Scion's sales have been going down since '07, so what better way to revitalize the brand by putting one of the best American drifters behind the wheel of a factory converted RWD tC (even if the car is FWD), and Toyota is even going to sell the FT-86 as a Scion. That's what happens to a company when you stop selling sports cars for nearly 10 years; no one looks at your brand.

AE101 and AE111 4A-GE 20v Valve engines are a lot of fun I agree! I have a AE111 engine ready to put into a TA40 Wagon to slide around with while the 16 valve AE86 gr.A 4A-GE engine which is AE86 bigport head on AE92 kouki block is being overhauled.

@ClutchingintheMoment Its a true vintage Gr.A car :) That thing took pummeling since 1988 (When it was rally-converted) and the original TRD tuned GR.A 4A-GE head was still working, the original AE92 block was blown but it came with the car when I bought it as well (I had to buy an AE92 engine just for the block)
I have contacts for getting any JDM engine but the AE86 will be kept as close to it`s original Gr.A specs as possible, only upgrade being AE101 ITB`s instead of the Weber 45 DCOE`s.

These hachi's are so damn amazing! I would'nt trade a car like this, even if I was offered 10 Lamborghini's, its something charming about this car, like the engine, and how simple it is, and so much potential in it...

ok i got a question up for discussion if u were drifting for style and angle what would work best a turbo or a supercharger? no nessesarely to be put on an 86 just over all cuz i know turbo only kicks in after a certain amount of mph while the supercharger is constant so id like to get sum opinions

its the rear wheels still, same as fwd. all cars handbrake's work on rear wheels. hence why drifters use hand brake to lock rear wheels and keep car going sideways.

These hachi's are so damn amazing! I would'nt trade a car like this, even if I was offered 10 Lamborghini's, its something charming about this car, like the engine, and how simple it is, and so much potential in it...
In the place where I'm at, this car are gonna stand out in the crowd when I finally buy one of these, and this is what I will continue to do from then on :D

ok i got a question up for discussion if u were drifting for style and angle what would work best a turbo or a supercharger? no nessesarely to be put on an 86 just over all cuz i know turbo only kicks in after a certain amount of mph while the supercharger is constant so id like to get sum opinions

AE86s are awesome I love mine too I remember when i used to watch tsuchiya's videos waiting for the day i would find one and build it. Im still no where near a quarter of what his 86s are tuned to or what he can do but Im learning. No, he popularized it. There was a guy called Kunimitsu Takahashi who did it before, and KT got it from him.(u can look it up) and rally racers did it even b4 that.

its the rear wheels still, same as fwd. all cars handbrake's work on rear wheels. hence why drifters use hand brake to lock rear wheels and keep car going sideways.

don't worry, i'm building a civic EG right now after I lost my TOYOTA COROLLA AE101 and later will build my KP61 starlet... and also Keiichi usually drives and adores Hondas but much adores AE86s...

haha you're a moron you know that? you know he loves the AE86? they're one of the best drifting cars of all time. these little cars built drifting in Japan. These were what everyone was using before the 180's and Silvias. They hold legendary status and they're one of the best cars to learn in.
