001:026 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
I agree with your point that men aspire to be gods. However, the serpent did not actually say they would be as gods, as if the period is after the word "god." His quote is ". . . and you will be like God (some say "gods" because of "elohim"), knowing good and evil. God actually affirms this to be the case, that is, with this special qualification, when he says in verse 22 ". . .Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil."
I make this point about the serpent because he is not usually quoted properly. He actually told the truth about what would happen to them, else, God would not have affirmed it. The fruit was capable of granting their minds the same kind of knowledge God himself has. This knowledge is what actually ruins man and makes him a sinner, for we all inherit the effect of the tree but we do not possess the eternal power or perfection God does.
great vid. a good doc to check out is "Hells Bells" about the music industry, which takes an in depth look at the relationship between shamanism and the music scene. or were you guys the ones behind that film too?
God clearly claims (and i believe it) that He is eternal and always was. that there are no others before Him. He is the Creator of all things. Nowhere in scripture does it allude to another separate god. if YOU read the bible more carefully you would slap yourself in the face and repent.
@EYEthatwatchestheEYE I believe the OT God was man-made in the same way we create our own God today...
"God told me to kill you, God told me to make you drink poison Kool-aid" sounds very much like: "God says to slaughter Cananite babies, do not leave a stone on a stone!" This is not the Loving God that created the universe. If man wants to create God, then who should be worshipping who? I have read the bible and the new testimant twice. Can't you see the difference between testements?
You don't understand. There are two simultaneous Gods who exist in the Old Testament. The Gnostics are telling the story that churches don't want you to know. You are trying to fill the holes with putty and don't realize that the holes are already filled if only you read the bible more carefully.
The maker of this video should read more books to learn more.

Confusion suits Satan the more misinformation that exists in the world the more people leave God.

@Jere616 Genesis 3:1 "...And he (the serpent) said unto the woman, 'Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?'"
Note: the enemy questions God's word and authority.
3:4 "And the serpent said unto the woman, 'Ye shall not surely die'"
Note: the enemy lies
3:5 "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
Note: the enemy puts it in the mind of Eve that she will be like a god.

@gardengrowsevenonefo No, we are not the producers of that video. We produced "They Sold Their Souls for Rock n Roll."

I think Satan's end game is trying to pretend to be one and the same as Jesus.
