I have just recently been diagnosed with this, and have all of these symptoms plus more. My mother has this, and so does my sister-in-law.

i have stiff neck and thigh shoulder for about 2 years now.. non stop.. haha
but i dont have those pain which they speak.. im a guy.. wierd! O_o

Hiow is the diagnosis made ??....is there a blood tesat or a definate test to show the condition is what a person has???....

I'm not sure where or whether Fibro and M.E/CFS converge for me as, apart from muscle pain, stiffness, and sensory neuropathy with burning parasthesias, I have autonomic symptoms such as Gastroparesis and oesophageal paralysis which I do not hear frequently attached to Fibromyalgia alone.
There certainly needs to be so much more research so that better accuracy of diagnosis is possible. If it is not Fibromyalgia, it is certainly something else. It behooves Dr's to diagnose us correctly.

wow how this really triggers me because I am going to get medical insurance from my Hubbys benifets soon, and I will be tested on this so mabie find out whats goin on, but the symptoms are very alike to this desease.

Hey all, I'm prescribed 240 80mg Oxycontin a month for my cystic fibrosis and back issues and am willing to help anybody out who is in pain and needs some meds for real cheap but can't afford a doctor for whatever reason. I am a recovered fibromyalgic who left the care of medical profession to discover the cause and cure of this horrific condition, and I understand this condition from the inside and back out again. This is a good description of symptoms. Symptoms can often be mistaken for the cause, and treatments that help do not cure. Do not give up from failed hope. Keep going! See video:

It drives me nuts when doctors fob you off with the weight thing. I am in extreme pain 24/7 and my doctor said execise and lose weight, you are only young....lol. She should be sacked.
