I know of a gentleman who drove his Boxster S (06) thru canadian winters with no problems, that same guy just purchased an 2010 911 C4 and plans on driving it as well all year long.
My question is, in Canada cars start developing rust spots in average of 4 years of age if you drive them all year long, because of the salt n calcium on the roads, does that happen to Porsches as well, have you tested it? 95% of Porsche owners put em away for winter here btw.
Hello Cedmilz, I live here in Bavaria, near the Alps, our Winter isn't as hard as your winter in Canada, but they use salt n calcium here too, and not too less. I drove through the winter with Porsche 911 4S the last 6 years, this year it will be my 2010 911 GT3. The most Porsche owners don*t drive their cars through the winter because they don`t know that they miss a opportunity for a lot of fun. The autobody is zinc coated, just take a look for the paint of the car, because of surface rust.
Like really good quality cars for example my 03 Lincoln LS has no rust problems. I know for a fact that Porshes are better than Lincolns... my lincoln doesnt handle this well, if your way up north you might as well buy a powerful Subaru
Wow! I fall in love with this track <3

Good stuff but are Porsches built to endure the salty roads of Northeast North American winters?
I dont want my Porsche rusting after 5 years.
