kishore da ne jo ek baar gaa diya wo gaa diya uske baad usko chahe aap 1000 baar copy kar lo lekin kishore da jesaa magic nahi create ho sakta. kishore da still rules. salute to u dada. rip.
This song sounds similar to "Ek rasta hai zindagi" becuz both the songs have the same music director which is Rajesh Roshan. His music was simply awesome in slow soothing songs like this. another classic example would be "choo kar mere man ko"....Love Rajesh Roshan's music after RDB.
I have not seen the movie but i love the song and the lyrucs..they have a deep feel to it...they have so many levels....Also rakesh roshan looks good in this song.
There is no point of me saying Kishore is the best....many people here have said it like a 1000 times.......
The song is beautiful, no doubt. The picturization leaves a lot to be desired, though. I expected a handsome hero riding a motorcycle through the woods, something similar to Shashi Kapoor in Kala Patthar (Ik Rasta Hai Zindagi). The song has that same josh, but the picturization sadly is much pathetic.
@iwantfun4me - I get your point. However, Rakesh Roshan was also considered to be very handsome in those days. Please take into consideration that the film belongs to the late seventies. I watched it as I was growing up (I was just in my teens at that time), and was tremendously impressed by the song and the handsome heroes (Jeetendra and Rakesh Roshan). Those were the days of bell bottoms and manly, bare chested heroes. Ik Raasta Hai Zindagi is of course a classic, but so is this one...
I would go a little farther to say this song is maybe a little better than Ik Rasta Hai Zindagi, in my personal opinion. If the situation had been similarly fast paced, it would have taken the whole experience to an entirely new height. Just imagine this song being shot on Amitabh in Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, in place of the original title song and you will see what a difference it could have made.
@iwantfun4me ABs charisma and acting talent are unparalleled. Had he been born in the USA, he would probably have reached greater heights than Marlon Brando or Clint Eastwood. I have no doubt that this song would also have been a great success as a title song in MKS. However, lesser mortals than AB have also delivered. Rakesh Roshan and Jeetendra captured the imagination of the young generation with this song, and credit is also due to them, keeping in mind the golden voice of KK.
The bengali people are really talented in different things, from music to soccer! few lagends not only gave melelious music to the bollywood but it all starts from the national anthem, just name them...Bankim Ch. Chaterjee to Rabindranath Tagore. Bengalis are aggressive too, from Bose to Ganguly, never let India down!
