I think the first crash must have hit around the last 80s.... it certainly did for Baseball cards, you can still buy 1988 sets for the original price!
You forgot to mention "Dealers Greed" Dealers bought 10 times their normal order and when it crashed it took out the good ,bad and ugly....dealer's greed!
