  • If you gave a "moose" a cookie?

  • it looks like a Huge Mouse

  • I wish to catch this thing... it would make one hell of a drinking partner(Jesus that's going to be a bill) and staggering steed. Lol jk

  • It's probably not a good idea to feed them. But I'd be hard-pressed not to do the same. cute as a button.

it is better if they don't trust people, though.

  • My dad's seen moose in the apple orchirds, now a bunch of houses :( , behind our house in Central mass!

  • Only if they have no cash on them.

  • Don't moose charge sometimes?

    wtf???

  • @79Testo not always. they're usually very peaceful animals and only attack when they feel threatened.

  • I hope I'm not the one this moose expects food from when enjoying the outdoors. This is a very bad idea besides being illegal and puts others, who are not protected by a deck, in danger of this animal .

  • if i was that baby i would be releasing stink pickles in my pants

  • Was it a young one?

  • "Hi dere. Uhm... I'm with the Canadian guverment, eh. I'm uhhh... I'm yer food inspector, eh. Oh yah, dat's fine. Yer food's been inspected. Good day, eh. I'll be back for a followup."

  • Holy crap! I've been close to them before, but not THAT close! :O

  • the moose is like 1 apple! thats all u got..dont u see how big i am!

  • mooooose

  • That moose is like Bingo, I found the nice people! Let me remember what house I'm at... LOL...

  • Thumbs up for the nice man who gave a hungry moose a meal.

  • At first i thought it was the moose making those noises then i reliesed its the little baby. Haha, this is such a cute and relaxing video. Thank you for being so nice to this animal and feeding him/her appls in the winter :D

  • what a gentle giant! Almost seems domesticated.

  • What a wonderful wild encounter!!

You are soooo lucky to have moose in the garden!!

  • I can understand simply everyone.

But this also included the Fact that Moose's are MASSIVE ; )

Massive and therefore, able to crush you with Ease ; )

I have nothing against being kind to a cute Herbivore...

... but i will also know my Place and will never approach one.

At last not out of free Will. Never, if possible ; 3

They are WILD Animals and can see Humans as what they are,

    possible Enemy's. Possible Threats.

And they can be more aggressive than Horses ^.^

  • Georgeous ! Awww :)

  • bye bye moosey! - Moose: no, i'ma stay here and eat some more of yer apples eh?

  • One of the most unique animals I have ever seen, what a face! :)

  • Should have mounted it and yelled WAR EAGLE! That would make for a great YouTube Video!!!!

  • I honestly wouldn't pass up an experience like this. Getting THAT close to a moose, dude I'm feeding it lasagne for all I care it's a facking MOOSE!!! <3 <3

  • wow hes really docile for a moose.

  • are you feeding it cookies?

    thats the cutest thing ever

  • Cute!

  • omg thats brilliant, did you know there is a domestic moose farm in russia? they are incredible animals, thankyoufor this video!

  • I would love to live in a place where wild animals can wander around my home. I have birds and spiders in my backyard, but I don't like spiders, and the birds kinda ignore me. I would be very happy if a moose showed up, but I don't think that is possible. There are no mooses where I live.

  • i hope you dont feed it every day. that would get expensive. lol

  • I dont get why people rate this thumbs down? do they hate their lives that much.

  • Great! Lovely soft nose on her.... :)

  • I hear your dogs are going berserk...

  • You guys really have a kind heart

  • XD reminds me of the child's book "If You Give a Moose a Muffin"

  • What a beautiful being. So gentle, so majestic. Thank you for sharing this magical moment.

  • I had a female moose galloping down my road today..... It was around 5:50 in the morning coming back from breakfast. lol i think it might of been bullwinkles wife lol JK..

  • That moose will most likely hang around their yard for the rest of its life.

  • @Motoroil2 ya then thayll have a masscot fot hoky seson or football whatever your into lol

  • eagle river? hello from alaska too! and I am a moose!!!!

  • Aww, so cute ! <3 I feed one moose too!

  • kill ur dog!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tough winter... Looks like you could use a little nourishment... I have a friend in Northern BC who actually plants crops JUST for the moose and other wild life who get hungry... Seen 24 moose one morning feeding...

    Good on yah...

    Cheers

  • Niiiice moose.... munching away on the cookies...

I want to stroke her nice soft nose... :)

  • I loved this video!

  • its so cute. I know I cant, but I wish I could hug one.

  • That is so sweet, but i would have to agree not to feed them. They will be endanger of getting killed faster because they will not be scared of human. I am a hunter myself and a single mom, and definitely adore the animal, but you can be placing them in danger. I don't hunt for sport but to supply my family a good source of nutritious foods for my table that is not contaminated with antibiotics or spoiled meat. That is how i think alot of people are getting sick, ex. mad cow disease.

  • @honeyd35 you should be ashamed killing moose :/

  • cool, but it's not good to feed them, this can lead to demanding attacks against nice people trying to feed them too, it'll eventually happen and that moose will be put down. never a good thing to feed wild animals.

  • feeding of wildlife is illegal and can be fined. Look up AKDFG and you will see the fines.

  • wow thats amazing i cant believe you guys were hand feeding the moose!

  • I almost hit a moose with a boat once. Sketchiest moment ever.

  • holy shit that would be fuckin creepy!!!!!

  • It is so Friendly :-)

Yesterday There was one in my yard too. Which was weird because usally they dont come this late in the year.

  • love this! they are so majestic :) i only saw a moose once in my life i was camping with my school at algonquin park here in ontario we went kayaking and heard the calls of the moose! the it appeared in the distance! very beautiful to see that :)

  • Someone said feeding a hungry wild animal causes cancer. Yeah, and a hungry wild animal with no food causes their death. Not that is moose looks starving. I just worry that he'll be friendly with the wrong people.

After seeing the moose in the house, laying down on command, my whole concept of a moose is altered.

Darling video, would have loved to experienced it.

I was a little nervous with the baby out front.

  • haha~ Cute, kinda like a big horse

  • I hear wolves try to bite the moose on the nose when hunting them. Supposedly it temporarily paralyses them when their nose is injured by a wolf bite.

  • no, it's that they only breath through their nose, so when the wolf bites it's nose, it can't breath and eventually suffocates, kinda like how lions kill buffalo in africa.

  • Yeah, a swamp donkey

  • From the deck view, it looks like a donkey. Weird.

  • adorable!

  • omg way adorable!!! seems you guys have a friend now :)

  • I had one attack my dog and me much the same size you never know what they are going to do never trust a moose !!

  • haha :D cute moose :]

  • Thank goodness they fed it something. Of course you should feed a hungry animal. It did no harm to feed a hungry moose. Why shouldn't people be compassionate and feed something that is hungry in the winter? Don't you people have hearts? Yeah, write to me with a million scenarios of how something could have gone wrong, but fact is it didn't. U can live your life by "what ifs" and give excuses all u want 4 not being kind. Those with hearts will take risks & be kind to those in need.

  • Don't you know? Feeding a hungry wild animal causes cancer. ;)

  • @azgirl777 When they feed it something, it allows the moose to be less self reliant, and expect people to feed it more often. This allows for the entrance of more moose into the humans environment, causing more dangerous confrontations between moose and cars, children, domesticated animals, property and humans. Yes this moose does seem mild, but a bull with a full rack and an angry temper would not think twice before making a man a flying sack of meat. Don't feed wild animals. Period.

  • I agree. Just the other day there was a cat laying in my driveway looking at my window; he clearly smelled food. So I saw he had a collar and assumed someone owned him but forgot him. He was very hungry so I gave him a serving of cat food and water. He never came back after that but once in a while I see him around the street. He was just hungry. I have 2 other cats but im sure he was more focused on food than the other cats. Have a heart. We populate all territories as humans, at least share.

  • @azgirl777 You dont feed wild animals because they lose fear of humans and eventually will put themselves in danger and humans as well. Its not a what if its a WILL HAPPEN. Why do you think that the forest service says this? BECAUSE its dangerous. This moose isnt starving its getting a free meal. It needs to go do what its mother taught it and go find its own food.

  • @azgirl777 Yeah I knoooww....they say don't feed foxes/coyotes because they'll "lose their fear of humans" which is totally true but maybe that's not such a bad thing? Interaction between humans and animals is good, healthy even...could teach kids to respect nature, if you choose not to then don't cry when the deer nips you. That's how my mom "trained" me LOL! If you don't do it right the first time, then suffer the consequences. To me that's the best way to learn :P

  • @azgirl777 Moose have been living for hundreds and thousands of years, they evolved so to take care of themselves as we all have, and all the other little animals in the animal kingdom. So feeding a damn moose is a great idea until you drive down your road, it jumps out from a ditch and you hit one. Ever hit a moose in a vehicle? No. Probably not. Ever hit a deer? No probably not. I am from Canada, i see people hit moose every year and die, so domesticating an animal so big, is a bag idea!Thanx

  • @thinker58 you so right there is nothing worse than running into 1000 plus aminal with your car or get attacked by one because someone taught it not to be afraid of us. People need learn large wild animals need our respect not charity . Mooses are dangerous when rutting or they have calves it's best not to have them around at all.

  • @FIREDOGG999 its just 'Moose' not mooses haha

Needless to say there is a town near where i live that these retarded people are putting a bi law out to be able to feed them. i think these people should get the fuck out of there houses sometime! take a drive down the road and BAM you hit one. now you get out and your like oh my god, i hit the deer ive been feeding. i bet if i didnt feed him this wouldnt have happened.Enjoy feeding the moose now, but when they trample you to death, your stupid

  • @azgirl777 The moose will be back the next winter , and the next , and the next , and other animals will come , and predators will look for moose in the area . Feed it once , yes , but you must make sure that the moose understands that this is not her only food source .

  • @azgirl777 The main problems with feeding wild animals is that they become too accustomed to humans and associate them with food, this can lead them to approach other random humans who may not be as kind or wish the animal harm (such as poachers). It also brings them closer to where people live which can be a hazard for both humans and the animal.

  • @f6g7h8h First off, there's nothign wrong with doing it once like this. Secondly, you just replied to a 3 years old comment.

  • dude dont feed em i dont want mad moose here o and yes i live in eagle river too .

  • these moose r so crazy!...watchin videos people touching the moose...thats suicide in my home town

  • Def. against the law.

  • Loved the video. Absolutely Alaskan. Excellent.

  • Great video, although probably not too adviseable to feed the moose. Even a little baby moose like that will tear you up in a second! As for all the "granola" and "non-alaskan" responses......don't worry about it. Unless your a fugitive felon on the run, this place really isn't for most of us :)

  • Awesome, wish I could see moose in my yard like that and pet their noses.

  • fricking stupid... I shoot moose dont I? My buddie raiesd them so when the moose heard a diesil motor the moose came running...yumm!

  • don't feed the Moose you idiots

  • It's very dangerous, especially for others who won't be expecting a Moose to expect food from them. This kind of human interaction with wild unpredictable animals only makes it more unsafe for others in our great state of Alaska....Thank you very much alaskanpilotsdotcom, but Cosmoline's logic is more valueable than "go home you...non alaskan you..."

  • I just tore into someone who takes playing with big, dumb, wild animals to a whole new level. He walked up to a sleeping moose on his lawn to snap pictures and then stayed to pet and feed it. At least these people are at a door with a railing between them and it, but I still wouldn't have fed it.

  • That's the moose that got at by the BEAR !!!!!

  • Nice moose! :-)

  • Cosmoline is just jealous. and probably from california where there are way to many laws, and should go back soon to keep Alaska a nice place to live for the rest of us.

  • That's actually illegal in this state, and not a terribly good idea. It's all fun till your kid is old enough to go to the bus and gets kicked by the same moose.

  • yes lets all wrap ourselves in bubble wrap and fear everything all the time. dickhead.

  • Two things that should never be approached in the wild no matter how friendly they seem. Bears and Moose!

I 'play' with wild snapping turtles bigger that garbage can lids and I won't approach a 'tame' moose without a professional saying it's alright!

  • Dont get me wrong man, i sure as hell wouldnt be effin with something that was wild and could clearly stomp me.

However i wouldnt get in somebody elses shit if they wanted to. Somebody has to call the ambulance!

  • @blastingcaps, LMFAO great comment
