I have never heard a faith teacher ever claim to be commanding God. We simply believe in Christ's finished work. We do not command God, we simply command the provision that God has already established in heaven to come to pass in our lives. I for one am proud to cliam my inheritence, and I do so by making sure that my speech lines up with the word of God and loosening that witch has already been given.

"Command ye me" to demoinstrate how the faith techers proclaim the soverginty of man over God's soverignty. While they may not always quote this text the idea of commanding God.or telling God what to do "BY Faith' (sic) is certainly evident in their theology.
Actually, please read the various commentaries on Mark 11:22 at biblos dot com. They have parallel commentaries on this passage. Some say EXACTLY what the Faith teachers say. They address the literal langauge as saying: Have the faith of God. That is the translation. Again, you can have your belief but I don't see why it necessitates you combatting other Christians. Barnes, Clarke, and Gills....come on...they are very traditional commentary. They back what Price and others have said.
@daytonville You have failed to consider the GRAMMAR of Mark 11:22. In the text GOD is the subject NOT faith. Also, there is no other place in the Bible stating God has faith. It sh/be at the least 2 other texts that confirms that belief. I am combatting the doctrine, not the teachers. Price and the faith guys have deified faith by claiming God is subject to faith. I am just "CONTENDING FOR THE FAITH" .
I am not saying that you are not allowed to disagree with them. Of course you can. But can we as Christians be good brothers and sisters? You have your role in the body. They have theirs. Why make such public declarations about your brothers if you're only pulling one or two line quotes from their books? You are not delving into their full explanations of what they said. That's not sound. You even attack a teacher's title of a book. That's not a sound critique, attacking the title.

Based on your own admission, all the Faith teachers said was that other translations say it like this. And they do. So they told the truth. Can you at least admit that?

Pastor Blocker: Concerning the part about those saying God is servant to the will of man. Hopefully you recognize this as the spirit of the man of lawlessness who is moving to exalt himself above all that is God. It is evident in our culture, nationally and eventually globally, where humanity is in a push to make itself to be God-and even above God.
Pastor, You should not take things out of context and add your own twist of doubt and unbelief. The proof is in the fruit. I personally have applied the principles that these ministers teach and the results changed the course of my life. I have spent nearly 30 years studying the subject of faith and how to apply it. I am sorry but you are wrong!!! Dead WRONG!!! Without faith you can't even please God. You need to read Hebrews 11. Faith is what moves the hand of God. Not my needs.
@uncommonachiever1 The "faith" teachers say, "faith is a force and words are the containers of the force" If u use that defintion of faith then you have not studied BIBLICAL faith. I am not sure if u mean I have taken the bible or the faith teachers out of context. Your testimony of having applied the principles which changed your life doesnot differ from those followers of NewAge,or other beliefs. I am more interested in what God's word teaches rather than your or my subjective experience.
@uncommonachiever1 Results dont mean it is of God. Pharoah's priests believed in their abilities and brought forth that result by mimicking the earlier manifestations of God's hand through Moses. You have made faith to be your god. More specifically you have made faith to be servant to your will which you have made to be your god.
Faith is not a formula. However Gods Word is His will !!!!! If He said it that settles it for me !!!!!!!! My faith is based on His Word . God would not make such great and mighty promises to us if He never intended for us to have them. The first fundimental of faith is a deep abiding relationship with Jesus Christ.

Um...actually LITERAL translations do say what Faith teachers say:
Young's Literal Translation
And Jesus answering saith to them, 'Have faith of God;
Douay-Rheims Bible
And Jesus answering, saith to them: Have the faith of God.
Faith teachers say it says it and it does. Case closed.
