  • isnt it bad for your shoulders if you go below 90 degrees to touch your chest? ive been having shoulder pains because i was touching my chest and my elbow was going below 90 degrees. anyone know what to do to help?

  • @koreanboi797 Yeah I had the same problem.Every once in a while bench with a lighter wait maybe 5 lbs lighter & add another 2 or 3 reps see how that feels when going all the way down if still painfull go lighter till it feels right.Do that every other week so you can maintain your regular bench this is just so you can bullid strength at the bottom once you feel good @ your normal bench going all the way down stick with that wait until you can move on.

  • My goal has always been 300 on bench... but lately these days it seems the more I try the harder my body fails... I just want to quit lifting for like 5 months... Im gonna be 26 and I already feel like im getting too fuckin old..

  • @13098519 haha ur never to old. I've seen dudes that are 50 doing stuff like this. And if ur body is failing when you work harder, you should probably take a week or two off. to recover.

  • @13098519 It sounds like you may lack some diversity in your workout routine, or perhaps you are'nt eating enough or sleeping properly. The problem usually starts with one or more of these three things. How are your lifestyle habits in these areas ?

  • Wow great lift man. It takes so much dedication to get strong like that. Ahhhh this brings back memories of when I was lifting that weight for my 1RM (back when I was 14 yr old, 135lb BW). Now I finally got to 689 pounds raw (no spot) on bench press. Through hard work and dedication we (mainly myself) can achieve anything!

  • It takes a lot of dedication to get that point of strenght. It took me 3 years to lift that weight, now I'm at 415, not easy. Nice form on the lift.

Only 30% of em (400 mln) live in large cities in developped countries, thus have access to gyms. 70% (250mln) of em are healthy enough to do sports. Roughly 40% (100 mln) of them do any sport. 25% (25mln) of them choose BB as sport. Id say 1 in 100 amateur athletes can do this. So 250K men. 100%-(250K/3000000K*100%) = ~ %99.99 =)))))

  • @mookie1225 you know that if you do benchpress without touching your chest, you have pressure on your chest muscle thru the whole set. many people touch the chest to get a bounce the way up. better to not touch and keep the back straight for maximum results

  • Excellent! Only the first 4 reps could be fuller, but EXCELLENT anyway! For us Europeans, that's 142.9 kg!!! Very good! Only pros usually do more than that (in sets)... I am lucky to hit 10 proper reps with 198.5 lb/90 kg... Then again I weigh 188.5 lb/85.5 kg... My max is only 248 lb/112.5 kg... :-))))))) Waaaay to go... :-)
