Obviously Ronaldo has also produced- but so have the likes of Benzema and Higuain. If Ronaldo does not score, one of those two will. Barca though do not have that luxury. If Messi does not perform, they do struggle. And Ronaldo has flopped in big games before. Messi is more of a big game player.
