well for my opinion guid wars you will like it is the best rpg ever and you have a lot movie, and the story is amazing, cool armor,but its really hard so its a game you play for 3 years + 4 expansion and gw 2 will come out don't miss it ;) well . . . its your choice ^^ good luck you will not regret that

The first one, prophecies, is definately the best of the series.

Nightfall is the worst, in my opinion, too much desert and shit.

Factions is way too dark, but it has alliance battles where the two factions, Kurzick and Luxon can find against each other.

And Prophecies is just superb.

The campaigns can be done fairly quick though, which sucks.

When you've completed a campaign or more, you should go buy Eye of the North, which requires one of the three games.

idk maybe i haven't played it for long. i just got off the boat onto main island lol. but seeing as how already i need help with friends i would say it's harder. NF i could go through most of the game by myself and there was no problem. and it's not cuz i have good heroes cuz i used pretty much the same build for my heroes since the beginning. the only hard mish is like the 2nd to last one in NF. but w/e opinion is opinion.

Well pvp is pretty much the same in all of them, but with Factions you get 2 new professions-Assassin and Ritualist, while in Nightfall you get 2 more professions, Dervish and Paragon. Prophecies is in a classical fantasy setting, medieval Europe type world. Factions is Chinese themed, while Nightfall is African themed. Nightfall is also the newest, so more people play that. If you don't mind where the setting is, get Nightfall, it is newer and has more features.

Yeah you can just buy Nightfall. Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall are all separate campaigns and you do not need the other ones to be able to play one. Eye of the North is the only expansion requiring you to own one of the other games.

Lets just put it out there. Sure WoW is awesome, its a fact great idea great game. But it's a waste of money over a long period of time, when you hit 70/80 now there isn't that much to do. Guild wars just allows you to do so much more and really when you get max level your not even 1/10th the way into the game.
