  • the red-head with the braids is hysterical. :D

  • @MissMonster525600 Isn't she great? She reminds me of a very young Carol Burnett.

  • @kamwrites Oh my god! She does! I didn't even notice that!

  • The orphans have amazing stage presense and they're so animated! I <3 it! Amazing talemt!

  • Molly is the cutest thing on Broadway!!!!

  • @1MissKarlieStarr yeah the 1982 film was onto night and Annie was cute but little Molly was adorable in the film version id have adopted Molly and even Pepper she was a bit rough round the edges as they say but a heart of gold and funny hell id have adopted all the kids they were adorable

  • she sounds like Annie from the movie

  • I wish I could sing like this.

  • :)

  • I love it! The characters are so animated I like it!

  • the BEST

  • Andrea changed the way children sing on Broadway. She created a distinct style as a very young girl. Pretty groundbreaking.

  • Miss Hannigan didn't like this video

  • @2:06 JOY BEHAR

  • im the guy that did the 1 dislike (:

  • @turcotte70 Asshole.

  • you can tell in her eyes that she loves sining^_^ she's so awesome!!!!!

  • Man, those girls got pizzazz! :D

  • Can you be nominated for a Tony if you are under 18?

  • @Keelnara yup! :) a bunch of younger people have been nominated. the youngest person to ever WIN a tony is 11-year-old daisy eagan, who won for playing mary lennox in the secret garden.

  • Annie looks like Kevin from The Wonder Years.

  • Was she the girl they fired a few weeks before Broadway

  • @charliebonefan213 No, she starred as Annie in the original Broadway production of the musical.

  • @charliebonefan213 That was Kristen Vigard. In fact this is a girl that replaced her. She was originally an orphan.

  • WOOOOOOOOW what talent i was also in this play in middle school oh so much fun to watch these kids have as much fun as i did can i go back to these days ....

  • I wish i could sing like that!!!! I like R@B singers do....Oh well i like my voice. This was amazing!!!! These girls are soooo talented! i want to say this was in the 70s. Am i correct?

  • im jealous

  • best. annie. cast. ever. no. exceptions.

  • insane amazing

  • wow...that's an insanely strong belt. I'm jealous!

  • shes so into her part, wow, :') AMAZING

  • god molly is adorable

  • God she was so cute! Awesome singer too.

  • She needs to do a new role on Broadway I know she was Belle in Beauty and the Beast at some point and she recently played Miss Hannigan but I mean come on people she needs a new role on Broadway!!!

  • Andrea McArdle is the original Annie and everyone else is a copy. It's not only her voice but her looks as well. If no one has noticed, but the little dancer in the dancing number that follows "Tomorrow" is none other than Danielle Brisebois, from "All in the Family" and "Archie Bunker's Place" fame.

  • Andrea McArdle is the original Annie and everyone else is a copy. It's not only her voice but her looks also.

  • deborah jean templin played miss hannigan at the walnut street theatre

  • Andrea McArdle the best Annie ever!!

  • I wish I was alive when that show was on broadway!!!! I AM DYING TO SEE IT!!!!!

  • patrick quinn was daddy warbucks in Annie at the walnut street theatre

  • Now THIS is what real TALENT is supposed to be ............too bad those days are GONE............SMH

  • can you reupload andrea mcardle beauty and the beast 1999 video please thanks

  • Beautiful voice!!!

  • I love how she sings dollar :)

  • the girl who began 'you're never fully dressed' totally captures the whole spirit of the song in her opening, fab!!

  • gosh i keep playing it over and over again..her voice is exquisite and clear :) A+++

  • Andrea McArdle's talent is like god-given. I say this as a non-religious person. Her talent - especially now as an adult - seems almost otherwordly. What a voice!

  • Andrea McArdle is magic.

  • Orchestra :(

  • Haha. This just made my dayy!

  • Is the original broadway cast recording of Annie with Andrea McArdle available on DVD or cassette? She is my fav Annie but the recording quality of her on YouTube are not doing justice to her.

  • @broadwayFan28 yes, the Original Broadway Cast album is very much still available. I have seen it in Borders and many other record stores. It is the best soundtrack of the show (due to the superior orchestrations and Andrea McArdle's vocals). The movie can't hold a candle.

  • I saw Annie on broadway a few years ago. that cast couldn't compare to the first one here. still ok, but these girls are amazing. If only I had been born earlier to have seen them!!

  • The best cast too. My bald head and I could have seen it and have been kicking myself every since then.

  • My goodness Andrea McArdle was so ridiculously talented.

Obviously she's still amazing, but to have a belt that powerful at such a young age... crazy.

  • @nicki446 She really does belt it out, doesn't she? I play all the Annie song and vidoes and own the movie on tape and DVD but I keep coming back to this video. She and the rest of the cast performed so well "live" on national tv at such a young age.

  • she is awesome :DD

  • soww gooodddd :D:D

  • I LOVE it!!!!!

  • this makes me cry... I just LOVE Annie. <3

  • Great quality/color. Makes you feel like you're actually there.

  • when i hear this song it tells me everything is fine

  • they're good

  • LOL - Sandy looks like she has stage-fright, but Andrea McArdle did a fine job handling her and somehow maneuvered her in front of her as she sang. Andrea McArdle is the best Annie ever! I think the cute red-head orphan (the first one) is very good too esp with her facial expressions. Little Danielle Briseboise can really tap too!

  • that is one talented little girl.

  • okay how much does the kid with the red braids look like a young Didi Conn?!

  • It seems that the classics always sound and dance the best!

  • this gave me such chills

  • the girl playing duffy that sings the solo has some awesome facial exsprecions.

  • You can find the clip with Andrea McArcle in the 1999 movie by searching on youtube by entering "Annie 1999 part 5/10".

  • In 1999 there was a made-for-TV movie version of Annie that was very good. It was directed by Rob Marshall, the guy who went on to direct the academy award winning movie version of Chicago. Andrea McArdle was too old at that point to do Annie, but she appears in just one scene as an aspiring actress in New York City (the NYC song) and she is great.

  • Holy sh**.. great voice!!!!

  • Is the actor playing Anna a young boy????? O.o If so OMG GRATE JOB?!?!?!?

  • @ManBig4 thats a girl

  • @ManBig4 how does she look or sound like a boy in the slightest?

  • @Blueberry488 Idk must have been the jaw. And eyes.

  • Andrea McArdle was and is an amazing talent. One of the best of all time to ever grace a Broadway stage. They hit the jackpot when they cast her in this role. Dorothy Loudon and the Easy Street number is a powerhouse performance. If this cast were transported in a time machine to 2010, the show would still be a HUGE hit.

  • WOW THOSE WERE REAL ARTIST They could thrilled an entire audience using nothing but talent!!!!! Andrea McArdle the best Annie of all She was Annie. The entire cast so talented They encarnate the essence of each character. Nobody will be able to out range them!!!

  • amazing but are they miming

  • No that's pure talent in evey sense!! without the technology they use nowadays. If you use good headphones or connect the sound to a stereo equipment you'll notice it!!! They are amazing!!!

  • @missjinx131 Andrea isn't, but you can tell that the others girls are miming to a recording of their own voices. I think there was a problem with the microphones picking up everything back then if you did not stand in one spot. Robert Preston, who starred in the Music Man, sang his part on Broadway. However, for the Tony Awards, you could tell he was miming to a recording of his own voice singing Trouble.

  • the littlest one is so cute!
