Wow-thank you sooo much for sharing that...Ian is so handsome & I love the sweet pictures. I was not a "member" of this site, and have to say I joined just to comment to you. This was a beautiful gift you have given us...thank you for paying it forward :)
I am a home care nurse who takes care of children. I was searching for a video to present to a class of nursing students when I found this. You have done an amazing job explaining what it means to have a child with special needs. Thank you so much for this video.
you obviously did a wonderful job with your son, he looked like he was very happy. I can't even imagine the hurt you endured. I have two boys myself and wouldn't even want to think of it... Thanks for sharing your son's story.
This video brought me to tears, I'm so sorry for the card that Ian was dealt and the challenges you have all faced because of it.
I began my qualified nursing career this year, and have since tried to find an area that I would like to specialise in.
As a fellow nurse, I'm so proud of the nurses involved in Ian's care and the positivity they brought into your lives. I am inspired to do further research on Special Needs Nursing. Thankyou for sharing your story with us all.
this video made me cry im so sorry for ur lost i have a 2 year old daughter with cp and hydrocephalus she also has eating and speaking issues i know its hard im soo sorry for your lost
Oh God Bless you I cried through the end of this video, I am so scared of the day Noah (my son who is 5 with CP, Septo-Optic Dysplasia and Lennex-Gasteaux Syndrome (a rare and severe seizure disorder)) is taken from us. I am thankful for everyday with him, he is my blessing. I am going to go snuggle him now. But, before I do may I ask what computer was used to help your son communicate. I know Noah is in there and I want to help give him a voice! Thank you and God Bless!
Love the video. So sorry he passed away. I have a child with severe brain malformations. I noticed that Ian has good muscle tone in his arms.. in several of the pictures... How was he able to achieve that? What therapy? My son will turn 8 next month. We are having to get a baclofen pump this year.. his test is Feb. 2nd. Then hip surgery. Ian has a beautiful smile. My Matthew does too!
we should honestly just put down the mentally disabled. they are just wasting our oxygen.
