  • You need to work on those voicings man. Harmonising sax lines in 5ths doesn't sound hip.

  • very cool : )

  • i just played along with this song on my alto.. i just learned a shit load in 6 mins!! thx! :D

  • Great job!

  • I'm blown away by you guys!! Your bass player is crazy tight in that intro and your horn section totally reminds me of the brass bands I heard in New Orleans. Keep on keeping on!! If you guys ever tour through Pasedena little me know, would love to check you guys out.

i play jazz clarinet by the way (and for those other clarinets, i am using C major and minor blues scales against this Bb track)

    C Eb F F# G Bb C - minor (play on chord 1)

    C D Eb E G A C - major (play on chord 4 and 5)

  • This is concert Bb blues which for instruments in concert pitch it's just like C major.

  • Great track for Eb blues harmonica :)

  • Comment removed

  • i can Finally play along to this on Bass! :D

  • miticooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Thanks! This works nicely as a backing track.

  • im sorry but you play 30 bars and have a total of 192 bars out that is FUCKING retarded it might be blues but that doesn't mean you can relax for most of it... i basicallly made a cup of teas is that 48 x4 bars rest.... i supposed playing this at shows give the audience time to have a toilet break and get a pint of beer formthe bar before ou have to play again...

  • @Mr00luke00 there is something called improvisation and that is what you are supposed to do when you don't have notes in front of you.

  • any way i can get a copy of this

  • Any way I can get a copy of this, It ROX

  • This has helped me allot with my soloing on guitar.

  • This has helped me allot with my soloing on guitar

  • the drums failed trying to swing

  • i like the written tempo.. QUarter note = 250.... haha!

  • do you think you can post a pdf of the entire arrangement, in the concert tuning? This sounds like a fun one to play with my jazz band, I like that sax melody, but I would add maybe a pit of trumets at a mf whole-noting the chords, while the sax play at a f. A piano would be awesome at this tune, I just wanted the pdf to use as a sort of springboard for writing a head, and then using the melodies you have already, I like your style of composing. =)

  • this is really fun to play with electric guitar... soloing with guitar on a jazzy backing track is fun..

  • thanks a lot...

great thing for improvisation and to practice "tenor madness" by sonny rollins =D.....

  • lol this is a great simple walking blues, Im giving my harmonicas a spin here, thanks!

  • thought had my horn in front of me... let me get it and try it out.

  • this is amazing , how can i download it or get the sheet music

  • i'm gonna be giong bom bom bom bom in my head all day now. This tune's too damn catchy.

  • im likin this... its helpin me alot with my tenor improve (just picked it up today) i been on alto for 6 years lol

  • listen CRAZY FUNKY by Minicillo

  • hahah its missing the key signature!! (Bb and Eb)

  • its not uncommon to see a non-modal piece written without a key signature. I have a book of transcribed solos and not one of them (including one over a Bb blues) has a key signature.

  • @CyberK007 yeah, the key is just assumed on a blues, or any other common jazz progs, like a ii-V-i

  • @tankbrute6

no its not missing because it's for B flat instrument.

  • I;m lovin this. This really helps with my rhythms, and improv .Alto sax

  • C blues for trumpet! :) C Eb F F# G Bb C <- Notes that sound best with this.

  • @tylerwscott D: Bb blues scale! I would have never guessed...

  • thanks alot

  • Very nice. Excellent.

  • its a good sng you have e fat and a b flat i play the tenor sax its fun but we dnt play any good songs

  • Play everything a 6th (C becomes A, D becomes B, E becomes C#) , just to punish yourself and make your life miserable.

  • cool!!

  • nice composition,it is very helpful..thank you..:)

  • That was really good (=

  • this song kind of sounds like "Beluga Blues"song

  • Thanks so much for this, it was great for improvising on my trumpet.

  • this is very helpful, thank you.

  • Nice playalong, I used it for improvisation with my new guitar without looking at the notes - I don't know a thing about scales but I had lots of fun experimenting, trying to "feel" the blues scale. Great for jamming too, even if it's not the real intention.

  • alto is in Eb so thats probly whit is sounds weird how do i transpose this?

  • Play everything a fifth above, so a C becomes a G, a C# becones a G# and so on

  • @Kebabzruz Pretty sure Eb instrument should transpose a fourth. Bb -> Eb, C -> F, etc

  • @Kebabzruz For Eb instruments, you transpose a minor third down (three half-steps). Bb blues for alto would be G blues. Bb blues for tenor and trumpet would be C (one whole step up.)

  • or give it to yuor Jazz Band and just Solo lol...

  • @D2TBinc Try improv! this is a repeated 12 bar blues, chord changes are Bb7, Eb7, and a D7 Im pretty sure...... just play around those, playing whats written is laaaammme

  • @D2TBinc @Kebabzruz Pretty sure Eb instrument should transpose a fourth. Bb -> Eb, C -> F, etc

  • @D2TBinc ....lol you play the lydian of g..and flat the fourth hhhaha.. i mean..what else do you want to hear bro...use your ear ..

  • and sorry i did not read the note about the video

  • Yeah i thought so, sitting here with my guitar transposing it for a C instrument. Nevertheless it is good to play along with. Thanks for clarifying.

  • Sry, but what instrument is this written for?

  • Any instrument in Bb - Trumpet, Tenor / Soprano Sax, Clarinet etc, although instruments in other keys can use it. I believe that it is a Bb blues for instruments in C, and a G blues for instruments in Eb. Please correct me if i am wrong though

  • @Kebabzruz Can meh the first chair tuba man play it but i think tuba's are inC are they?

  • @tHEXxMiStAbROWNxX If the tuba is in C, play everything a tone down, using the Bb blues scale for solos. If its in Bb, play as written

  • @Kebabzruz so play it an octave lowerr ? nd you should add meh !

  • @Kebabzruz this is a C major blues for Bb instruments ;)

  • i will always need something like this

  • is it possible to mix with sibelius?

  • There is an inbuilt mixer with sibelius that allows you to change the volume levels of the various instruments, but you can't introduce new sounds for the instruments themselves.

  • but are the instruments in the programm good and pure?

  • not particularly, but i think you might be able to buy better sounds as an add onn

  • When you say you can't introduce new sounds for the instruments themselves, forgive me if I've misunderstood you, but you can.... you can change the clarinet to sound like a trumpet, for example...

  • uhm yeah retarded kid, theyre in the same key..

  • nice
