i like all the off road versions but i had the crf450x and the valves dont last for shit,ive heard the kawis race model is fairly high maintenance,how bout the trail version?id go with a ktm300xc or the2010 suzuki rm-x450

@XXRichieXXrichXX there still reliable bikes, just are known to have track records that arent as great as todays jap bikes. the new KTM's are pretty much to the same standard as jap bike but husqvarnas, husabergs etc have been plagued with reliability issues before. although there are japanese bikes that have shared bad relibility records aswell

punkenduros right, the only current american dirtbike maker is ATK, but there have been many before. hell even harley has made some (altho they were huge peices of shit)

pretty much it's up to whether you want a green or red bike.. i've been using honda bikes all my motocross life (5 years) and they are very reliable. never been disappointed with honda but i wouldn't know about other bikes. meh.. to me they're all the same shit. just get a bike and you'll have a ton of fun no matter what

my friend just bought a 2008 crf250r and my 07 kx250f absolutely blows it away and i havnt had one problem since i bought it brand new.. his bike overheats and makes clunk noises and hes only had it for 4 days! i would get a kawasaki
