The only thing that makes them remotely like Buzzcocks is that a youngRobert Smith without makeup looks a bit like Pete Shelley.

Musically, The Cure are much better.

I love Buzzcocks for many reasons...Orgasm Addict, the fact that they organised the Lesser Free Trade Hall gig which in turn sparked off many other bands!

However, The Cure are NOT a copy...they are just a much better band.

I think the cure were just awesome until pornography in 82, after that they made much more unequal albums but they still pull through w/ great songs.
