  • i guess its wong shuen leung (RIP) isnt it?

  • I really hate to hear people put down other martial arts, especially ones that they have not trained in. U may not know it but u are really speaking ill of ur own instructors. Etiquette is part of every dojo I have trained in. Respect and humility is part of that in any good dojo, unless you are cobra Kai. There are mma fighters that have taken wing chun due to its sensitivity training. No real martial artist disregards anything useful, because we are all training to protect our own lives one

  • How long did the video?

  • wow! cool I'll train this shots everyday!

  • Best music ever on a martial arts video. Feels like in an elevator.

  • @illasarous Just shadow box, pretend someone's there and make it as realistic as possible

  • Like ip man said himself, "it's not about the style, it's about you..."

  • easy: 10minutes: you can learn some useless forms or learn how to kick during a kickboxing class... choice is yours

  • @marekmaxpabianice wybieram wing chun

  • and the titleholder will get his ass handed to him. Wing Chun is used against every martial arts style and wins. U need to read more about it, you speak like a child.

  • This may be another awesome figthing style, but i would love to see a wing Chung grandmaster take on a mma titleholder in a fight

  • This helped my eskrima training. Martial arts rulz.

  • 7:30 SUCK ON THAT NEWTON!

  • I want to learn this art sooooo bad!

  • @artiejf it's like dancing. Put on some techno music or rap, and slowly do the techniques to the beat, until you can get used to it. Then get faster. Be sure not to turn to somebody can hit you in the chest or kidneys. It is designed to block all kicks, and punches. It also allows offense and grappling/trapping.

  • Coooooool videos over here!!! Super cool and really good for basic self defence

  • is it possible to learn these moves, or any other fighting technic, if you do not have a partner to practice with? im 19, all my friends live no where near me. just want to know how good ill actually be if i train alone with no sparing

  • i have 3 years experience of capoeira, n i was thinking practicing this style.. do you think this style can go wit capoeira??? answersss

  • @steven10462 Depends what you mean "can go with". I love Wing Chun because it is so practical. I train boxing for fitness but WC for the art. I think you can practice WC because of its simplicity in application, when you fight you will do what comes natural. WC looks boring comapared to some other flashy styles like Capoeira but is very effective when understood.

  • @2bsure honestly,i dont depend on being flashy because thats the last thing u wana do when self defending yourself,i do capoeira because it might look flashy and playful, but its very tricky,it deceives alot of opponents.now personally ,i dont find WC boring, it looks very interesting with what it does, its almost similar to capoeira,it goes with the attack instead of blocking it,only thing your doing it mostly with your hands,so im really interested ,i feel i will be unstoppable with this art =)

  • @steven10462

Bruce lees Jeet Kune Do was based around WC. I beauty of it though, is that you attack and defend at the same time.

Indeed like capoeira it is flashy, buts deceiving flashy, its very direct and (for lack of a better word) deadly. What may seem like a flashy move is actually several possible attacks

  • @vasgeorge Please elaborate on that.

  • principles are for idiots...

  • This is a really good video!

  • i bet master wong feels like a bad ass...

    sick

  • Excellent stuff...

  • no top comment now's my chance!!!!!!

  • @TheWarAngel777 but your top comment can be easily tackled with my MMA skill!

Trust me, I've learned MMA from my English teacher, his cooking is delicious!

His cooking will definitely work in real fight rather than my English!

  • @TheWarAngel777 hahaha xD

  • groovy

  • he has little feet.

  • the soundtrack was pretty funky. I almost put on some flares and pretended I was dubbed

  • Cool!!

  • Where is this clip taken from? Any name of the original video?

  • @Inactive1o1 It is called "Wing Chun: The Science In-Fighting" By Wong Shun Leung in 1982. He is also one of Yip Man's notable students. Right next to Bruce Lee.

  • @ErikCasse1 wong shun leung taught bruce lee. bruce lee was by name a student of ip man, but most of his personal learning came from wong shun leung

  • @tomas1151 You fucking dumbass. It doesn't matter what martial arts you use. It just matters how you use it. Dumbass.

  • wing chun is great but there are great than this and great users also for example kalari varmakalai and its other arts nothing can beat it because this martial art user can defeat its opponents by looking this called kill at sight you can browse about noku varmam and know it

  • @assassinkumar Erm, there's no such thing as a "system that can't be beaten." It's not about the system, it's the person using it and his/her level of expertise, skill, and experience. Any style can be used effectively for self-defense and any style can be "beaten" as well.

  • @typhon3808 It's useless to explain this principle to these armchair fighters. Even the host of the UFC fights, Joe Rogan, doesn't understand this principle.

  • @tomas1151 dumbass all styles originated in china, kungfu is the ancestor of all fighting styles

  • @LAHrebirth That's not true. There are many styles (like Savate for instance) that had nothing to do with China.

  • @StevenE1972 Capoeira too

  • @StevenE1972 but with Vietnam. And vietnamese martial arts come from chinese

  • @VingTsunFANATIC I wasn't aware of that! Interesting...

  • @LAHrebirth nope...india is...the founder and originator of kung fu was an indian monk

  • @LAHrebirth not all styles idiot.

  • @LAHrebirth Not european boxing that's from ancient Greece.

  • @LAHrebirth But you're right other fighting styles are from kungfu

  • @LAHrebirth i would like to agree, but no. you can say "MOST" are. to name some, jiu jitsu, judo, krav maga, kajukenbo, etc etc all have some influence of kung fu. The Mesopotamian civilization had their own martial arts and the Mesopotamian civilization existed thousands of years before kung fu was invented......

  • @LAHrebirth

    Not all.

  • @LAHrebirth no dumbass your wrong, first recorded fighting style ever was from persia.

  • @LAHrebirth dumbass. how do you explain pankration? wrestling? or judo? or brazillian jujitsu?

those do not originate from chinese kungfu.

  • I can tell krav maga took alot of influence from wing chun as well as boxing.

  • One of the best 泳春拳 training video made and watch in English. This video give proper sub-title and headers to each stroke and techniques while other video tends to focus on the trainer instruction. Reason could be the other videos may be promotional video to train at the trainers' martial art schools.

  • this is an effective way of learning wing chun

  • @tallon115 do u even know wassup

  • this stuff is crap!

  • @talon115 tell that to bruce lee

  • @RICTONDENRIS In case you didn't realize... Bruce Lee went 180 degrees away from this crap in his development of JKD. The only thing he kept from wang chun was the finger jab. Everything else he took from western boxing and fencing.

  • @talon115 write me a story about u bitching why dont u?

  • @talon115 You do know Wing Chun is Bruce Lee's fave martial art and he's first

    martial art do you??

  • @talon115 There is no such thing as a crap fighting style in most cases. You should realise by now it all comes down to the person using that fighting style. The reason bruce lee never used this in his development of JKD was because JKD was almost completly offensive. There aren't any blocks as far as i know, and all defence consists of dodging. Bruce Lee thought that every fighter should be fast enough to get in the first strike, before the other person strikes to knock them out.

  • That was the whole idea behind JKD. Not all of us are that fast however and have to resort to blocking in most cases, should we be attacked. If you're still doubtful of this style however, Yip Man took out a soldier when he was about 15 with this style.

  • @MrJackanddena actually, this is false. Bruce Lee used a lot of WC concepts in the development of JKD.

  • @fievel3782 Concept's are different from actual techniques. You can take concepts from lots of different martial arts, and apply them with different techniques.

  • @talon115 Its Bruce lee's fave and first martial art FOOL!!!

  • Comment removed

  • 7:31 Yip man!!!! awesome

  • @scissorphilip look up Sean seal the deal

  • Thank you.

  • Im not a kid, im 22 years old and i work at mcdonalds in east chicago indiana i just wanted to know because here in chicago there are alot of fights and problems so knowing how to fight is a bog concern.

  • @GIANTCHINEASBALLS Get a gun and shoot it at will. Done!

  • @EunusRex ok :D

  • @GIANTCHINEASBALLS Ignore the ignorant fella.

The answer is Yes, Wing Chun is very effective and effecient in street fights.

Keep in mind that Wing Chun is a Martial Arts anf it was used in the times of War in the East.

Wing Chun is considered the fastest Martial Art so its very handy on the streets.

I practise it and I encoutered ot one time at my school.

Wing Chun is to eliminate the oppenent AQAP.

Wing Chun is indeed handy for street fights.

    Success in your training.

  • @eppsislike Thank you atleast i have my answer now :D

are you learning from these videos or do you go to an actuall class?

  • @GIANTCHINEASBALLS I'm taking classes but when you have a day off these videos can help you alot to improve your techniques.

I'm practising Wing Chun for almost a year now and Wing Chun is very easy to learn, see it as a element you yet have the posses. Just like when you were little and you learned writing and reading, WC is the exact same element only you're pushing your body to a other level wich is always good.

Bruce Lee started with WC and he was outstanding.

  • Is that a skinny sammo hung?

  • if u know wing chun does it help you in a street fight ? someone tell me!!!!!!!!!!

  • @GIANTCHINEASBALLS lol kids<<< asking same question.

no it does not. Wing Chun is not 2 help u in a street fight.

  • *need

  • This is not traditional Wing Chun. This is the official Version. Traditional do not net Championchips.

  • 9:30 Ip mans Photo on the wall!!

  • has anyone ever used it in mma and if so how effective is it.

  • love the music ;)

  • Wing Chun is an awesome self defense/ street fighting system! Mix it with some wrestling and you're a complete fighter!

  • Traditionell aber sehr gut

  • Wing chun must have more understanding of human physiology and fighting than this video shoes. This video would be good to promote it to a hollywood promoter. But as an effective martial art...dont think so!

  • what is the name of the video source?

  • what is the name of the video source?

  • wow galing n'ya

  • This is my all time favorite Martial Arts Video period.

  • ...;o)

  • Thank you, 70's or early 80's?

  • IP MAN!!!! ON THE WALL AT 7:32!! WOOT WOOT

  • What's IP Man?? I'm here because of Robert Downey Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes!! :P

  • Thanks for posting these video's

  • learned a lot from this video... but yeah, the music is something to be endured...

  • IP MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I live in San Diego and am currently being instructed by Sifu Roger Angeli. He started in 1962 with master Criss Chan in San Francisco. Master Chan studied with Yip Man himself in the early 50's and his classmate was the famous Bruce Lee. Mr. Angeli has over 40 years of expierence in Wing Chun.

  • somebody translate this to spanish =/ ....

  • Executed beautifly.

  • the music is crappy

  • love this video ty

  • just go to google and search one closer for you

  • I do want to study Wing chun but where can I find a good school with good intructor? I live in Mpls, MN. Please help

  • @ncigntujyang I don't know sorry :(

  • @V78thgz look for all the dojos, go watch or practise a class at each. Then make your choice. How i would make my choice: 1) is this an american mcdojo, where the martial art has been watered down and changed, as the instructor (probably white) has created his 'own style' of the martial art, if so then no 2) Does this instructor seem to have the best technique out of all the instructors i have seen? If no then no. 3) do i have any uneasy feelings that this place is a scam? if so no. Good luck!

  • @ncigntujyang chang kunfu school/yaolan

  • @ncigntujyang I had the same problem you did finding a school. the GOOGLE website should help you locate a good school in your state. Give it a try im sure you will find at least one school close to you. Good luck! and keep training.

  • @ncigntujyang you can find lessons in youtube and practice alone if you dont find any school. i found a channel very usefull 138mws master wong

  • @ncigntujyang I'm not sure if there is near where you live, bust search for I.S.M.A Wyng Tjun, its a very big organization almos worldwide. hope i helped =)

  • @gwidao123

Thanks for your reply. I heard about Twice CitiesWing Chun and will check them out next week.

  • @ncigntujyang China xD

  • @ncigntujyang If you live in California(san diego county)- I've tried looking/searched around..no luck so far.I'm looking now around LA(orange county). The closet thing to it in California will have to be Jeet Koon Do schools. Such as the the Dan Inosanto school in LA. To bad there are possibly no Wing Chun or JKD schools in San Diego County...what a shame!!

  • @ncigntujyang I know that there's a Southern Praying Mantis school in Minneapolis, the roots of which are the same as Wing Chun. Maybe you'd like it.

  • @ncigntujyang I live in the Twin Cities too, and I've decided to study from books and manuals on Wing Chun instead of at a school or with a trainer. I would recommend "The Wing Chun Compendium" Volumes I and II. Hope this helps. Message me if you find an academy though!

  • @Bullwhip27

No I did not find any school yet but how long have you learn from book? maybe we can get together so we can share what we know and learn from each other.

  • @ncigntujyang Dude you can learn a lot from those videos. Just make sure you put them to practical use with friends. Otherwise you do not learn to execute it properly. It is going to take you at least 9 months to onderstand the basic of the style. Body shifting is btw not needed and slowing your basic skills down in responding to fast hits.

  • @ncigntujyang try any school which is not named, WT, EWTO, EBMAS or has anything to do with leung ting. that shall lead you to success

  • @schulleee

    Thanks

  • @ncigntujyang google search a school in your city.

  • @ncigntujyang Google it. :) Look for a nearby school in your region. Have a nice day. :)

  • @ncigntujyang

    Google it

  • @ncigntujyang the best thing u can do is try 2 learn from these videos=[

or google a place around u. buttt< they might not be good

  • @PLAY8OY11

This sifu looks prettty good. He might be one of the best teacher around today. Thanks for reply.

  • This is excellent! I wish I could remove the music as it is a bit distracting, but he video is well worthwhile to me. Thank you for uploading this.

  • surely that 1 inch punch demonstration was a lil exaggerated

  • Yard Sell ;)

  • How did you get this video ? :)

  • I'm a fan an student of Wing Chun. These videos are great Thank You! ;)

  • @ abgef, sir you are no martial artist. first thing that ib was taught was to respect other styles & people. so go pop in another ufc dvd & stop disrespecting other arts. personally i find wing chun to be interesting.

  • thats master wong shun leung, taught by yip man. yip or ip is considered correct spelling. mr leung is considered one of yip man's best, but i must say this vid, and i actually have the whole hing on dvd, is rigid looking, not relaxed and flowing.

  • whats up with that porno music?

  • @THiZZAAFuRR This was made in the 1970's

  • @THiZZAAFuRR

    looll u made my day

  • @THiZZAAFuRR this was that hot music back then, just look at when dude was jammin in his room on enter the dragon :-). 70's had some music lol

  • is this Leung Sheung?

  • That's exactly what I'm taught at my Wing Chun training.

  • Snake would clearly kick wong's wing chun with his CQC ( ;

  • @Catalyst8D every martial artist knows its not about style mate

  • @doublebassrox it was a joke silly :p

anyways from technical stand point it seems like style helps. just like a person who wields a weapon, a person who has more knowledge, or a person who has more will. A style could be more flexible which can give an upper hand. or given the situation, be surperior.

for example, you know its obvious that brazilian jujitsu nullifies the advantage say boxing had if a one on one fight were to be taken to the ground.

  • @doublebassrox i dont know how to fight, so if you give me that bullcrap theory about just hit the opponent, i'd fail against someone who new a martial art well.

  • @Catalyst8D That's the reason why you don't even know a single martial art, because you are not smart enough to understand the bullcrap theories of each martial art. And yeah, all martial art have bullcrap theory which you have to learn first before you start punching someone.

  • @aj27117 No. The reason i don't know a single martial art is because I'm a college student who doesn't have the time or money for it.

oh i understand the theories, it's not a matter of intelligence. It's a matter of application.

  • @Catalyst8D Trust me pal, once you are done with schooling your life will be much more busy. Look at me. I can't even go out on a date. But I still practice Wing Chun every saturday or sunday for 1-2 hours a day. As for the cost, well it's a bit expensive but I have a job so I can pay for it. But when I quit my job my sifu was very kind and he still teaches me even if I don't pay him. As for your case, why don't you construct a wooden dummy and practice with it. I can also teach you if u want.

  • @Catalyst8D no you idiot. if one has equal experience in WC and another ,equal experience in another style and they both know each respective style very well, then it would be logical for them to be equally skilled. so if you fight someone who doesnt know how to fight as much as you then obvously no one would be the victor.

  • @doublebassrox (im just gonna ignore the fact that you called me an idiot) you're argument is that they must have "equal experience" in order to be equally skilled. ok i can abide to that since it is logical. But the fact of the matter is having the same experience is as rare as making an exact clone of yourself who has the same emotions, mind, memories, physical attributes, and "experience" as you. Additionally, both martial arts are going to be taught different, so their experience will be dif

  • @doublebassrox (continuing on) they won't be equally skilled either, since different martial arts focus on different aspects. Therefore my conviction still stands. im not saying one martial art(style) is better than another, but i wll say that one martial art can be superior than the other in terms of which one is applied for a particular scenario. if you can't agree with that then we'll never meet eye to eye. so there's no point in arguing further.

  • For all you that are arguing about martial arts, stop reciting theory and just hit the opponent.

  • @thesock339 in the wise words of donnie yen

  • @doublebassrox Yeah, I keep forgetting his name. Thanks :D

  • tremendo documental pero habra posibilidad de que tenga subtitulos en español, no entiendo una mierda de ingles. gracias

  • i want to try to combine Wing Chun with Aikido

  • @noOneL0vesAjew I think it can be pretty effective but wing chun already uses some of the akido within himself. Its better to learn Wing Chun first (because its pretty difficult) before trying to combine it with different techniques to get the most out of it.

  • 4 people fight karate

  • the arguing of the best martial arts is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, it is only how you execute the martial art not thee martial art itself.

  • @Buhllake Most arguing is contingent on best execution, or at least on exceptional execution, although sometimes arguments cover what is easiest to learn or teach for self-defense purposes.

  • If you are watching this video cause of IP Man...thumbs up!
