@smoothpants - Question: On the Seated Row, I was using both handles. I see you're using one. Is it generally better to use one, or did you find it better to use one over both?
Thank you for SMASHING the more res = cut less reps = bulk myth... Such a load of crap. I was in the fitness profession for 6 years. I set my female clients up on programs with a mix of lower weight for endurance and a lot of HEAVY weight for strength and function and they got super cut.. so yeah thanks for shedding light to others...
This is a good video. I used the Total Gym and a set of dumbbells to lose 35 pounds in 6 months. All it took was 40 minutes or less most days of the week. I gave up processed carbs (anything man-made), but plain vegetables with Mrs. Dash seasoning are "free" (I don't count those calories). I eat lots of lean protein and drink unsweetened tea, so I feel full all the time despite my weight loss.
@kleme your right this is my second day doing his work out but I do three of 20 each set he does and I'll tell you I feel good after I'm done and it's a tough work out great job Jim
It looks like a good work out you got going on there I'm going to try it and I have the total gym elite it's works very well for me but I do like your work out it must work because your a pretty big guy and thanks for the video
Hello! Have you tried intellectus 424 diet (search on google)? Ive heard some great things about it and my friend lost crazy amounts of weight with it.
You mention doing a review on Total Trainer. I am trying to decide between the DLX3 and the Power Pro featured in your video. Have you done a video review on the Bayou Fitness equipment?
I'm looking at the DLX III as well as this model, but I'm a little worried about all the clicking/squeking I'm hearing in this video? For the top of the line model at Bayou is this normal?
@worldaccordingtojim Hello, would this work with the weider total body works 5000? it looks similar to your machine minus a couple of things, but I can get a great deal on one now.
@sean132659 I have the same question! The noise sure is a dealbreaker for me. I quit using my elliptical for the same reason. I have tried out the Total Gym and it does not have that problem. I think it is almost worth paying $200 more plus accessories in exchange for a quiet unit.
@nogladysno it's not that loud. I have the 1500- original style total gym and its not that loud. I use it in my garage tho. But it is one of the best workout machines out there because they do it all and they are cheap. check craigslist you can find them at rock bottom prices. try to get the one like he has with the barbells tho.-jeremy
Power Pro model, which is their Light Institutional Total Trainer Power Pro. I will make a review, but I will tell you I had this for over a year and love it. I use it three times a week, and have not complaints.
Nice video mate I've just acquired a total gym nice bit of kit....:-)

- Very nice.
I bought the Total Trainer 4000 a while ago. Was using it faithfully, but then got lazy.
About to get back into it. This workout? I will use it. :-) Thanks.

@sean132659 It can be removed, it is bolted onto two metal panels. The metal panels then run on the rail via roller blade style wheels.
