The blade I am using is fairly course for 1.5" thick stock, the finish is square, and when sharp saw lines are visible, but fairly smooth to the touch. When dull (as in this video), the blade tears the wood out creating a fuzzy texture, i am using these sticks for stacking green wood. With a 4-6 tpi blade the strips would be fairly smooth. I would always joint for a glue up since a bandsaw will never be as square as a jointer
Thanks for posting this. Can I ask you a quick question? Do those strips require joining after passing through the bandsaw or are the fairly square and flat?
