  • good tutorial :)

  • What if you want to put a picture in another background? What woud u do?

  • hey i did exactly what u said but when i try to add a new background it doesnt work it jus puts the new background in a smaller verision beside it but it never layers it... the transparent background stays at a white background too.. why is that?

  • @KaiserVadin Huh??

  • @Blake81 its a joke people do on youtube about the dislikes

  • @Blake81 It's some really bad dislike joke, oh wait all dislike jokes are bad.

  • @Blake81 can thesse be used as sprays on games like valve games?

  • @KaiserVadin that has to be one of the dumbest comment's i've ever read.

  • oh my god thank you thank you!

  • changing the flood mode to global make the process go faster...

  • Yes but now if you put that flower onto a dark background, basically black it would have tiny light dots around the edges that would show up.

  • Thank youuuu !!!

  • Thank you for the tutorial.

  • Thanks for the upload. Pretty easy :D

  • omg omg omg omg thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • didnt seem to work for me (trying to do this to make a watermark in viseo. But even when i save as PNG there is a white background.....anyone know why?

  • @benmcdevitt make the png 32-bit

  • In this example I was wondering, the object your trying to isolate is fairly uniform in color in shape. Wouldn't it be simpler to select it with the magic wand, Invert the selection, then delete the background?

  • Fantastic, thank you soo much!

  • plz make a video how to add backround

  • Thanks for posting this. Paint.net is a great free program, but their tutorials aren't a big help. You helped me do exactly what I wanted to do!

  • Can't thank you enough for this!

  • you are a good teacher!

  • Thanks man, saved me from a headache.

  • I'm talkin about how to remove the background so can't see the white stuff behind. Nothing else but letters please replay this comment on how to.

  • Thanks you!!! I was trying and failing for hours, and this totally worked. Keep it up!

  • Good video, clear, concise and easy to follow, nice one.

  • SPEAK UP OMG!

    useless and almost soundless vid

  • thank you!

  • I'm trying to make a background, and I was wondering, how do you get the checkered background off? I'm putting an image on top of a different one, and the checkered stuff is there. How do I remove it?

  • Thank you so much. You have helped me realise how good Paint.net is..

Look at photoshop and its got a lot of stuff that people would need and stuff they wouldnt. This has stuff that people need, and its free.

  • Thank you very much, I was completely lost before this video

  • Very useful, thanks!

  • thanks blake

  • THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH WHAT A NICE PERSON THAAAAAAANKS

  • omg i did everything but when i delete it turns into some soild color

  • thanks man ! two thumbs up. really helped me

  • thanks so much

  • Bingo!!..Thanks a ton!!....helped me just when I was badly in need of editing some pics...really appreciate!!

  • awsome tutorial, totally subscribing

  • nice video! great job!

  • I think you could do it much quicker by selecting the flower instead.

Then just cut and copy it to any other image...

  • You gave so much helpful information! Thanks so very much for that!

  • I did figure out how to do what you did in the video, but I still cant do it in a perfect way.I think it may be easier to do a flower, than jewelry.I cant get close enough to the jewelry piece without taking some of it off, or not being precise. If I could do it, It would still take me a long, long time, and I have a hundred pieces of jewelry. there has got to be a easier way.

  • Gracias!

  • Thanks! Great tutorial.

  • thx dude it helped me very much

  • I really like the way you do it but I would be also easy to open the Windows Paint Program and draw

  • lol YOU are the best

the toyangqren video didnt work properly :/

  • Great, Blake!!! Thank you!

  • awesome, it was most useful. Finally someone that can explain this matter well!

  • extremely helpful, thanks man.

  • DIV pro

  • When you save as PNG, how would set the parameters like "bit depth" -- dithering and threshold?

  • You mean what settings to use? I've just been letting the settings at their defaults.

  • @Blake81 i wana use it as a spray so were do i got to save it bmp or png

  • @xraymond10 use 32bit

  • absolute GREAT VIDEO i took some of the ideas expressed here and found it very hard to cut out the people in the pic but used the eraser method not as clean cut but is awesome thanks

  • you were GREAT! ALSO, I finally learned how to save with PNG....I'm always getting that white background using other paint programs. Never saw PNG. Great job, I subscribed to your Blake81 !!

  • PNG is a good format because of the transparency, and it's also a lossless format, so you don't get any distortion, like you can with GIF.

  • Thanks again there B81.

  • thanks a lot .. .

  • thanks for video

  • Thank you Dude,This is friggin sweet!

It helped us with our website, for that i'm subbing!

    Tommy :D

  • Thank you so much!!!

  • i have this prob.. i have sprites from doom but, i have all that pink stuff.. and i want all the pink pixels removed.. and i have alot of those pixel sheets.. and there are ALOT of pixels that are not connected too eichother.. what i wanna do is select ALL Pink pixels and hit delete so they are fast removed.. can you do that with this program.. (its like deleting the pink background)

  • Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to do that.

  • @cybercobra2 use the magic wand and set the tolerance really low but change the flood mode to global

  • you are officially a legend!

  • Its free and its quite like photoshop!

I say its better than photoshop....

  • How do i keep default pixels?

For example if i inserted a layer that was bigger than 728 x 90 how could i make it stay that size when i put that layer in?

    I'm confused.

  • I think it will always make the canvas size be the size of the largest layer.

  • Thanks, this was really helpful, some tutorials assume a lot of prior knowledge, I was totally unaware of changing the file format, it's obvious now !

  • You can also hold down the ctrl key when you're using the magic wand or set it to "add/union" and select more of the background at a time.

    Great tutorial, though!

    :o)

  • Thank you man x

  • Thank you times...at least a million or two

  • It doesn't work for me... I'm trying to make a forum and I'm trying to take the background out of a picture for the index link but all it does is make little lines move around the picture?

  • It's making lines that move? I've never seen that before.

  • It's fine I figured it out now, thanks for the vid though :]

  • Wow, I can't believe how incredibly simple this is. Now I feel like an idiot for not knowing how to do this before. XD

  • thanks man

  • I've spent days trying to experiment to get these results...!

    Thanks, broski...

  • thank u so much for this video it helped me alot

  • i have version 3. this isnt working.

  • Why not just select the flower and then flip over the selection and delete it?

  • which key was it to remove the colors?

  • delete
