  • Great show but they did have problem with scale! lol. One minute they would be about an inch high crawling under a door, the next they would be about six inches high standing next to a phone!

  • "Land of the Giants" was one of my favourite shows as a child and it still is today. Shame they don't make wonderful tv shows like they did in the '50s & '60s.

@chevyss67222 Uh huh. You love Stefan Arngrim and you have sooooooooo much to say about him that's all good.

Sure he is ... a sicko who for years physically and sexually molested his sister Alison (Nellie from "Little House On The Prairie.") To this day he has not denied those accusations nor showed any remorse for his disgusting actions.

  • Yeah, fantastic.....great memories. Really miss em!

  • A great show. And who can forget Miss D Lund. What a lovely person.

  • i grew up seein land of the giants i luv stefan arngrim as barry he was 4 yrs older than me and he is to me so so sososo much to say about him and there all good.

  • When the series began, I didn’t much like the giants; the way they moved looked too artificial. I liked it better when they moved more naturally. But, then, they turned into oversized Earthlings with names like Martin and Biff. Alan Hale even played a giant Irishman!

  • Kick ass French Horns!

  • loved all the show's back then, when i was a kid,and collecting all the card's.............

  • he went by johnny williams back then

  • this was my favorite next to lost in space and time tunnel i grew up with this and i loved the theme to it...

  • @chevyss67222 How cool were those shows! My favs too.

  • I loved Land of the Giants....

  • @ FreddieSausage - Would it kill YOU to get the name right? It was Harry Mancini. Geeeeeeeez

  • Bring it back please

  • This theme remember my childhood. Good time.

  • Thanks for posting that. I haven't seen that show since it first came out in primetime. I actually still have my LOTG lunch box, heheh.

I often think the many, many tv channels out on cable now has disconnected kids who had something in common when we grew up in the sixties and seventies., who didn't go to school and tell all their pals that charlie brown's halloween was on tonight etc.? Now, it seems unlikely that three kids in the same room even watched the same show the night before.

  • Blimey, I remember this series so well from my childhood. Remember the sweetie cards to collect?

  • The kurt kasner role = johnaton harris (Dr. Smith) role.

  • @TheJackiemickie Also like Lost in Space it had a redhead woman although Younger than Mrs. Robinson, and blonde woman similar to Judy and boy genius similar to Will but no girl like Penny and no one like robot.

  • Thank you Irwin Allen for such great memorable TV shows I watched as a kid after school. Lost in Space, Voyage, LOTG and Time Tunnel. Now I am an adult and guess what,...yup,..I still watch them thanks to DVD. Fancy being a kid growing uo nowadays with fuck all to watch on the TV. The 60's and 70's really did have more entertaining memorable Kids shows back then. Sci-Fi, Westerns, Secret Agent shows like The Man from U.N.C.L.E, and Hanna Barbera cartoons all with great memorable theme tunes.

  • @Nunsweepit421

80-90's had way better cartoons / shows in my opinion.

  • nice forever.

  • i remember watching this when it was when it was on channel 4 in the uk in the early 90s great memories

  • Who is the guy standing next to the letters

  • @salbonilla1 The guy standing next to the letters is one of the giants there should be little people shown in the scene who appear very small I think they were cut out when they made this video.

  • que buenas series !!

Thxs for upload this material, thxs a loot

  • Yawn. Pretty boring

  • Les recomiendo este vídeo: REVELACION NO EXISTE LA MUERTE

  • Makes me think of the Lost In Space season 3 theme...

  • Cool theme

  • The network axed Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea in favor of Land of the Giants. Not a good trade-off, in my book. . .!

  • outstanding theme ..was sad to see the show go off

  • I remember watching these shows when I was a youngster back in the 60's. Amazin.

  • The great theme sounds similar to another terrific Irwin Allen program; The Time Tunnel.

  • i remeber hearing this song from the kitchen and running like a mad boy to the living room>>>>>>hahahahahaha

  • This show used to frighten me when I was just a kid. But I loved it!!

  • Geez...would it kill you to mention the name of the composer?

Not even in the Tags !

    JOHN WILLIAMS.

  • @FreddieSausage John Williams gets mentioned more than enough.

  • @Berus7777 You've totally missed the point !

The ONE place where it should be mentioned is in the title, comment box and tag-list of the video.

Rather strange that someone would wish to share a piece of music and not mention the bloody composer !

I was addressing my comment to rathouse2008.

  • @FreddieSausage not a good time to quit smoking??

  • @colbour I think I've calmed down now....

  • Great show

  • The magic of John Williams

  • This used to come in American Life TV, but from what I understand, is no longer on there.

  • SUPER MUSIC......AMAZING INTRO....... THE BEST !

  • Feel the brass!

  • Starring Shaquille O Neal,, Ted Cassidy, & Richard Kiel !!!!......HAHAHAHAHA ....i cant, help it, but they were all great guys (:-D)

  • One of my earliest dreams that I can remember is related to Land of the Giants.

  • I have them all on DVD... best show ever!!!......

FACT.... this show broke all records back then, it cost 1million per episode to make.... which was unheard of in those days....!!!!

    Irwin Allen is a genius!

  • I used to watch this from behind the sofa when I was a kid, scared the crap out of me but I loved it all the same! I feel sorry for today's kids they just don't have great stuff like this anymore!

  • I used to watch this from behind the sofa when I was a kid! Scared the crap out of me but loved it all the same! I feel sorry for the kids today, they just don't get great stuff like this anymore!

  • The music score is written by John Williams! So is the one from Lost in Space, the series! No wonder it's such a great music! That's the man that later wrote music for such classics as Indiana Jones, Star Wars and ET...

  • even the theme songs back then were better than most of the scripts coming from the garbage on t.v. today

  • I use to watch this when they first showed it. Those were the F days! My favorite book was TV Guide Fall Preview. For thoses that want to know the TV lineup back then, there's a book called The Only Complete Guide To TV 70, you might find on ebay. It gives a rundown on regulars, and premieres. Also the famed Movie of the Week, and top movie guide of the season. TV will never be the same. The only way to get it back is to buy it on collection dvds. Home video rules, disconnect your cable!

  • @supermandisco I used to read TV Guide from cover to cover when I was a kid. I don't even watch tv anymore, I prefer YouTube videos. Why are there no great classic reruns anymore?

  • @TheBlueyedblond I unplugged my cable and devote my entertainment to PC and home video. I could spend forever rebuilding video collection from Amazon who is extreme in television and movie collections.

  • I used to love this too. I want to see more than just the theme song. :(

  • The Land of the Giants was about space travelers who crash landed on an alternate planet. They were always terrorized by the giants - ho, ho, ho, not the jolly green giant, but evil and relentless giants who made life miserable for the space survivors.

  • @RodneyIsCougerMan Actually, I believe the Spindrift is a subspace craft. It was supposed to be a routine domestic flight.

  • At the end of his life, the deadliest gunfighter of the Old West is given a choice: Hell or redemption. He chooses redemption and God's Archangel transports him to modern day Los Angeles to serve bloody, frontier justice on the worst dregs of society.

  • That's some FANTASTIC brass work in the intro music. Maybe the best intro of any 60s show, and that's saying a lot. . . . .Well, maybe not better than Mission Impossible!

  • I was about , oh I'd say nine when this aired and I kind of remember it. But the theme I never really heard. Thanks for posting.

By the way is there a compilation of John williams' themes for all the shows he wrote music for? The music is often times better than the shows themselves!

  • ...and I guess you asked for permission to put this on YouTube?

  • It's too bad you're not a producer, director, actor, agent, etc. You're merely a Janitor that is still cleaning the tiolets that Irwin Allen took huge dumps in. When are you gonna move up in the world? How much do they pay you to scrub the toilets in Hollywood?

  • @sigzor85 Considerably more than your welfare checks and food stamps bring in.

  • @Owlzindabarn Hollywood is a cold cruel world so they probably haven't treated you with any kind of decency. I pity you. Do you need a handout? How much money do you make over there to clean the thousands of toilets? Do you make enough to buy a Subway sandwich?? I'll tell you what I'll do for you since I'm such a humanitarian. I will get all the readers on Youtube to pitch in some cash for your cause. Then I'll get LA cop Mark Fuhrman to deliver it to you. Ha ha ha ha.

  • @sigzor85 Dear fellow, you ran out of things to say days ago, and yet you keep on talking. When you die, they'll have to soundproof your coffin so that the other stiffs can get some sleep. Why don't you just make your point and move on--or do you even have a point?

  • @Owlzindabarn Because PUNK, I am not gonna let you have the last word. Besides you started this with your name-calling and arrogant know it all attitude so I responded like every good American would. But I'll give the point you so desire. Keep cleaning the toilets and stop pretending you know about how they operate in Hollywood. Remember you only clean toilets and can't possibly know anything else. There you have your point now.

  • @sigzor85 You know, it's ironic--I spent the entire day at Stage 21 at Fox Studios...the exact studio where Land of the Giants was filmed over 40 years ago. Meanwhile, you were sitting in the stable on your high horse, belittling blacks and Jews on youtube. I've seen some of the comments you've posted: you're trash, through and through. You're far, far from a good American--you're everything this country should be ashamed of. Just trash.

  • @Owlzindabarn Dude, you're a hypocrite, because you're not a good American either. You're part of the same hypocrisy cause you souind like a used- car salesman. I'm for real while you're as fake as they come, so don't even try to lecture me about morals, values.or being a good american, You put me down for having my opinion on here and like a typical loser you're making me out now as the "bad guy" here. And as far as the trash goes, I took it out yesterday and you were in it.

  • @Owlzindabarn Oh and you said you spent the whole day at Studio 21 where LOG was filmed, correct? Well don't they also have toilets and portable potties inside the actual studios to clean so you must've been really busy today. LOL..

  • @sigzor85 Actually we spent most of the day prying your mom out of the 'loo with the jaws of life, because she caught her fat ass in the bowl.

  • @sigzor85 Witty!

  • @Owlzindabarn Oh, Thanku. I thought so too.

  • @sigzor85 and @Owlzindabarn You two need to seriously get some help cos you are pathetic.

  • @domparis1978 Does this bickering between the faggot -ass Owizdabarn and I bother you? If so, I got a solution for you, don't look at it and read it. What's pathetic is people like you that need to put your 2 cents in here. So mind your business, BITCH!

  • You see how that proves yiou are a pervert and sick, lonely, fag talking about having sex with pets. That's sick, dude, and who's the poor bastard that really needs therapy. What is it with you and the jews, Did I hit a nerve about my comment about Jews and Hollywood. It's a fair statement, bitch. I think you're a Jew and I'm so sorry you feel so inferior to the rest of us. You need to born again and come back as donkey's ass. LOL.

  • @sigzor85 Dayum! That doberman of yours is just not putting out lately! You need some hot doggie lovin'...and fast!!!

  • @Owlzindabarn The LAPD needs to check you out, because you suffer from mental illness and probably a danger to yourself and others. What am I saying? They probably know you all too well!!!! I can't believe Hollywood hires people like you.

  • @sigzor85 Oh, that's right--they only hire Jews. I forgot who I'm talking to!

  • Oh so now you're connected to Hollywood? You're so full of shit ASSHOLE COCKSUCKER!!!! That's right I say what I want and so did Mel Gibson. And if you don't know that Jews control HOllywood then really who's the ignorant bitch now? And please no more love notes, go take a ride thru Hollywood Blvd. and you'll find plenty of male companionship there.

  • @sigzor85 Um, yeah, I do work in Hollywood. Whatever. So do about 100,000 other people. Big deal. And I still don't know why you're on here, trying to convince people that Irwin Allen got his own shows cancelled because he was Jewish and was trying to deprive the world of his own sci-fi creations. I don't get it. I guess you're just another internet crank who can't hear the sound of his own shit. Hope you don't kiss your mom with that mouth of yours. If she's speaking to you, that is.

  • @Owlzindabarn Well, like a little girl you started the name calling so I'm just giving you a taste of your own medicine. Get out of the kitchen if you can't stand the heat. And where do you come up with that insane idea that I stated he got his shows canceled because he's Jewish? All I'm saying is that the Jews control Hollywood. And that's a fact you can't dispute. As far as why his shows never got finished was such a sucky thing. You would know about sucky. Ha ha ha.

  • @sigzor85 The more you talk, the stupider you sound. I keep needling you in order to make you sound like the biggest buffoon on youtube. Everybody's laughing at you, and your credibility has been shot down to zero. And you're buying right into it!

  • @Owlzindabarn You mean everybody is laughing at you, dickweed. You wouldn't last 10 seconds with me in a real fight, bitch. You asshole, you claim to work at Hollywood. Well what do you do but clean the toilets and suck big cock. You think you got credibility trying to brag you know what goes on in Hollywood. You know what they do? They take asswipes like you and fuck you dry in your ass.

  • @Owlzindabarn And ASSHOLE, who is everybody? It's just you and me here. Nobody else is writing to me but you, you homosexual. You know that's a typical thing to say when you're losing a fight. You want reinforcements to help you out, but nobody wants to help an arrogant prick like you.

  • @sigzor85 It never stops screaming, as it drowns in the mire of its own excrement...

  • @Owlzindabarn You're such a dick! You're the essence and the quintessence of ignorance. Didn't mommy and daddy give you enough attention when you were a kid? Can you be this hard-up for a boyfriend? You west coast people sure are strange.

  • @sigzor85 Ignorance: anti-Semitism, stupid conspiracy theories about "Jews running Hollywood" (whatever), childish gay taunts, endless expletives, general idiocy. You are a worthless human being, and you don't even know it! Ya know, suicide isn't that difficult. Do society a favor today~!

  • @Owlzindabarn Are you getting angry now? I'll tell you what, you pissy little bitch, go get a lolly-pop and suck on that for a minute. Then go to the tallest building in L.A. and jump off. I want to see what you look like after you land. Ha ha ha ha. What's at the bottom of the ocean floor is worth more than your miserable life.

  • @sigzor85 Well. Hmm. If you won't just drop dead, can you at least do us all a favor and go see a specialist? You really are insane, you know. This should be of great concern to you--your mental health. I realize that some insane individuals don't realize their own conditions, but you really have to stop and think about it--because you're on the road to being one of those people who winds up screaming, running down the street, being chased by men in white jumpsuits...

  • @Owlzindabarn Ok so first you were an employee at Hollywood cleaning the toilets that Irwin Allen probably took a dump in and now you're a doctor giving me a diagnosis. You're a funny, but pitiful little insignificant nothing in this world. If you only knew who I was, then you would suck up to me like a quivering little pus. But I'm not stupid to tell people on the internet my business like you have.

  • @Owlzindabarn You trying to pass yourself as an intellectual over here. You need to get over yourself and come back to reality..I am your superior in every way possible and you are inferior waste of humanity if you can even be called human

  • @sigzor85 This? From the guy who writes junk like "'ll tell you what, you pissy little bitch, go get a lolly-pop and suck on that for a minute." Yeah--what a great intellectual you are! Superior intellects cannot proclaim themselves as such when they're worried about "Jews running Hollywood." What a glib comment; wholly unoriginal, and as tired as your doberman is of licking that peanut butter off your cock.

  • brings back some wonderful memories hearing this.

  • I was like 12 when this came out, it was an instant favorite.

  • You knew a television show was popular if they made a Colorforms version of it !

  • Irwin Allen had great Sci-fi shows in the 1960's but like a typical DICK in Hollywood he never finished any of these shows.

  • @sigzor85 Uh, yeah, like it was HIS idea to cancel all those shows... :(

  • @Owlzindabarn ALL his shows were cancelled after a few seasons. Do you think that was a coincidence? I was a kid back then and sci-fi was so popular so YES he (Irwin Allen: a NY JEW controlling Hollywood) had definitely something to do with that.

  • @sigzor85 Listen, dumbass--producers don't generally want their own shows to get cancelled. That would lead to a, um, loss of income. NETWORKS cancel shows, not the creators of the shows. How stupid are you? I mean, really! The fact that you bring up his religion just goes to prove that you're just another stupid internet crank. Now shut up.

  • @Owlzindabarn Oh yeah YOU cocksucker faggot punk bitch you think you know everything, ASSHOLE? He your boy (Allen) wanted nothing to do with these sci-fi shows he created once the Towering Inferno and Poseidon Adventure were in the works. He devoted hinself solely to make these movies to make more money than the netwrorks would pay him for TV shows.

  • @Owlzindabarn And idiot, ne had lots of pull in Hollywood and being a JEW had alot to do with that, But who the fuck. are you, scumbag, to think you know what goes on in Hollywood?

  • @sigzor85 You're the one making anti-Semitic remarks and I'M the scumbag? Excuse me, little bitch, but I happen to work in Hollywood, and whatever pull you think he had wouldn't excuse the networks from canceling his shows if the ratings were low (which they were). So listen to how retarded your thinking really is: in your version of the events, Irwin Allen fired himself, removing his source of income, in order to keep science fiction fans from enjoying his shows, because he was Jewish.

  • This was on Saturday lunchtimes and I will forever associate SuperNoodles with this programme!

  • Fantastic music......

  • i was the star of this show..

  • Better yet.. dont hire the same star that botched...Wild Wild West.. Lost in Space cas was great!, The pathetic PC scripts are what is tiresome.

  • I used to watch this TV serie every single time it was playing.

  • If you notice Lost In Space, Land Of The Giants, and Time Tunnel revolved around the characters being stuck somewhere. Land Of The Giants wore out quickly. Lost In Space was stuck on the first planet for the whole first season. All three series the people couldn't get home. All Irwin Allen's stuff starts out good and ends up bad. The first half of the first season of Lost In Space were great. Well done and somewhat realistic. Then it went down hill.

  • I grew up and up and up on this.

  • Wow - listening to this makes me feel like a little kid again. Thank you soooo much.

  • Why don't they great opening music like this anymore? That was great and thanks for posting.

  • AWESOME show....they certainly don't make good shows like anymore, sad

  • I remember this when I was a kid, pure cheese.

  • This was on American Live TV for a couple of years, then they dropped it. Does anyone know whether it is on a national TV network. I grew watching shows like this. This was TV when it was worth watching.

  • This is one of the best themes ever. Me and my sister watched this as kids every afternoon on our huge black and white TV back in the seventies...

I have not seen this on Australian television for well over twenty years. Life was so great and easy back in the '70's...

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

I haven't heard this since I was a kid! You've put a huge goofy grin on my face, thank you thank you thank you for uploading!

  • Classic theme: very "busy". Lots of brass, used in a distorted, abrasive style. Much better than the season two theme.

  • I LOVED THE HORNS THEY USED

  • You can see in the credits that this sound track is one of the firt works of John Williams

  • nice.

  • I used to watch this in the late 1980's on a Sunday including Black Beauty, Lost in Space, Worsel Gormage. I was a kid back then and I still remember the programmes that used to be on.

  • @Scrabbler27 That was the good old days lol

  • @Scrabbler27 me too, same era! fab telly for kids those days - they didn't talk down to us, they treated us like we actually had a bit of brains!

  • I think there secret mission was to find out if there were rings around Uranus. Maybe the crew needed a proctologist!

  • yes, another TYPICAL irwin allen production...a great show!!!...would make a great movie...just DON'T hire the same people that "botched" the Lost In Space remake!!!

  • @1clarinet1981: How about NOT making this into a movie at all-the premise of the show was bogus to begin with, and the movie would be laughed out of existence.

  • @1clarinet1981 Yep Great show!

  • iv'e just finished watching both seasons and was as hooked now as i was as a child, Please Steven Speilberg have a crack at this, i think it's worth a gamble.!!

  • Classic Irwin Allen. Great idea, amazing special effects (at the time, the most expensive program on television), done in by very uneven writing, no plan on where to take the story, and Allen's contempt for character development. The pilot, which he directed himself and which took three times longer than usual to shoot is close to the high point if not it.

  • has anyone noticed that captain looks a lot like the main character from the island and the other guy looks like harrison ford?

  • this show is so good. i got the first 2 disks from the library and i've watched the first 4 episodes and it's so bad ass! i'm a fan now!

  • i've download the whole first seasons...why nobody post any clip in youtube yet...

  • was this really the 60's??? omg... i remember loving this program, but in the late 80's and early 90's! i really want to watch it again!

  • It transported me back in time, it was my favorite programme as a little girl in the 60's, it fasinated me, I always thought about this being in my memory, so when I just found it I cried, so many years have past and I still remembered the tune.

  • My favorite series when i was a kid... Use to think that my mums Bonzai was design by little man... and they live among us... hahahaha... i like/...

  • I saw very little of Land of the Giants when I was younger, but have wished I could have seen more of it. Seemed like an interesting and kind of scary show when I saw parts of it.

  • hulu has the whole series available online, for free (legally). Just fyi.

XD That's how I discovered it.

  • yeh, except hulu and other such sites cant be viewed by us people that arent in the USA.

  • Mad as - I love this theme and all of the other 60's show themes like Lost in Space ... Thanks for creating this ...

  • Though both shows offered a culturally diverse cast only Star Trek proved to stand the test of time. The Land of the Giants gave nothing that has withstood the time test, unlike phasers, communicators and continued space exploration.

  • But a stirring theme, though, if nothing else! lol

  • Yeah who cares. It's great music and a fun show. "The test of time" is measured in our hearts.

  • i believe that your penis, has calcified with smegma, hidden within in the recesses of your foreskin! you dick!

  • The series gave use the Space-plane, which is not too removed from the space shuttle of today.

  • Too bad it only flew in the pilot episode, though I remember one other episode where they ran the engines for some reason I can't remember.

  • the spindrift was captured by a convict on the run in which he intended to use it in exchange for parole. He later fell into quicksand and the engines were used to escape the quicksand and later pull him out of the quicksand as a gesture of goodwill for their freedom

  • What about those giant spools of thread and matchbooks?

  • Well if Star Trek recently got a reboot this could come back as well

  • I watch this when I was growing up!

  • Great theme. Who composed it? I know John Williams worked on the series, but I'm not sure he did the theme tune.

  • yes, Williams wrote this and one other theme for the second or third season. also wrote many of the episode music

  • This Was TV At it's Best!

  • do you think a movie could work ???

    a blockbuster remake ????

  • I don't know. a lot of hollywood remakes have been hit and miss. remember, the avengers, wild, wild west, etc.,?

  • A big screen movie would definitely work! Hollywood is running out of imagination lately !

  • I grew up on this

  • @oneil2311 Great show!

  • @oneil2311 Shit, me too, thought it was the coolest thing ever!

  • Wow what memories i have not seen this in years. Now this was real T.V. Thank's for posting this.

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
