Wow, this song relates so much to what I've been going through. The chorus perfectly describes what my interactions with God and I were like. I was praising Him and thanking Him for every blessing he bestowed upon me, but at the same time I continually thought I was unworthy of His blessing of eternal life. I actually closed off a prayer once with the words "I deserve to burn." I thought I was talking to God, but now I'm wondering which god was influencing me.
