Ahmen to that! Traditionally, it's wooden shoes, almost like clogs but more form-fitting and not all wood. OR it is the leather shoes you see at the begining. Only recently really have they moved to tap shoes because the sound is more audible on STAGES.
Yes, it IS "Celtic DANCING". Look it up in a book or something. Yes, it may be a bit flashy, but COME ON it's a STAGE SHOW. Of course it has to be flashy. It stays true to it's roots though in it's fabulous dancing.
He is just Awesome. Great memories for me. I would go to every show he brought to New York City. All except when he came last year w Celtic Tiger. I extremely annoyed with the fanclub I was with. They did not even inform me of this coming to town. I even work in NYC- and no clue. Big dissapointment! I would go to any authentic Irish shwow w or without him in it. Such crazy talent.
Please remember. just how many millions of people that have been thrilled and entertained by all the effort.skill, dedication and work that all the Dancers put in to produce such wonderful shows.Cant you just appreciate quality whilst you stuff burgers & coke into you stupid ugly mouths.Just stick to the Simpsons..thats about your I.Q..

AHHH their is no such thing as riverdancing! its called itish step dancing. riverdance is just a show. its like calling musical theater phantom of the opera. just because a show does it doesnt mean thats its is own special form. riverdance is a irish dance show.
I thought this was Feet of Flames but I could be wrong. It's been awhile. I'm not an Irish dancer either but Michael Flatley brought it to pop culture for better or worse. That kind of attention is a double edged sword.
It's sad people don't appreciate the intricacies of soft shoe too. It took me awhile to appreciate it but it's pretty bad ass.
