Great car, my mom has a 1998 Nissan Sentra gxe model w/ 164k, still runs strong, front & back lights still work from factory. Once I get my license this year, the car is mine.
id buy that car.i think this was the last good sentra in my opinion. my cousin had one same trim but before the restyle, it was a good little car. she got rid of it before i was able to drive, if she still had it, i wouldve gladly taken it as a hand-me-down.
its a sentra!!! love the sentra its a long lasting reliable car. I still own mine. its a 93 sentra with 145,000 miles runs like new. The problem i have had with it was the alternator. I replaced it and it was good to go
i was wondering, and i have looked at all of your videos could you do a video on a 1995 to 1997 toyota land cruiser. or if you find maybe a 1991 to 1994 that would do too. pls, thank you.
@hondarox6775 yeah v6 run great but the 2.4 4 cylinder runs like crap trust me i drive for 30 min and burn half a tank plus it always has trouble starting and it has low mileage and very well cared for
to get an idea of how awesome that little Hyundai Accent was, I bought it in 2004 from my uncle with 112K miles. My uncle bought it new in 96 and never ever gave it an oil change. I had to get the engine and transmission flushed out and gave it a complete tune up. After then, it ran like brand new and lasted me another 5 years without a problem before selling it.
When I was in college I had a choice between a 98 Nissan Sentra and a 96 Hyundai Accent. I ended up going with the Accent in the end only because it was stickshift and I wanted to learn how to drive stick. However, I managed to experience first hand how owning a Hyundai was like. And man, that little car was one of the best cars I ever had. Never disappointed.
The 99 gxe was my first car. Through two 12s in it and a fart muffler. Loved it till I blew the engine and got an 04 model a year later lol. Then realized I needed more space for my DJ equipment and bought a brand new 2005 altima which I still have.
these 1.6 engines are abdolutely indestructable! i have a 99 altima and its great. i wish nissan didnt screw up their almost perfect reputation in 2002 and 2003
@920gamez limited means a limit of cars made, like 100, which are loaded with premium packages and an a additional package which could be paint, bigger wheels,tv screens etc. this sentra is loaded and i think the blue paint is limited.
base model V limited is way different, hope i helped.
@Hackiesacker007 if you want a sedan that's comfortable and luxurious, get the camry. If you want a car that's a little more on the sporty side, get the altima. As far as reliability goes, both are about the same. You may be able to score a camry for a slightly better deal considering Toyota is doing everything they can to rebuild their brand image.
@92ASC Thanks, I think may go for the Camry, because my old car is a 1997 Toyota Camry LE and I found it to be very reliable. Despite all the recalls, doesn't Toyota still have a very strong and appealing image?
@Hackiesacker007 I mean, toyota still has a strong following. And even with all the recalls, their customer loyalty and satisfaction is still pretty high. I personally drive a 2002 Camry XLE and I love it. Granted, it's not the most exciting thing to drive, but as a comfortable daily commuter, it's a damn good car.
@92ASC haha nice, I hear ya. Do you mind if I ask, do you drive the V6 model? If so, is it smooth? I drive a 1997 Camry LE, 4-cyl, and its not very smooth, but that may be just because of the suspension or the fact that the car is now 13 years old, right?
@Hackiesacker007 ha I wish I had the V6. Mine is the 2.4L 4 banger. I will say that while it's not a V6, it's still pretty damn smooth tho and provides adequate power. Your camry has the 2.2L 4cyl so even if you do get a 4 banger you will still see a noticeable increase in power. Yours is around 130HP, the 2002-2009 models have 158HP, and the 2010+ models have the 2.5L which puts out 169HP. However, if I were getting a new camry Id get the 3.5L V6 because it puts out 268HP and still gets 25+ mpg
@92ASC Thanks for all that info!, The V6 is incredibly efficient. I know the Lexus ES 350 is based on the Camry, and that car requires premium gas, while the Camry can run on regular.
Sweet Sentra, it has an SR20DE which is very hard to come by and extremely reliable. The only thing missing is a manual transmission. I would buy it if it was closer to me.
@FordNissanChevy You base that on what? I had a 97 Sentra GXE with a 195k miles and the only thing that ever broke was the A/C, and that was after 190k miles of use. And I still see tons of these cars around, so it wasn't just an exception.
Love the Sentra. Way back in the 1990's when we had it my brother and I thought that CD player it had was the shit, and that we would get girls because of it lol
ive got the stock 99 my tach doesnt go up to 9000 lol
