  • why the hell do everyone say that this video is retarded? the only possibly fail is the eye thing...and u shouldn't get to mad for that 0.0

  • This was good for newbies and I think he says the truth about how the hand position helps concentrating on certain muscles...

  • If you position the bar above your eyeline, you will hit the uprights or pins on the bench when performing a proper rep. This positon will force you to push the bar up and keep it too far forward and dramatically increase the likelihood for a shoulder injury.

Spotter, safety catches, a proper barbell bench? These are fairly important.

This video is the result of what happens when you learn fitness out of a textbook.

  • What a massive retarded FAGGOT!

  • Being someone who has been going to the gym for years, I've seen it all. I made a video about how people act at gyms, check it out: "A Dozen Gym No-No's"

Apologies to WatchMojo, I'm not trying to steal your thunder I just think its relative to your video!

  • haha id like to touch that girls pectoral majoralis

  • this guy is just hitting puberty..

    listen to his voice!

  • you dont bench press day in and day out you retard

  • hahaha i was thinking that too.

  • what kind of muscles do you train with the bench??

  • chest , shoulders

  • there is no real tips, it depends of your shape, if your big you don't take it the same way... if you wanna know if you're doin the good way, you just need to see if it trains your pecs, if it's training ur shoulders and not your pecs it's because you're doin the bad way... that's it

  • bad grip

  • it can screw your shoulders over if you go down to chest with heavy weights

    but i do it anyways

stop hatin on this video, its good=]

  • only if you dont know how to bench press....example ~ YOU

  • put your eyes above the bar? ill hit the racking things on the way up

  • aha ha my video is better, movie views in less time and first on the list,a ha ha ha

  • the back should be slightly arched to actualy gain anything from the bench press otherwise its just doing you back muscles, and dude get a actual bench

  • just cause ur a personal trainer doesnt mean u need an expensive bar... u could put so much weight on the bar that both of u together could lift it even once lol... good tip about lifting the shoulders... i needed that one...

  • The breathing part is fundamental

  • 1.That's a cheap bar. Don't trust a trainer at a facility that buys cheap bars.

2.A bench press expert and he does'nt have a bench.

3.Line your eyes up with the bar before you unrack? Give that a try and see what happens.

4.You don't know a lift until you've spent many many reps under the bar with some weight on it. This guy has not done that.

  • 1.That's a cheap bar. Never listen to a guy about lifting who uses a cheap bar.

2.Your an expert on benching and you don't even have a bench.

3.Line your eyes up with the bar before you unrack? Give it a try and see what happens.

4.Unless you've personaly performed at least 3000 or 4000 reps in a bench press, you have no business teaching it.

  • Hereeeeeeeee I come to wreck the dayyyyyyyy!

    1) If you've ever had experience on a heavy bench press, you'll know that you need to scoot down, AWAY from the rack.

    2) You should bring the bar all the way down to your lower chest, not "stop so the elbows dont go passed the shoulders".

    3) An arched spine works better than a neutral spine.

  • nice video man thanx

  • Shoulder blades together and thats gonna arch your back a little, just so your hand slides under. That way you are working chest better.

  • great...it works
