  • well, im not a real artist im just wondering why the pencil first?? does it help that much with the shading?? why not just use paints?? thanks

  • @crosspecans I do paintings that are only paint also. I love colored pencils though & it's fun to play around with mixing the two. You get different looks with different mediums. I really love doing pencils on this type of paper. It blends so well. I do it a lot in my art journal as well. When I work on canvas It almost always just acrylic paints. -Megan

  • @mycreativebliss are prisma pencils worth the money?? are they that much better than school suppy color pencils?

  • @crosspecans they are so much better! they are thick & waxy so you can really blend the colors well. You can build up the colors really thick on top of eachother. They are nothing like cheap school supply pencils. If you want to give them a try there are a lot of art supply stores that sell the colors individually. The sets are awesome but you spend a lot of $ for them. Not a bad deal if you use them a lot. -Megan

  • You are amazingly talented! I hope you teach someday. Thank you for the details on the brushes, I am always looking for good brushes.

  • AMAZING!!! Love all your vids!

  • the prisma colored pencils I used are:

peach, lt peach, cream, white, yellow ochre, black, rose, magenta, tuscan red

    then Golden fluid acrylics colors:

titanium white, carbon black, naphthol red medium

    thanks everyone for watching!

BTW....the original is available in my etsy shop: mycreativebliss :) -Megan

  • great video! what is the base color you begin coloring with?

  • This is soooo perfect !

    TFS XOXO

  • thanks everyone :) for eye lashes I used #0 round trick is to add a drop of golden fluid release to the paint. makes is very fluid without watering down. adding water to the paint will make it bead on top of the prisma colored pencils instead of flow & stick to it. for hair details I used that same brush & #4 round. -Megan
