Ah, I remember when my arcade had the six player dual screen version of this. That was awesome (I always used Storm). The game's been gone for ages, but the arcade itself only just recently went out of business. Sad, there used to be at least 15 arcades within driving distance of my house. Now there's only one.

@charlesajones77 Down here in Greensboro, NC. The X-Men Arcade game use to be at the place called Celebration Station. I highly doubt its still there though. @acidglow said that this game is on ps3 and xbox 360. I havent heard nothing about this classic game being on those game systems.....

This game got ported to Xbox 360 and PS3 in December 2010!!! I even made a 6 player co op playthrough of it!! lol.. It's just the same game really.. the replay value is low cause you what you saw in the arcade is what you get on the console version.

I Don't think that the port would have been any good actually. There is far too many colors and sprites for a 16 bit machine to handle.

Why couldn't this be ported to the SNES or Genesis? Why did I have to put up with Arcade's Revenge out of desperation? You can tell LJN didn't make this because it looks like it's way to damn much fun.

no intro? no cutscenes? just straight to the action oh well i guess that's ok, heh I love(d) dazzler as a playable character in the game and play as her almost all the time 

they should remake this game and release it on live, and psn, add more current character designs and have online and local co-op, maybe change the music... BUT keep the side scrolling beat em up gameplay it would be awesome...

I remember a line of kids waiting to play this game. At the end when you beat the game after the credits, it says "Our adventure is not yet over..." or something like that. The game kept looping, so I had to keep playing and pumping in quarters.  Genius moneymaking machine.
