hmmmm. cant really be a satellite or planet etc.... as it flies under clouds without the light dimming or flickering. if it was a helicopter with the light shining towards the camera when it flies to the east i would expect the light to dim or even disappear as it is no longer facing the camera. this isn't a satellite controlled by the government/ military and anyone who thinks it is is a cunt.

its not a helicopter - there are no warning lights. although it could have been a chinese lantern due to the slight orange glow, but the speed and constant height would suggest not perhaps; you really needed to have gone outside and firstly listened for a noise and secondly checked the wind direction.
Ive seen 5 of these in surrey that were travelling like that, against the wind, only brighter orange with black arrowheads in the centre, which my dad (a pilot) said were not aircraft. nice work

RealXFile, that is what I call a Globe UFO. If you were to see it up close with your eyes only, it will look like a globe of light; further away, it will look like a ball of light. Excellent video capture.
@explorerSG1 Thanks for that. The helicopter explanation has not been ruled out so I cant call this a real UFO however some ufologists have shown interest and have noted that the craft moves extremely fast (for a helicopter anyway) plus theres no discernible shape to ID it for sure.
@RealXFile Did you hear any helicopter noise when you filmed this video? "discernible shape"... a globe UFO looks like a ball of light; however, if you look more closely, you will see areas on the outer skirts of the light that look like tiny black balls that randomly move around. Every now and then, it will protrude outwards a little bit showing also a transparent tube-like surface.

However, i do believe in UFO's, and weird things, as i was walking home one day, looking up at the sky, above me, in the distance, i saw something, probably a couple miles away, moving towards the ground, fast, sort of looked like a plane on fire, no noise though, then it dissapeared behind some trees, and i've not known anything since. Weirdest thing was, i got home, my mum was out with my stepdad, when they came back, i mentioned it to her, and she'd seen exactly the same thing

I have seen lots of these lately in one area up the road where i live. Its like the following me around now..lol..I dont have a good zoom on my digital camera so zoomed in just as a normal picture and actually got a photo of a craft..These are happening all over the West Midlands...Great catch!! Mine headed from south west, to north west, in a straight line, and was much different to a plane. Just a ball of light, like this one.

where was that filmed? i used to live in lozells and was used to aircraft flying overhead, i saw 2 similar orbs flying at great speed close and paralell relatively to each other, appearing to be as low as yours and at what appeared a constant height...they crossed the sky in about 7 seconds ....

As far as i researched that it could be either the reflection of the sun at the surface of a plane or maybe a special plane of the USAF which has a large modern training facility on the RAF Fairford base.

I think the aerospace technology is very modern behind official statements. Have a look at the F-117a (1981) or the B-2 spirit bomber (1989). For me they look like UFOs.

hey which area in Birmingham is this? about 2 months ago ..i saw this metallic ball in the sky..it looked like a ball and it was moving, it wasnt even that high in the sky ... i thought i was seeing things..but when i saw a woman run out her house shouting UFO! i was just shocked ..at the fact i am witnessing a UFO. I have seen a similar object over Birmingham. The one I saw was static just like this for a long time, like a star. very bright, like venus. My little boy and I were watching it and trying to work out what star it was, then it moved backwards... away backwards and disappeared.Very strange. I was gob smacked. no idea what it was.
P.S it didnt seem like a lantern or balloon, it was not an orange glow but bright white, and it 'zipped' back into nothing...it didnt 'float'. very interesting to see. I wonder what it was:)

since its UNDER the clouds, its not likely to be a sattelite or a space station, not an aircraft,because there are no navigation lights and the police helicopter does not fly that fast with the night sun on, when flying fast they use the night vision camera

no man its not a satellite. a satellite hovers into the space not in our atmosphere, this light is verry bright. you barely cant see a satellite with a naked eye
Very good clip. It could be, but I don't think it is, a helicopter. It just seemed to be hovering too high for a helicopter. Also, judging the distance that the helicopter would have been away, it accelerated and travelled pretty fast for a heli. Just my pennies worth.

UPDATE : Plane/jet and natural causes has been ruled out. The lights and craft acceleration isnt consistent with a helicopter however this doesnt mean its been ruled out. The experts are still investigating and will be contacting relevant authorities to find out if they had anything in the air at the time. I will update here as soon i know anything. Thanks
Its deffinately not plane or Helicopter would say UFO. I saw 4 yesterday in Birmingham it was a realy hot day and it was the first I had seen in day light. 5/5

I've seen the same kind of ufo in my lifetime, twice during night (bright light stationary for a while then suddenly it moves away, at both occasions outdoor parties with many witnesses, and once midmorning while i was waiting for the bus with my sister. it was hovering for 15 mins (until we had to board the bus) and we thought it was stationary but spinning somewhat bec it casted reddish lights while the very bright sun showed its metalic like surface, am not suprised ur vid showed same type
The 2008 Birmingham Easter UFOs and the late Summer UFO was seen also by me who already believed and some friends (ex RAF) who had previously seen and friends who previously didn't believe.
It was a shock and also gutted to see them over Birmingham area as we didn't have a camcorder the first time and the second time the batteries were dead!
Ironically we always have HD camcorder kit with us.

Thanks for your reply. The acceleration is very rapid for a helicopter given the distance it is away from you. The red light appearing just after the craft accelerates is on the wrong side. A helicopter moving left to right would show a GREEN light. Often camcorders at extreme zoom introduce red artefacts when out of focus. This may be why you are seeing a phasing red light. Analysis of the original footage would reveal if this is in time with the phasing of the autofocus.
I thought it was worth posting i will upload and send you link to the original footage for analysis. Im just speculating but its good to hear from someone who knows about this stuff and willing to look at it. Thankyou
Hi, I'm a researcher for UFORM in the UK. Having looked at the video and the speed of movement I reckon you have a video worthy of note. For the future, try to shoot with the Autofocus set to off and rest the camera on a solid object for support.
Im not sure if this ones is a UFO as the flashing white light is visible in this video and original footage indicates a helicopter or maybe a plane/jet changing direction however i've been unable to determine any shape or account for the speed this thing moves from stationary position. If you want the original footage for analysis please let me know. I was unfamiliar with manual controls and it was recorded spur of the moment this is why its was set on auto. Cheers

Definatley, cus it was totally stationary in mid air at first and then it moved to the right. It's phenomena that is exactley the same as the biblical star in the bible. It is the same type of star that the magi, three wisemen follwed to find the christ child. The UFO Phenomena is very biblical but people don't realise it. hi there, i used to see something pretty similar and pretty often too, but i found out that it was just commerial flight path. it looks pretty scary at first, the reason why it looks like its hovering is becaues its flying directly towards you then it banks and appears to stop hovering and fly, in my case it wasnt a real ufo.(even though i wish it was). if there are an airports within 15 kilometers then its probably nothing, if not then you got some nice photage of a ufo
I know what you mean by planes flying towards you - giving the appearance its hovering and all you see bright white light until its gets closer then realise it just a plane. My folks live near an airport under a flight path so i see this all the time. The craft in my video doesnt take a known flight path (that im aware of) and was recorded 10 miles from the nearest airport. Thanks

I have seen 2 exactly the same in Chesterfield UK. One in winter 2003, 10.30pm same size/hieght from ground orange colour, stationary then went down towards floor slowly, then back up and vanished in the mist, I have it on tape. Then December 27th or 28th this year 11.00pm, same again, same height from floor same colour, this time it moved off to the right and vanished into the mist. There is now way it was a plane or helicopter it was dead silet both times.
You have to concider its a man made craft as well, I mean think about it, in mid 1900s we discover flight, 1940 we make near mach1 WWII fighters, 1960 we went to the moon, 2000 we have radar invisible fighters, In 100 years of flight we are going into space so whats not to say lots of these sighting are our own built crafts.

This is nearly exactly the same as the two I have seen on seperate occasions. I live in birmingham too. The firstone I saw was in early september and there were seven of us who saw it. It was like a glowing orb that kind of pulsated but it was silent. It gently floated of, stopped and then veered of at another angle. A couple of weeks later there were loads of us after we had been out up town and what looks like the orb in your video was in the sky moving very slowly.
everything you see about U.F.O. videos are true because the objects were UNIDENTIFIED. that is why it is called an Unidentified Flying Object or U.F.O. clear?!
Why are all videos like this blurry? Seriously, this video was going in and out of focus all the time, which is a pretty logical explanation for most of the occurrences in it.
Still, I'm keeping an open mind on this. Might be true, might not be.
The setting on camcorder (G45Hi) is on automatic this is why it goes in & out of focus and blury at times and explains some effects you see in video. Thanks
It is below cloud cover and was stationary then moved quite quickly.
you may notice that it disappears or 'Blinks'(at around 36 and 40 seconds into your film) several times .. this is classic UFO style for it to do this. The other thing is that at 41 seconds one light become two lights momentarily, then back to one light again.
This also is common amongst UFO sightings for the lights to split into other lights and to join together again.
Excellent observation whoolec the object does flash a few times but i never gave any real thought into why it splits into 2 lights and back again..well spotted and weird come to think of it. If you look at page 2 (link in description) you can see the frame capture of the 2 lights and the frame immediately afterwards. Thanks
It is a U.F.O because we do not know what it is, I couldn't tell. We sometimes think, !UFOs! Unidentified Flying Object are aliens from other planets. I dont know what that was, A Balloon, Swap Gas, etc etc. I cannot say 100% its a ballon, or what ever can you!!!We can speculate and come up with different theories, so lets call it Unidentified Flying Object, its Unidentified in other words, U.F.O.

There's a trail behind them (sometimes). Ive seen loads of them, sometimes slow, sometimes fast, somewtimes with trails, sometimes without.
But even if you saw e.t. come out of a spaceship, have a wee up the side, then fly off agian, no one would listen !
They are trained by tv, ot listen to no one who isnt wearing a suit (even tho suit wearers are disshinest by nature).

Looks like a chinese lantern, caught by a gust of wind, they are very impressive if you are not used to seeing them, then again who knows.

I have seen lots of these lately in one area up the road where i live. Its like the following me around now..lol..I dont have a good zoom on my digital camera so zoomed in just as a normal picture and actually got a photo of a craft..These are happening all over the West Midlands...Great catch!! I saw something EXACTLY like this, just around the date it happened.
I was the first or second person to comment on this video when it happened, and the reason I found the video was that i searched for UFO BIRMINGHAM, to see if anyone else had seen it, and this guy had !!
Mine headed from south west, to north west, in a straight line, and was much different to a plane. Just a ball of light, like this one.

where was that filmed? i used to live in lozells and was used to aircraft flying overhead, i saw 2 similar orbs flying at great speed close and paralell relatively to each other, appearing to be as low as yours and at what appeared a constant height...they crossed the sky in about 7 seconds ....

I stopped recording when it was out of sight. I thought it might be a helicopter coming towards me with its spotlight on and was expecting to see the shape any second instead it suddenly moved east - no shape or colour changes was observed. Thanks

hey here in lebanon in a street called"ANTELIAS"we saw like 9 lights like this & they stayed for like 30min.a lot of people saw it not only me and then at night @ a television show they talked about it and they showed pictures of it!it's not the first time that it happens in Lebanon! from about 10 years they found an ALIEN screaming and hiding between two mountains and the seconde day all the newspapers talk about it....but after that day no one have ever talk about that think I don't know why !

As far as i researched that it could be either the reflection of the sun at the surface of a plane or maybe a special plane of the USAF which has a large modern training facility on the RAF Fairford base.
I found another video with similar footage but from 1973!!! Watch v=psokVsP0rmE at 2:45

But isn't it strange that most good UFO sightings are "near" (couple of miles) USAF bases?
I think the aerospace technology is very modern behind official statements. Have a look at the F-117a (1981) or the B-2 spirit bomber (1989). For me they look like UFOs.
When there are new UFO-like planes every 10 years, it would be interesting how the last 2 look like. Don't you think? ;-)

hey which area in Birmingham is this? about 2 months ago ..i saw this metallic ball in the sky..it looked like a ball and it was moving, it wasnt even that high in the sky ... i thought i was seeing things..but when i saw a woman run out her house shouting UFO! i was just shocked ..at the fact i am witnessing a UFO. The thing changed into this square like thing..and it was moving away in a vibrating way through sky. I live in the Aston area.

Its weird i kept saying to myself when am i going to see a ufo ..and then this metallic ball pops up in the sky, of all the days..i had to leave my phone at home on that day! BUFOG ? - if i knew ..i would have reported it. All i know is a lady and i saw it.. the entire street was dead quiet.

I have seen a similar object over Birmingham. The one I saw was static just like this for a long time, like a star. very bright, like venus. My little boy and I were watching it and trying to work out what star it was, then it moved backwards... away backwards and disappeared.Very strange. I was gob smacked. no idea what it was.

since its UNDER the clouds, its not likely to be a sattelite or a space station, not an aircraft,because there are no navigation lights and the police helicopter does not fly that fast with the night sun on, when flying fast they use the night vision camera

I wouldn't expect to see the ISS hover and then shoot off. I'd expect to see anything in orbit either sit tight or move at a fixed rate.

Very good clip. It could be, but I don't think it is, a helicopter. It just seemed to be hovering too high for a helicopter. Also, judging the distance that the helicopter would have been away, it accelerated and travelled pretty fast for a heli. Just my pennies worth.

I live in Birmingham, and i saw thi sobject about a week before this video came out.
it was to obig to be a plane, and was definitely round.
It had NO details and was EXACTLY as seen here.
Just as it fcked off, it seemed to turn a little bit red, then just faded away, as it slipped over the roof tops.
I have 15 cigarrettes a day, in my garden, and see 10 or 20 planes, every day.
This was NOT a plane !
Also, it seemed VERY high, but travelled too quick for a plane, and NO noise at all.

UPDATE : Plane/jet and natural causes has been ruled out. The lights and craft acceleration isnt consistent with a helicopter however this doesnt mean its been ruled out. The experts are still investigating and will be contacting relevant authorities to find out if they had anything in the air at the time. I will update here as soon i know anything. Thanks

I've seen the same kind of ufo in my lifetime, twice during night (bright light stationary for a while then suddenly it moves away, at both occasions outdoor parties with many witnesses, and once midmorning while i was waiting for the bus with my sister. it was hovering for 15 mins (until we had to board the bus) and we thought it was stationary but spinning somewhat bec it casted reddish lights while the very bright sun showed its metalic like surface, am not suprised ur vid showed same type

The 2008 Birmingham Easter UFOs and the late Summer UFO was seen also by me who already believed and some friends (ex RAF) who had previously seen and friends who previously didn't believe.
It was a shock and also gutted to see them over Birmingham area as we didn't have a camcorder the first time and the second time the batteries were dead!
Ironically we always have HD camcorder kit with us.
Samsung E900 phone was not made to film the skies either BTW

Thanks for your reply. The acceleration is very rapid for a helicopter given the distance it is away from you. The red light appearing just after the craft accelerates is on the wrong side. A helicopter moving left to right would show a GREEN light. Often camcorders at extreme zoom introduce red artefacts when out of focus. This may be why you are seeing a phasing red light. Analysis of the original footage would reveal if this is in time with the phasing of the autofocus.

Hi, I'm a researcher for UFORM in the UK. Having looked at the video and the speed of movement I reckon you have a video worthy of note. For the future, try to shoot with the Autofocus set to off and rest the camera on a solid object for support.

Im not sure if this ones is a UFO as the flashing white light is visible in this video and original footage indicates a helicopter or maybe a plane/jet changing direction however i've been unable to determine any shape or account for the speed this thing moves from stationary position. If you want the original footage for analysis please let me know. I was unfamiliar with manual controls and it was recorded spur of the moment this is why its was set on auto. Cheers

Definatley, cus it was totally stationary in mid air at first and then it moved to the right. It's phenomena that is exactley the same as the biblical star in the bible. It is the same type of star that the magi, three wisemen follwed to find the christ child. The UFO Phenomena is very biblical but people don't realise it. The ancient mayans use to worship the sky god's the same phenomena. There are evil stars out there unfortunatley.

hi there, i used to see something pretty similar and pretty often too, but i found out that it was just commerial flight path. it looks pretty scary at first, the reason why it looks like its hovering is becaues its flying directly towards you then it banks and appears to stop hovering and fly, in my case it wasnt a real ufo.(even though i wish it was). if there are an airports within 15 kilometers then its probably nothing, if not then you got some nice photage of a ufo

I know what you mean by planes flying towards you - giving the appearance its hovering and all you see bright white light until its gets closer then realise it just a plane. My folks live near an airport under a flight path so i see this all the time. The craft in my video doesnt take a known flight path (that im aware of) and was recorded 10 miles from the nearest airport. Thanks

I have seen 2 exactly the same in Chesterfield UK. One in winter 2003, 10.30pm same size/hieght from ground orange colour, stationary then went down towards floor slowly, then back up and vanished in the mist, I have it on tape. Then December 27th or 28th this year 11.00pm, same again, same height from floor same colour, this time it moved off to the right and vanished into the mist. There is now way it was a plane or helicopter it was dead silet both times.

You have to concider its a man made craft as well, I mean think about it, in mid 1900s we discover flight, 1940 we make near mach1 WWII fighters, 1960 we went to the moon, 2000 we have radar invisible fighters, In 100 years of flight we are going into space so whats not to say lots of these sighting are our own built crafts.

This is nearly exactly the same as the two I have seen on seperate occasions. I live in birmingham too. The firstone I saw was in early september and there were seven of us who saw it. It was like a glowing orb that kind of pulsated but it was silent. It gently floated of, stopped and then veered of at another angle. A couple of weeks later there were loads of us after we had been out up town and what looks like the orb in your video was in the sky moving very slowly.

It is a UFO
It is below cloud cover and was stationary then moved quite quickly.
you may notice that it disappears or 'Blinks'(at around 36 and 40 seconds into your film) several times .. this is classic UFO style for it to do this. The other thing is that at 41 seconds one light become two lights momentarily, then back to one light again.
This also is common amongst UFO sightings for the lights to split into other lights and to join together again.

It is a U.F.O because we do not know what it is, I couldn't tell. We sometimes think, !UFOs! Unidentified Flying Object are aliens from other planets. I dont know what that was, A Balloon, Swap Gas, etc etc. I cannot say 100% its a ballon, or what ever can you!!!We can speculate and come up with different theories, so lets call it Unidentified Flying Object, its Unidentified in other words, U.F.O.
