  • Ralph Fiennes is a great actor!

  • I absolutely adored this movie. I totally wasn't expecting it to be so well written and acted as it turned out to be. It was funny, tragic, thought provoking and utterly fascinating. When people bitch about modern movies, they should really take a look at this one. Oh, and the scene with this song was just so heart breaking :(

  • One of the best films I've ever seen

  • The trailer, the marketing for In Bruges all made it out to be a typical 'buddy action comedy', like what's been done by Will Smith et al. The actual movie is so much deeper, so gripping and powerful - a story about redemption and finding purpose in life. The comedy is there as a device to humanise the characters. In Bruges is so much more than just another laugh machine.

  • @Y2KillerSPOOBLY Yeah the advertising really annoyed me. I was put off by it because it didn't look like my kind of movie so didn't see it for a while. I imagine so many others did the same thing and missed out on this masterpiece.

  • I'm listening to this in preparation for "The Reichenbach Fall" of BBC's Sherlock. This song makes me think of John Watson having to return to Baker Street after The Fall. Makes me sob. ;_;

  • so if you try to mug someone, and you are carrying a gun full of blanks, and you allow your gun to be taken off you, and then have said blank shot in your eye( which i imagine one has to get pretty close to do) then it sounds like your fault for being such a poof.

  • Hi people :) I am from Czech Republic :) and I want to say you big THANK YOU for this film !!!! It is the greatest film I ever saw ! ... before my dead I want see Bruges :) and Dublin :) ... I send greetings from Czech Republic ( sorry for my really bad english ! )

  • @CzechPUNKMET what exactly do you mean before your dead?

  • @feedbackrichie I wanted to say : I want to see Bruges at least once in my lifetime. And I do not care if it will be 50 years or 1 day before my death . :))))

  • Today is The Dubliners 50th year together!! Brilliant song to celebrate 50years of beautiful Music!

  • fucking great movie

  • GOD BLESS THE IRISH

  • In Bruges brought me here.. a brilliant fucking movie.. and the first time I saw it..and it got to this scene I was crying.. when Ken decided to jump off the tower..such a sad end to a great character.

  • @trentkill me too!

  • this scene was one of the best ive ever seen,

  • The best part about the movie is that its shot brilliantly , and looks like the actors are just being themselves, and not forcing the comedy onto the audience... Great casting , well shot, great soundtracks, just Great movie... And this movie makes me wanna visit places like bruges all over Europe...

  • I love this movie, especially the part where Ken and Harry are having drinks and exchanging conversation, just like Robert De Niro and Al Pacino did in Heat... two enemies/rivals, having some drinks and having conversation just like old friends....

  • @700Harry007 Both Classic Movies.

  • @700Harry007 That's probably because they WERE old friends.

  • The first ever like, boom!!

  • Estoy despierto pero todo esto me parece un sueño.

  • I'm reading some of the comments, and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets teary-eyed during this scene.

  • I can't figure this film out. It's my all time favourite, but I don't know if its a tragedy or a comedy. Scenes like Gleeson's death prove its both, I suppose.

  • @MichaelAndyDodds Yeah it's an amazing dark comedy. I love this movie

  • Paddy Kavanagh and Luke Kelly, can't go wrong

  • The movie is soooo cccoooooollllll

  • beutiful song

  • that scene is so emotional :')

  • This song is beautiful and the movie artfully done. I always get misty-eyed at this scene before wincing at the crunch of Ken's body...

  • makes me proud to be half irish

  • err guys its narrow up ther. ur a bunch of fuckin elephants

  • @ilikecake48 I'm merely referencing the pivotal moment in the movie when the song was played. What does respect have anything to do with this? If you think this is an insult, I think you seriously need to grow a backbone and stiffen your lip.

  • Such a dark scene.

  • "HARRY... it's and inanimate f*cking object

    "YOU'RE AN INANIMATE F*CKING OBJECT"

  • Walking home at 5 a.m. after a long night, it's snowing....The perfect song!

  • Martin McDonagh is a little ride!

  • One thing I still didn't get. Did Ray actually die in the very end or was he saved? Or are we supposed to decide ourselves?

  • @Timophey74 @Timophey74 if you ever find yourself asking that question, it is often a signpost for deciding yourself. the other thing to consider (and i, for one, feel this way about the story) is that his ultimate survival be irrelevant to the greater work, and i think McDonagh felt similarly

  • @lincolndcg couldn't agree with you more :)

  • @Timophey74 I think we decide for ourselves, whether he deserves a 2nd chance

  • This is one of those films...Bloody Brilliant, superb, perfect!

  • Such a beautiful song......and then in the film, as the song ends.......SPLAT.

  • @baxatak Dude... A little respect....

  • Such a beautiful song......and then in the film, as the song ends.......SPLAT.

  • 4 people are stuck in fucking Bruges.

  • Ray: "well you lot aren't going up there are you?"

    Americans: "pardon me, why?"

Ray: "cause you're a bunch of fucking elephants"

  • @215Dave215 so do i its really good

  • Not to bitch about dislikes or anything. But how the fuck does every single YouTube video get dislikes? Take this one for example. You see the brilliant movie, you hear this brilliant song (yes I know it from the movie, let it go), you check on YouTube for a good version. The title says "In Bruges Soundtrack - On Raglan Road The Dubliners". How the fuck does anyone not know what to expect? I don't get it that's all. Anyway thanks for posting this one.

  • @micvrom Someone sends a link, you click on it, you don't like it, you click dislike

  • @maagiapall Right, I hadn't considered that. But still silly to click the dislike in that situation I think. The title matches the content. It's high quality. Prehaps you don't like the song and that's fine but in my opinion it's a little uncalled for to click the dislike button unless you want to kind of 'warn' other people for the video being bad quality or messed up content or whatever, not to share your taste.

  • @micvrom You don't like the video = you dislike it.

Dislike button is there to click on a video that you dislike. That's all there is to it.

  • @micvrom Actually, There's been quite a few circumstances where I've clicked the dislike button by accident. Those two dislikes were likely accidents.

  • @TonneofAsh That is inexcusable :p lol jk

  • @micvrom Stupid cunt, obviously.

  • @nuttex I'm sorry what did I do?

  • @micvrom Used a retarded joke that has captured comment section at EVERY single video at YouTube. And then started buggering some lad because of that. This is what is inexcusable.

  • @nuttex Oh goodness is he alright?

  • @micvrom I suppose so.

  • @nuttex What a relief.

  • @micvrom Agreed.

  • @Badassproductionsftw inanimate

  • @Badassproductionsftw 'Anatomic'? I think you mean 'Inanimate'

  • you heet the canadian

  • you don't know karate! *CHOP* SHORTARSE!

  • Like a big fat fuckin retarded fuckin black girl on a seesaw....opposite............a dwarf

  • I got a date.........with a girl

  • OH DON'T GO GETTING ALL GHANDI ON ME.

  • i love this song!

  • you know you're just the rudest man, the rudest man!

  • "A bottle! Don't bother" :P

  • "It's all your fault for being such a poof, so why don't you stop wingeing and cheer the fuck up."

  • "what about the vietnamese? THE BLACKS!"

  • Brilliant song. Brilliant film. 'nough said.

The actors are all superb, and superbly cast, the score is a bit iffy at times (think Ralph feinnes crossing bridge on entrance to Bruges) but is complemented by an exceptional sountrack (yes, there is a difference between score and soundtrack)

The script is phenomenal, my personal favourite being "YOUR AN INANIMATE F$@KING OBJECT", and the comedy is downright hilarious. What a film.

  • Thery're filming midgets!

  • 1, 2, 3 go!

  • love how this movie combines beautiful music, fantastic acting, a touching story, and the immortal line "you're all a bunch of fucking elephants!"

  • The two Irish actors really complimented each other. I am so glad that two American/English actors were not used, imitating the Irish accent as that really bothers me. Nice touch using The Dubliners' song, captures the Irish simplicity of music in such a beautiful way.

  • REALLY ENJOYED THE FILM AND I COULDN'T STOP LISTENING TO THIS SONG....IT TAKES YOUR HEART

  • must've watched this film about 30 times now over 2 years, no exaggeration, and still want to watch it. all together i've had 5 pints of beer and 6 bottles, no, 6 pints of beer and 7 bottles, and you know what, i'm not even pissed!! :)

  • "its all a bit elaborate isn't it? take the boy to hide out. take him to hide out where? take him to hide out in fookin' Bruges. you can hide out in Croydon."

    "aye...or Coventry."

  • thats for john lennon, ya yanky fucking cunt

  • @Leprechaun06 u moron

  • @grimlinmonk dude the actor says it in the movie...

  • @Leprechaun06 They forgot BEER!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I could listen to this song forever.

  • "Gonna die now, I think."

Gleeson deserved the Best Actor Oscar for his performance. Farrell is a close second, though.

  • @Psifonian2 brendan gleeson is probably the most underrated actor ever

  • YOUR AN INANIMATE FUCKIN OBJECT.

im sorry i called you an inanimate object.

  • this song even semes better in the movie dont know is if its the secne

  • This scene made me depressed for like 3 days.

  • @Maidenman92 same lol

  • I love the movie...i love the scene on the belfried and the song.

    Perfect...

  • I love the movie...i love the scene on the belfried and the song.

    Perfect...

  • I think this is my favorite version of this song.

  • @SuperSlyTime well in this context it doesn't mean monkey, it means dirty.

"monkey hookers" makes no fucking sense. it couldn't be a racial slur against the black girl either, because the other was white and ken was arguing against jimmy's racism, telling him about his wife being black.

  • @Rabsputin ken says mankey not monkey, means dirty or rotten

  • @SuperSlyTime in what language?

for celtic people (which includes the irish, which both ken and ray are in the movie) it means dirty. he was calling them dirty whores.

  • Oh, Luke Kelly...

  • To the 2 people that disliked this song I would love to stab use in the ears

  • @jacko8071 it's yous

  • @Mosesnick and i look bothered

  • @jacko8071 Just saying - not trying to be a git about it. Relax

  • Just thought I'd tell you guys that a bottle is a deadly weapon.

  • ...Raglan Road...bože, to je nádhera....:-)

  • I actually live in Bruges, when I listened to this music while seeing the scene it almost brought tears in my eyes, in a way it shows how beautifull Bruges is and yet it takes you away in Irish spirit. And though nobody would be able to still say a few words after falling from so high, it don't matter, it's the best scene.

  • @smash91 Superlike=)

  • Great song, great movie. Big ups to the Dubs for this.

  • You use this word......alcoves?

  • Back Off Shorty

  • "A BOTTLE!!!!"

  • "You've got to stick to your principles."

  • I'm gonna die now

  • @exracehorse I think.

  • Ken, I grew up in Dublin. I love Dublin. If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Bruges might impress me but I didn't, so it doesn't.

  • "Yes, a bit of a cock."

  • "Purgatory's kind of like the in-betweeny one. You weren't really shit, but you weren't all that great either. Like Tottenham."

  • two people were born on a farm and are retarded

  • What do i mean? I mean your a bunch of fucking elephants!

  • 2 people hit the canadian

  • YOU HEEET THE CINADIAN.?I DON"T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.

  • i hit the canadian.

  • A bottle?! No fuck that.

  • Great movie. I had to went to Bruges 2 years ago. And It is amazing city!

  • I fucking love In Bruges! Even my dad loved it when I showed him it.. and my dad is a grumpy old git who doesn't enjoy anything! A fucking top movie!

  • YOU DON'T KNOW KARATE!

  • Loved this movie! My dad and I watched this the other night. We haven't yet to date see a movie with such a dark sense of humour. His fave scene, was when Ray (Colin Farrell) answers the fat americans about the tower, like "What am I exactly trying to say? That you're a bunch of fooking elephants!" My dad just pissed himself laughing at that scene. This song really sets the movie well, very moving.

  • i lob this movie

  • What's a lollipop man doin' knowin' fuckin' karate?

  • It's like a fairytale.

  • "Somehow I believe Ken that the balance will t...tip in the favor of culture, Like a big fat fucking retarded fucking black girl on a see-saw. Opposite, a Dwarf."

  • i,m gonna die now i think

  • this song topped off what was a pretty nice movie.

  • Dear Loreena McKennitt gives a passionate interpretation of this very song...sounds

completely different, though. Loved In Bruges...my kind of movie!

  • @bedazzledbystephanie I have seen her version. I think she simply hams it. This song is essentially a poetic master piece put to a very simple, and very melodious tune. It does not need the sort of high octane psuedo-emotional interpretation that she gives it.

  • you're an inanimate fucking object
