Gotta love them, "My custom arcade cabinet" even though everything except for the stickers and software was premade. Personally I'm disgusted by the structural design and I don't get why people want to buy it at such a high price.
@oyama82 Hi Oyama. Yes, I'm aware that a CRT TV will do the trick (with either soft15khz or an arcadevga), but still, when you've tried a real arcade monitor then you won't go "back" to a TV. An arcade monitor is a lot more authentic. :) I was going to have balltops for the joysticks, but Ultimarc didn't have them in stock by the time. Thanks for the feedback!
@joystickdotnet My friend thats what I tell you, with a crt tv and proper installation of soft15khz+cable,you dont just do the trick but make your tv a real arcade monitor(actually arcade monitors are tvs without tuners)but anyway its up to you.
Also, dont just rely on ultimarc, there are more other vendors which have bigger collection of arcade parts and are much cheaper.
@Pandabearmadness Show me a shop that sells them and I will go buy them (not 2nd hand). If it wasn't for ROM extractions a lot of great, classic games would have been forgotten and eliminated. Original carts only last that long..
I`m sure you spent a ton of cash and time but this is trully inspiryng! I would have went with a lcd screen and it would be it! You however went for a real cade monitor and bought that ripp off of a graphics card! I take my hat out for you sir! You`re one commited person:)!
man u lucky u got super mario world on there street fighter alpha 3 and even pinball on there still congrats on making this must've took u alot of countless hours and all that
Question for you, What kind of speaker covers do you have? I have a cabinet from Mameroom too did you just cut out the speaker slits they had and put your own in? Or are those just mounted covers?
@GloryDaysBartop Any recommendations on where to get speaker covers like that? I can't seem to find any online unless I'm looking for the wrong type of thing.
Fantastisk jobb! Arcade maskinen ser jo helt rå ut! Du har seriøst peiling på dette! Hvor mye tar du i timen for å lage en til meg? hehe! Dæven nå er jeg misunnelig gitt!
Sweet cabinet. I have been wanting to build one of these for months. About how much did you invest in your cab? This stuff is inspiring....and such a source of envy!
Thanks a lot! Well, this one cost me plenty, as lots of the hardware had to be imported from USA etc. I live in Norway, so the shipping costs are huge (especially for the heavy arcade monitor). I think it was worth it though. :)
Hey man was up qith that big bar line keep going up an down the screen? I hope the monter does not do that on normally? Cause iwas going to buy one so let me no man!!
:) That's only in the video. The reason you see that flickering is because the video is recorded in a different refresh rate than what the monitor is showing. CRT monitors always flicker on video.
I can ensure you that the arcade monitor is crystal clear without any flickering what so ever. :)
Very nice job. Thanks for sharing

really awesome cab(and music!)
but why you decided to bring a real arcade monitor?we europeans have rgb scart tvs which can do the trick(soft15khz+vga to scart cable)
didnt you know that?
also for the 4way joystick in the centre you should change its handle to balltop to be more original
no offence,I really like your cab anyway :)
