  • certain fruits probably arent too good...like youre only suppose to have 2-3 bananas a week....and if you ate 40 oranges youd be on the toilet quite a bit....you can lose a lot from that....

  • YOu go girl! HAHA im glad she is gone from that gym!

  • I think your making this up. the way you talking about it. I think your twisting her words.

  • no way those were her EXACT words. And guess what I have not seen her working at the gym anymore!!!!

  • Nutritionist are the most confused people on the planet. Remember Atkins. He completely changed the world from high carb dieting to low carb dieting. That is the Opposite of what we were taught before. We put a man on the moon, but what should we eat? Noone has a clue.

  • @1966cristy well high carb is good for gaining muscle, low carb is good for losing fat

  • That "certified personal trainer" is a

    certified dumbass

  • i am a very private person, so these things would annoy me alot if wrong info is givin to me also messing around my exercise machine. maybe she was trying to give tips what works best for her but not for you. anyways, fruits are better then cookies and cakes. if you need something sweet grab a piece of friut. it is true about the sugar levels, and i do understand; but it's not as bad as pies and soft drinks. so eat your friut =)

  • She didn't give you complete explanation. If you want a full explanation of what she said just message me. Its a lot to type but she is right on those things. Under 1000 calories triggers starve mode. Not 1200. low carb works well because of low sugar.Low carb fruit is better for weightloss than high sugar. Sugar causes uneven blood sugar (makes burning fat hard because it shuts it off over 200 cals consumed)and cravings.

  • Wow....you are such a nice person. The treadmill thing was annoying all by itself. But giving jacked up advice like that is scarey. Someone else could be hurt by what she's doing/saying.

  • That personal trainer needs to check her own information lol I had a personal trainer and I was never told that LOL... and she should have a complaint against her for lying about calories....we need at least 1200 calories a day if not more to live. I think your doing GREAT by the way and are looking terrific! :)

  • I agree - the gym needs told about her ! Thankfully you are wise enough to not take her advice, but others may not be as wise as you.... and she can harm them with this type of advice/information.

  • This personal trainer is talking about methods used to rapidly lose weight and build up lean muscle. Never take the words of personal trainers about nutrition. That should all be left to a nutritionist.

  • "HUGE SCARE AT THE GYM!" vid on here talks about why messing with ym machine settings could endanger your life too. That PT should be written-up. PT sould not change settings or even advise you about settings or your diet until they do fitness tests on you and get a Doctor to sign off for you to work with them AND YOUR GYM COULD BE SUED FOR LIABILITY if you got hurt or ill advised without that sign off. DEFINITELY CONTACT MANAGEMENT

  • I think I would have to have a word with her manager, as she could be causing problems for many other people. Take care Sharon...

  • so glad you are not listening to that broad!

  • Ha, that just proves my point that the only person you should listen to about what you do with your body and what you put into it is yourself. Nobody cares more than you.

Oranges are good for you and we all know it. I eat lots of fruit, about 400 to 500 calories a day. I have lost 86 pounds.

Could you ask management to have that person stay away from you? I would.

  • oranges, yum! the trainer doesn't know what she's missing!

  • Personal trainers aren't required to take any classes in nutrition...ha!

  • There was once a trainer in my gym who told me to eat only 200-300 calories per day and I will lose all my access weight in less than one month. And this was 9 years ago, when I was only 16. A personal trainer should not tell such bull*** to a vulnerable young girl. Thank god I was always sane in my mind and didn't follow his suggestions.

  • Don't eat fruit and eat 1000c a day??? No. I never listen to personal trainers anymore since I gained weight and bulk working out with one, then caught him smoking outside.

  • OMG what gym do you go to? This trainer sounds crazy! lol

  • that is what i want to know, because i don't want to go to that gym.

  • Hmmm, weird how I'm eating lots of fruits and losing weight for it, LOL!

  • mm i want oranges now haha

wait wtf, DONT EAT FRUIT?! what the CRAP?!!?

this is retarded! i heard girls in my old HS who said not to eat fruit because it has sugars or some crap, like wtf? Getting crap with "no sugar" (aspartarme or whatever it's called, fake sugar, splenda, is like eating poison so...what the crap, sugar is okay for you!) Fruit is so good for you and so healthy, Im so glad youre not phased by that bitch.

  • that trainer sounds really pushy!

  • That woman is nuts. The next time you see her you should mention that an average orange is about 85 calories, contains 4g Fiber and 2g Protein and only 17g sugar which is natural sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup. Sheesh - besides oranges have 160%, on average, of your needed Vitamin C intake and the one thing that happens when people start changing the way they eat is that certain nutrients/vitamins get left out in the beginning. I just get all riled up at this sort of thing. LOl

  • Um, seriourlly that is messed up. Eat fruit, I don't care what that trainer says...thats wrong. And the eat 5 meals a day is kinda true. I was told to eat 5-6 small meals a day. I didn't do that cause I gain but that is what they said to do.

  • wow she doesnt know what shes talking about .atleast you do =)

  • uhhh it's full of vitamin C and we don't actually store that. We have to take some in daily. She IS WACK! Personal trainers get a "God" complex sometimes because people always ask them questions and tend to look up to them because they think personal trainers know everything. They don't.
