Ex landlady here....I have to say I was very strict....however when a loud young man came in one evening and his friends explained he had just returned....well that lad didn`t need to put his hand in his pocket...I even told him to put his feet up lol. Bless him he was only a 19 year old lad. His mum came in the following week and thanked me for welcoming her son home like that...I got a huge lump in my throat...she thanked me??? I thanked her!

I always buy a Poppy...my grandfather was killed in the First World War aged 27.
