@LostGreying On the website where the game can be found (Rather, Preview 3 of the game) the game description compares The Underside to Castlevania, Metroid, Earthbound/Mother 2, and Cave Story. Furthermore, a promo video uploaded to Youtube by Arthur (Podunkian) Lee, the games' developer, features an apparently unlockable costume for our protagonist Ip that looks very similar to the clothes worn by Quote.
