5 seperates the fans like wow. I am always changing my personal faves on the guy all the time. One thing stays constant. Glenn. If he has a shot at it, then it's gold. In the liner jacket of the Black Aria record he has a quote. He should have that quote on all of his music. None of it is rock. Rock couldn't be so deep if you left on the bottom of the atlantic. G UP!!!!!!!

Danzig 5 fucking rules! and CRIMSONGHOST 1308 is right, there are tons of tracks on that cd that are amazing. I just can not figure out why he decided not to put Warlok on it, that's even better than this song, and this is an amazing song.

Danzig 5 is kinda like Ministry's Filth Pig, and somewhat similar to W.A.S.P.'s Kill, Fuck, Die.  really idustrial. But this album reminds me of Samhain in a lot of ways in that it is so oriented towards the beats, not so much the guitar riffs.

I picked up this album when it first came out, at first i didnt like it.. took awhile to get in to it.. Kinda the same wayi felt about Black Aria.. Glenn has talent, and a cool take on music.

This has a prophetic quality about it.The whole album.Danzig IV,too.The more you research the secret societies,the more I see a lot shine through in music like this.I was a fan for a while,but I never really got some of the things he's been talking about.I hated this album when it came out,but appreciate it more now.This guy is very cryptic in his writing at times,but if its all spelled out,then its just pop anyway.Some real content on Danzig albums.See also:"I don't mind the pain".

Blackaciddevil was an inspiring album. It enabled the artist in me to get creative and draw. Especially with this song, I was in a zone. Ashes was my favorite song off the album that I put it on repeat every day for a few months. It never gets old!

I remember the first time I heard this song. It was late night, somewhere in Michigan in winter and it began to snow very heavily. I had just lost my wife and I was already in a pretty dark place, after hearing this song, I remember saying, this is my song to the people of this world, and how much I truly loathe them.

This wouldn't be too bad an album if it were Danzig's debut. But after the Misfits, Samhain, and 1 - 4, it's like a bucket of cold water being splashed in your face that freezes your eyeballs, and your eyeballs freeze so bad that they explode.

I remember when I first got this album, I put this song on repeat and let it play for 10 hours at a time. even now it's hard to let myself not replay it. It reminds me of nights a long time when I would take long walks down dark roads through big patches of woods. I'll never forget those nights or how this song makes me feel.

I do respect the attempt to go in a different different direction (i.e. Misfits --> Samhain --> Danzig).., but I think Danzig5 was a "wrong-turn".

I Lucerfi is when / where I came back (w/o having ever left the old albums behind)!

Ashes is one of Danzig's greatest songs and shows the depth in his songs, music and his own personal character. i dont think i'll ever be tired of this song, and for all those danzig fans out there who are just devoting themselves to danzig 1 and 2 etc. Give it some time, for in time you will understand the allegorical power of Danzig 5.

Danzig 5 has gotten a lot of criticism, whitch it dident diserve. I dont belive Danzig tried to remake 1 or 3 or 4 when he made Danzig 5. Danzig 5 is a great album whitch is to be used in different purposes than 1,2,3 and 4, Imao.

Glen Danzig could do no wrong then come blackacidesapointment an album with no music but noise. Here danzig decided that instead of being a leader to become a NIN follower. Apparently his voice was shot and decided to hide it using harmonizers, what a shame. I still love his old stuff like the misfits albums, samhaim and Danzig (I..IV)
