Arenas are really old and bad. There are some modern ones, like in Riga, Latvia, but most of them are tragicomical and that in Cechov (Vityaz) is the worst ever. One player died during the match there, because of the lack of basical medical equipment, like a defibrilator. He got collapsed and died, because there was no equipment or competent medical crew to help him. It´s very sad. They should improve their background first, then buy some stars players.

Yes, NHL depends on ticket sales and there come 15000 or 2000 visitors to the match, in KHL it is usually less than 10000. But the league is sponsored by the rich russian oil magnates. In has good hockey quality, but very low background and atmosphere. Matches of the team HC Pardubice in the czech league are always sold out, fans are great, the stadium is modern and comfortable...and it is only the czech league with I can say low hockey quality level. KHL = crap this way.
