  • I'd like to see how your Squall turns out. I main him too but with an Accel EX build. You should try Firion as well.

  • its fine if your cowardly, terras moves have some of the longest range. you do have a good fighting style, although i have never been a fan of her thundara, but i love her blizzara and holy combo. yes i love terra, she won me inward chaos, my main four are ultimecia, kefka, terra and kuja, only the best of the best!!

  • youve got a great style with terra, im not much help with this cuz im a physical guy but guarding takes care of guys like onion knight and cloud well so if your having troublle with them try to guess when they will hit and guard. preferabbly then follow up with her blizzard combo to DESTROY them

  • Nice Job. I usually use Kuja or Warrior of Light, however. Terra is just not my style. but good job.

  • great vid i hope they bring out a dissidia 2 but with more characters for each FF like for 7 cloud, zack, vincent and Sephiroth, reno(his lighting stick thing would be cool) and hojo or 10 use tidus,Auron and wakka and Jecht,Seymour and yunalesca

  • Seifer and Zell could be more characters from FF8!

The least they could do is bring in FF12 characters though

  • Terra's my main character as well, but our styles really differ. However I must admit that yours looks more effective xD Being more aggressive might be the afster way to end a battle, but it's much more risky... I think I learned something from this battle :P

  • You're doing pretty good. For me, the easiest way to use terra, is to use Meteor from the start, than there's a little transition where you're in the air, I immediatly use Thundara after, and then a Holy Combo, Flare, Flare, Ultima :) It'll go even faster with Chaos's judgement on! Good fight!

  • That IS indeed how Terra is used...which is why I don't use Terra. It seems so boring. My main is Squall, alt Tidus, because those are my favorite characters.

  • The BEst way to learn and train a character is to pit yourself against the same character. Choose any difficulty you want and set the lvl to equal or a few lvls above your own character. Plus, you could basically steal the computers eqiupment because its sometimes the best equipment for the character. the only real disadvantage to this strategy is that you go used to your own character that you kind of forget how to fight other characters in the game. Just make sure to switch it up now and then.

  • I think you did very well. You did a lot better than I would do, because I prefer close range fighters, like Squall, Cloud, and Zidane. I don't think you played cowardly; you used the best strategy for using characters like Terra.

  • It may be a good idea to upload some good dissidia fights for filler while you train for Dark Anima ;)

Don't think of yourself as cowardly Terra is one of the strictly ranged characters, thats how she was designed.

As for Sephiroth training i mained him originally but since then i have like 8 other characters mastered. Key for him is to move fast and to keep opponents off guard with oblivion and godspeed and as for his regular circle attacks wait a second so the shockwaves can hit fully

  • Terra is not really that great of a character because she is so predictable. At least you sort of know how to use her (ie. meteor combos) but against a person they will rape you alive.

  • so i need to learn how to mix up her attacks right?

  • i can take a loss better than you can,so I already said u got your victories, but if you're going to tell it, tell it correctly. Thank you sir. See you at work :)

  • You gotta learn how to use Kuja hes so awesome and he can ALWAYS FLY!! So if you like flying in Terra EX mode then try Kuja :)

  • I don't like long ranged fighters in this game so you're better thn me with Terra. Since I main Onion Knight I kind of understand he can be annoying and have learned to block his attacks. I suggest you at least try to get a little better equipment. A weapon which is fairly easy to get is Ultima Blade. Pick up the friend codes from Gamefaw or something, get the items and you'll have a good weapon everyone can equip. And I'd say: Block. That and Riposte is a killer combo with everyone ;)

  • For Terra player you're doing awesome better than me, You probably already know but EX mode is the best to escape combos. Yeah I hate onion Knight very much, i can block everyone without problem but him I never learn to -.-

I rather pick up Chaos than Onion Knight.

Loved the battle very epic it doesn't even look like you're new to the game awesome Job :)

  • you play pretty good. i have a few suggestion for you though.

first of all: thundara is very easy to dodge and i find it to be useless. blizzara is way more reliable. at least for me.

second: good use of meteor. it excels in maps like this with complicated landscape.

p.s. i find that charging meltdown only to it's second stage is terra's deadliest attack. it starts slow but for some reason a lot of cpu's don't dodge it at all or dodge too early which results in them getting hit. i'm just saying.

  • i'lll learn to use blizzara, but i need thundara for my rival. it stops his starfall spam.

  • hey whatever you think is best. i'm just saying that thundara doesn't work for me. if it works better for you then by all means use it.

  • Also if you have the time could you maybe explain how exactly you uploaded it onto the computer? I have all the items needed i just want someone to help guide me through it

  • Considering i fight Terra fairly often since my friend mains him, i can offer a bit of advice or two.

-Good Use of meteor, great for harrassment as you seen.

-Because of the change of holy combo making flare able to miss, i think blizzara would be a better addition to your arsenal. It has the strongest breaking power of all your spells.

    -get better gear, it helps.

-You dont play cowardly enough. :) Keep a mid range more and harass with meteor and blizzara.

    My two cents

  • To add on, to previous post...

-BLOCK. I learned to use this as much or more than dodge.

-Against a human player, most of terra's spells fail vs a simple free air dash. Be aware of this.

-Lastly, everyone hates fighting onion. Get a better weapon (i can tell with your damage yours is a bit low) and break his low def.

-Accessorize + magic attack with good multipliers. lvl 100, mult of 4 and 5, before and after summons, and large gap in hp are all good choices.

  • at firsty i only played long enough to shut up my rival..I mopped the floor with him. but now i see how fun the game is. I'll learn all the advance stuff and best item/equip,ment in time. ^_^

I need to learn how to block..I know. But i don't need it for my rival. all he does is spam starfall..so in use ligtning to break it.

  • Umm....news flash...YOU DIDN'T SHUT ME UP!!!!

You don't understand the way I play with The Emperor so of course you would say something like "i spam Starfall". In that case you hate every Ultemicia and Kuja and Emperor player ever made.

And you didn't "mop" the floor with me" . If you can recall, I beat you the first two games until we switched stages and "SPAMED LIGHTNING ON THE CEILING!".

  • okay migel...i forgot what i posted. you where right.

we are pretty even now. that last fight was gay........

  • YOU SPELLED MY NAME WRONG!!!!

  • Gear suggestions:

Weapon: Your choice via Preference (either ultimate weapon, or something like dagger for ex duration, etc)

Hands: Blue Moon (+307 hp, +72def)

    Head: Chaplet (+330 Brave)

    Chest: Snowflake Sweater (+2564)

    Gives: Snowpetal Armor bonus:

+300% magic Counter strength (+brv counter attack vs magic)

+30% brv boost on block (yum)

Armor found randomly in Lunar Whale Course.

I suggest this set because its not TOO hard to get and gives great bonuses for Terra who wears light armor.

  • "EXP to Bravery Activated!" WTH is THAT!? I've been playing this game for over 135 hours and I've NEVER seen that. I have a few 100lvl characters and some of them have either EXP to Force or EXP to Brave equipped and it seems to do nothing for me in quick battle. In story mode, I see results in with the Force but I have yet to try Brave in story mode. What's the deal?

  • Comment removed

  • All it does is get you farther from 0 after an hp attack. useful to prevent breaks.

  • I know what it does, I was asking you why does it not work and why the message "EXP to Bravery Activated!" was shown on the screen.

  • ah, sorry.

Kefka had it. If you watch again, it brought him to 163 brv instead of 0 after the havoc wing, and 219 after trine.

  • Your pretty good for a terra user. I personally can't use her too well. Pretty nice though :) Do you purchase those CPU + things from the shop?

  • "I've only been playing dissidia for a few days"

-> But you play well for someone not playing for a while.

"I'm having trouble with some of the lv 90+ battles in the duel colloseum"

-> Maybe you need better equipement, accesories and summons. Also, using guard is very usefull.

(btw, did you tried Inward Chaos ?)

And, as usually, good luck for the anima's fight. ;)

  • not yet. i haven't unlock inward yet.

  • Dude...u got whole long way to go...gud luck =)

  • COOL battle ^^

  • i know a trick you could try with terra :D and i suggest u use only second power of meltdown, its slower but its following, onlnie this is gold, but guess in a close space the fast one that bounces away from wall is better, dunno xD anywho, here. Use meltdown second lvl , right after use holy combo, if the meltdown hits, u can chain the branch move of holy combo , without them white balls to actually hit, thats pretty useful, i had somethnig else but i forgot :p sorry lol

  • Don't know about you guys, but I actually use the Gravity spell (Forgot what it's called), for really good use in Trance, since the second cast does not have any animation. It's also good for panicking the enemy.

  • The AI cancels it a lot. on human players..it's broken.

  • Hey, Phillip. How you been doing with your Chun-Li playing?

  • i thought i was good...but my recent trip to awa told me that i suck. lol

i've still got a lot to learn.

  • Have you look at any reference Videos of pro Chun players up on here?

  • yea..I did. i really only ave trouble wit shotos/sagat..and dhalsim. really good shunli players give me te most trouble..mirror matches.

actually..the awa tournament was on xbox controllers...wich i suck at. it might have been different if it ws ps3..but that other chunli user was insanly good.

ill keep watching te vidoes and learn how to user her better..but i need to gain some speed and stop those jump in crossovers.

  • AWA didn't allow sticks or anything? Or do you usually play with the PS3 controller?

  • yeah..they had sticks but i play on PS3 controller. the chunli contoller in the vid...i bought that while at awa..so i'm new to using it. i need to practice on it. and i'm STILL having trouble with the ultra on the left side... lol

  • yea i know what you mean about that left side, i play on a stick, and I never had trouble with it until now. Something in my brain is messing me up with my own ultra on the left side. I think its because I started subbing out shoto characters because I wanted to learn someone with a lot more options than Balrog. Shoto's have a curse against charge character players I swear. lol

  • hopefully super sf4 will give her a motion ultra instead of a charge one.

  • Terra is really hard to use seriously.

  • I'm not a Dissidia pro, but from my fighter experience I can tell you that practicing against the CPU is better for technique and precision, not necessarily trying to improve skill. The CPU's behaviors can force you into habits that human players will punish easily; instead of fighting them outright, use them as guinea pigs to test combos and practice your timing on certain moves. Once you know you can reliably pull off your moves, it leaves you free to practice your metagame on human opponents.

  • Terra is all about presure game, much like Kefka in the sense that there's gonna be shit flyin everywhere

Her blizzard, holy and meteor are her B&B brave moves

And you should have Sneak, Counterattack, and/or Riptoste on at all times, because when Blizzard crits, it crits hard..

Tornado is a particular hatred for me, because the move got watered down so much in the sense that you can now dodge Tornado.

Her Meltdown is good if you can learn how to time the ricochets. It gives added pressure.

  • nice there is some progress in the dark anima battle... its gonna be epic

and your terra is pretty good but you spam alot

and try to be unsuspecting as well when using moves

watch some of coderei's vids on terra

  • Thanks for the tip.

My rival spams the emperors star fall while hiding...so this is the way i'm use to using her. I'll practice more.

  • nice job..to bad my level 100 cloud is better JK JK!
