Honestly, Jak 2 was a HUGE part of my childhood, well the whole jak series, but jak 2 in specific, and I really wish they released this for 360, now I know its exculisive and stuff, and I'm not a fanboy, it's just I don't own a ps3 and I'm not ready to go buy one just to get this one game, but if anyone is out there trying to decide if they want this game, I HIGHLY recommend it.
doesn't Xbox360 only do upscaled for 720p,1080p.? i think it's sort of pricey or hard to do native 1080p on these kind of systems, PS3 does alot of Natives 720p and some 1080p but im guessing for that reason is cause the hardware was at the young age of the HD, now became this big thing now. by guess the WiiU can do native 1080p no problem cause it can produce that kind of image easier cause the hardware is new.
Just finished getting platinum for first one now part two is next (warning) getting the precursor orbs are a pain and I'm pretty sure I'll have to get them for other two oh well

Wont stop me from getting it, but its an HD collection of PS2 games FOR PS3 which is supposed to have a 40 times more powerful cpu than the ps2, with multiple times more ram and a pretty awesome GPU for its time. (2006 = six years after ps2)
3D and 60FPS is nice but I think the ps3 would be able to handle it with some AA and at 1080p as well.
@REVLEX321 The Ps3 isn't true HD, you can't expect it to run in true 1080p. Some games ran in upscaled 1080p but never in Native 1080p. If you want true HD buy A PC or Wii U

@REVLEX321 Think about the limitations. First, the PS3 can't run native 1080p while still having good graphics. 720p @ 60FPS is actually pretty good for PS3. Second, they don't have enough time to make the graphics as good as other games. They had less time than what the PS2 versions took, and they had to make it for PS3. The worlds are huge, so obviously they can't improve much within the time period they had.

@re4thewin They actually don't run at native 1080p (Ok, wipeout HD sometimes does) but they are actually upscaled from a lower resolution and displayed at 1080p. You can do that same thing with this game, if you uncheck everything except 1080p at the display settings.
WHAT limitations? they could make it 1080p, Its just to change a very few lines of codes at worst.
You see these are ps2 games, they are by no means technically good graphics anymore, they have made them better by changing lighting and a few effects and making the textures sharper, but its still pretty much the same as before.
Adding AA and make it run at 1080p60fps shouldnt be difficult, there is plenty of power to do that, its not like trying to get Uncharted 3 to run at 1080p.
@AssasinsCreedBlog nope - the blu-ray disc can hold more than 25GB - Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception was a total of 50GB and apparently the PS3 blu-ray still has a little more room left after that. God Of War III was 34GB and Uncharted 2: Among Theives was 27GB :)
@REVLEX321 Few lines of codes? You do realize they'd have to change the whole engine to make it 1080p, and it would be a lot harder for them to do it. (I'm talking about native 1080p. Upscaled 1080p can be done with this game.)
Also, remember they have TIME as a limitation. They can't make the games look good, their team is too small and the games are HUGE.

I agree. It would have been cool if they put the racing game on it, too. Both my copies have that save glitch, and I don't want to take a chance on having permanent corrupted data on my PS3, so I haven't played it on it. :(

I agree. It would have been cool if they put the racing game on it, too. Both my copies have that save glitch, and I don't want to take a chance on having permanent corrupted data on my PS3, so I haven't played it on it. :(
Still, I'm excited for this. I'm hearing about a ton of these HD packs coming out for different games. :)
