you ladies are such a wonderful demonstration yourselves of Japanese Culture! it is great to have you teach us how to use our calligraphy supplies. It is not as easy as i thought and i still have difficulty using it sometimes

@liamfeb27 "kirei" is "na" adjective, so it needs "na" before the noun it modifies, thus:

きれいな女 (kirei na onna)

It helps when I need to explain to someone what items they may need to get started.

As for the ink, I've only used the block type and not the bottle type. I understand that the bottle type of ink is faster but is the quality of bottle inks worse?
