I'm blown away by you guys!! Your bass player is crazy tight in that intro and your horn section totally reminds me of the brass bands I heard in New Orleans. Keep on keeping on!! If you guys ever tour through Pasedena little me know, would love to check you guys out.
This is just what u needed if im gonna stay 1 bass at my whole middle school gotta keep onboracticing those blue, damn fingers wooho i did preety good for 7th grade girl
im sorry but you play 30 bars and have a total of 192 bars out that is FUCKING retarded it might be blues but that doesn't mean you can relax for most of it... i basicallly made a cup of teas is that 48 x4 bars rest.... i supposed playing this at shows give the audience time to have a toilet break and get a pint of beer formthe bar before ou have to play again...
do you think you can post a pdf of the entire arrangement, in the concert tuning? This sounds like a fun one to play with my jazz band, I like that sax melody, but I would add maybe a pit of trumets at a mf whole-noting the chords, while the sax play at a f. A piano would be awesome at this tune, I just wanted the pdf to use as a sort of springboard for writing a head, and then using the melodies you have already, I like your style of composing. =)
its not uncommon to see a non-modal piece written without a key signature. I have a book of transcribed solos and not one of them (including one over a Bb blues) has a key signature.
Nice playalong, I used it for improvisation with my new guitar without looking at the notes - I don't know a thing about scales but I had lots of fun experimenting, trying to "feel" the blues scale. Great for jamming too, even if it's not the real intention.
@Kebabzruz For Eb instruments, you transpose a minor third down (three half-steps). Bb blues for alto would be G blues. Bb blues for tenor and trumpet would be C (one whole step up.)
@D2TBinc Try improv! this is a repeated 12 bar blues, chord changes are Bb7, Eb7, and a D7 Im pretty sure...... just play around those, playing whats written is laaaammme
Any instrument in Bb - Trumpet, Tenor / Soprano Sax, Clarinet etc, although instruments in other keys can use it. I believe that it is a Bb blues for instruments in C, and a G blues for instruments in Eb. Please correct me if i am wrong though
There is an inbuilt mixer with sibelius that allows you to change the volume levels of the various instruments, but you can't introduce new sounds for the instruments themselves.
When you say you can't introduce new sounds for the instruments themselves, forgive me if I've misunderstood you, but you can.... you can change the clarinet to sound like a trumpet, for example...
You need to work on those voicings man. Harmonising sax lines in 5ths doesn't sound hip.

Play everything a fifth above, so a C becomes a G, a C# becones a G# and so on
