As a Professor of Balkan Letters, I think you should read up on actual history Mr Kurtmac. The recent Balkan wars were not really fought over religion although the warring sides were Catholic, Eastern Orthodox or Muslim. It is far more complicated than that as Nick said, all sides suffered but nobody more than the Bosanci. Vukovar in Croatia was wiped out but Zagreb was not touched. If you are looking for X-Mas musica, you best avoid Marko Perkovic or Darko Rendek LOL.

awesome video, kurtmac!!! my parents are born in croatia and i go there almost every summer but i never really knew about any of the christmas traditions they had over there since i was never there during the christmas season...my mother does make certain desserts and stuff like that on christmas eve but i don't think we follow any actual croatian traditions...so anyway great video....oh and the itunes store has quite a bit of croatian music..not sure about christmas music though....

Just imagine how far you came with your little video. From the "beautiful game" to the anthropological study. You certainly do understand now what effect the arrogance of the English media produced in Croatia. They treated the team as a bunch of hicks from some Boratland. That was an utterly unacceptable to Croats.
@kurtmac please dont judge an entire nation by what you read on the internet. the war was driven by 3 nationalistic politicians. It is terrible for you to demonize every serbian person. what happen in the war is a tragedy and many people died on all sides. Research more on the subject before you judge. Nothing against croats of course most of you are good people.

we have music from Slavonija, Dalmatian music called Klape, amazingly beautiful
serbia first invaded croatia..bosnia was afterwards. they occupied 1/3 of croatian land before it was retaken in 1995, i was there..great times and celebrations. serbia also fought slovenia and albanians in kosovo. christmas is celebrated in normal catholic style...and luckily is not commercialized like here in the states (must buy 50 gifts, bombarded with advertisements, etc) all in all, good post and your interest is appreciated.
