  • Thanks!

Yes Angel were brilliant and their music has stood the test of time :D

  • Another WAY underated band. Just over 41,000 views, Well that sucks. I was 7 and my brother had this album. I remember getting the biggest kick out of turning the cover upside down and it still read ANGEL. That was the coolest. This band rocked. Thanks for the post.

  • I remember this in high school...this song should have been bigger than it was. My deejay friend played it to death!

  • SO CHEEEEESY!!!

    PUNKY MEADOWS RULES

  • ..Superb guitar work...

  • keyboard player greg guiffria now part-owner/vip several casino const. jobs in gulf port/las vegas, (way to go greg!) back stage party at superjam, busch stadium 1978 was a concert moment at its finest

  • @ladyrhiannon The whole catalog has been remastered and re-released by BGO records. That also includes their final LP SINFUL. Found mine on Amazon. Angel and Helluva band are packaged together as are On Earth and White Hot. Live and Sinful are sold individually. They still sound great!

  • @TheMrTripod Awesome!!

  • punky uses ampeg guitar amps, not marshall

  • IDIG THIS BAND

  • Cool Gibson Explorer and overdriven Marshall stack tones!! Right on Punky Meadows!!

  • PUNKY'S LIPS!

  • WOW Punky NOT playing his strat!!

  • Great drummer. Frank is an underrated vocalist.

  • Thanks. I love my memories of seeing Angel and the entrance was unforgettable. Angel / Godz. I remember the magazine ad "A Match Made In Heaven." Saw them again in arena with I believe Styx. I should have made notes!

  • God,Terry Bozio really ripped the guitarist a new one in the movie"Baby Snakes"!

    NOw i see why.LOL!!!

Though i think i would like this more had i not seen this video .

Maybe if it was playing on someones turntable it would be cool.

I would buy it for a dollar a Goodwill if i saw it and laugh hysterically at the photos!

  • Como dice mi amigo Sergio León, Angel es un mix entre Quiet Riot y Kiss... Casualidad?

  • como dice la casualidad, claudiomufami es un 'mix' entre sergio león y la ignorancia...típico?

  • I remember buying On Earth As It Is In Heaven when i was young. Got White Hot right after. Damn! Over 30 years?

  • I saw angel with black stallion and acdc in 76 and went and bought hellova band

  • Angel Live=Fun

These guys would have been huge in the MTV era

  • The roadies would stack boxes with plexiglass fronts on them at the beginning of the show, while the announcer would talk. Then a light would appear inside the box & the guy would be inside. Thought that was really cool! Nice magic trick to start the show off!

  • this was the first concert i saw..i was 10..my brother told my mom he was taking me to see the harlm globe trotters...i was and still in awe..what a show..i remeber ever second

  • Angel kicks ass! Barry Brandt is one of my favourite drummers. Felix Robinson does a nice job on this song...................

  • @dws901 DID YOU KNOW THAT HE DIED,THAT'S WHY THEY DISMEMBERED

  • I like this version

  • This band really was very good, really good Live! Maybe a little underrated or could chalk it up to bad timing wise. Great download, thanks for sharing a great version of that song!

  • cool saw these guys with THE GODZ iN Poughkeepsie ny late 70s it was an awesome show

  • We saw them with The Godz in Mpls, probably the same tour - I agree it was awesome!

  • When I was growing up I modeled myself on Barry Brandt ,,, so as you can imagine, I'm a pretty cool guy.

  • Punky's sound is really unique. Does anyone know the rig he used? I think it was a Music Man amp. I saw them at the marathon of rock in Detroit in the early 80's. They didn't wear white just jeans and that. odd

  • I thought this was an awesome version! And you can't beat "Don't Leave Me lonely!"

  • This was a great song originally done by The Young Rascals, but didn't really fit in with Angel's style. Kind of like when Kiss covered "Then She Kissed Me". Casablanca should've pushed "Don't Leave Me Lonely" instead. Angel remains a cult band where even satellite radio ignores them. I'd like to see/hear a station that plays nothing but failed headliners and opening acts. There's usually at least one gem on every album. And Angel released WHITE HOT, an underrated gem of an album.

  • My 2 favorite Angel songs are "Under Suspicion", and "White Lightning".

  • Hey, thanks for the info.... Yeah, Punky definitely had 'the look'. ...blue\black, eh? Sounds cool. Ya know, I kinda like the all- white outfits; I like the whole image thing. It made them different.

  • Yeah, dude, I remember my best friend's older sister really liked 'em when I was in grade school- honestly, I've only heard 'on earth as it is in heaven'(I think that's the name of it)- I bought it when I was in high school... Tell me about 'helluva band' if you don't mind. ps. their logo is the absolute BEST EVER! looks the same upside down!!!!

  • Yeah, I actually respect Angel; and I remember them as a kid. I love 'the tower' and 'can you feel it', ... All I said is that THIS SONG is awful. 'prolly'?!

  • awful

  • Is it me or does punky look just like stephie powers of hart to hart tv show??

  • Where the hell did you find this video?

Do you have Don't leave me lonely? Had the album in 1980, age 8, loved the logo, drew it all the time. Older cousin was a drummer in the long haired rock and roll band heyday.Remind me of Sweet

  • Gregg Giuffria was the keyboard player, and yes he did form Giuffria.

  • i saw these guys in syracuse N.Y. in 76 i was leaning against the stage. it was angel then rush then blue oyster cult. what a concert.i always thaught they were under rated. i have all there albums & have put them on C.D.

  • well lets not get carried away now, they were definitely one of glam rocks more respected bands but to say rock wouldn't be what it is if not for angel is an exaggerated comment... they were never in a league with any of the more popular bands of the 70's - especially alice cooper... if you wanna talk about glam or shock rock..

  • i never was a fan of "Angel" however, a friend of mine way back when convinced me one day to buy their live album "live without a net" & it wasn't bad.. i never owned any of their studio albums.. i guess for a glam rock band they weren't too bad... at the time they came around there was so much competition & so many really good bands that no one really paid any mind to them...

  • i had all their albums..saw them in amarillo tx...they were good. i was suprise dto find this...i used to really like'got love if you want it"

  • Thanks For Posting This.. ;)

  • I love the shot at 2:22, just to show off the bell bottoms and platform shoes

  • I was at the cinema last Sunday to see "And When did you last see your Father". Part of the film is set in 60s and in one scene this song comes on the radio. Believe it or not all the times I've heard Angel's version over the last 25 years or so I never knew it was a cover! Found out it was the Rascals when I read the credits.

  • LOL!!!!!!!!

  • These guys were great. Circus Magazines best new band in 77 if I'm correct.

  • God That Song Gets Me So Damn Hot!!! YeeHah!!!

  • OMG these are my favs from the 70's! Can you put up more? Like "flying w/broken wings"

  • I'd love to see something from the "White Hot" album. These guys kicked ass! Thanks for the post!

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Cool!

They were the pioneers of glam rock?

  • i promise not to cum in your mouth!!!!!!!!

  • Anything by Angel is the greatest...long live our White Hot heroes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
