@lMarksmanl its good, but a little slow for american type people. also, it is from the 70's. you really need the good quality one with 16 different language subtitles like i managed to find. and lastly, it is all about "the zone" it has NOTHING to do with fighting mutants or the videogame really. however, the same guy who made it also made solaris.

@lMarksmanl solaris was a book written by the same person who wrote stalker. then, each book was made into a movie (or in solaris' case, two different movies) while stalker was also made into a videogame based somewhat loosely on some of the ideas in the stalker movie. i liked both solaris movies, and the stalker movie, and all of the stalker videogames. you might want to check them out yourself, highly entertaining.

and my god! the original movie version i managed to find was BEAUTIFUL. it looked like a movie that was barely 5 years old. the greens and vegetation, and atmosphere just felt so REAL. It is a true monument to whoever did the work behind it. I mean the movies from 1979 77? and it looks 5 years old at the most.
