Wow. You should check out a channel on here. The guy calls himself "Viperkeeper." He has many Pit Vipers and he handles them, feeds them and waters them with water bottles. Of course, he has his own method and is very educated about snakes. This was interesting as I have never seen one eat a live mouse on video. That tank you have is very cool. I like how it is all glass with no plastic edging like in the US.
this isn't cruel, it's nature. The cruel part is him keepin animals in the first place. Who needs a snake? what the fuck do you do with it? can't play with it, can't handle it. Pointless. It's like have $100 bills in a safe you don't have the combination for.
@Scotty2DopeMB Agreed - I don't keep snakes long-term, just long enough to get some good photos, videos, and hopefully some video of them eating. Then I let them go - usually where I found them.
LMAO: To the gecko clinging for dear life lest it come out of the bottle and be poisoned to death and then eaten: "What are you, nuts?"
I think this is the scariest snake video online: I would *hope* that a snake's owner exercises as close to absolute control over every controllable aspect of handling a hot snake. This would be especially important when handling the snake's food item. Food is the one thing I would never scrimp on.
its really sad how you "keep" her..in that piece of shit tank with no heat source and a jagged edged plasic bottle for water?? Some tore up news paper and a handful of substrate...can you imagine the stress you are putting her in??? Good lord man..You have balls to keep her but your set up sucks
Im guessing the effect of venom or how long it takes for it to move through the veins really depends on the movement of the animal or person and how much they weigh correct? But that is one beautiful snake.
lol, when the snake swallowed the hamster and his mouth was wide open, it looked like he was surprised. "OMG, you were filming me eating my lunch?!" lol.
dude your awsome, don't let people tell you it is CRUEL it is not it is nature at it's FINEST by the way my friend has two snakes and they get hungry and need to eat every WEEK just so you know... loved the footage if you can get your hands on a spitting cobra that would make awsome footage
@megatron981 Well, I have a friend that was snake hunting and came upon a spitting cobra in the rainforest and he had his eye spit in! Gotta find that video, it's short and sweet. He rinsed it with water immediately and went to the hospital and he's fine. Said it burned a LOT. Look through my subscriptions on my home page and he's called "thekiller" with some asterisks or something. Check out his video. Great video. So glad they got that on film.
@thaipulsedotcom I got bite right on the the foot, and we had to prize the snake offf me from the bite, the snake was a eastern rattlesnake, and i didnt even have to go to the DR
People... fans, and loved ones... this snake does not eat TACOS she eats these russian hamster things - as someone called it. What do I know? I give it what it eats. Is that wrong?
@twiikimchi There are lots of animals in Thailand - I'm waiting for rainy season - I'll put a sign up in Thai around where I live and tell people I'll get their snakes out of their house - AND pay them something for them!
dude thats such bull shit. snakes are definitely not fun pets to have and then you give it mice and stuff. I know they eat them anyways but if it is in a cage thats just not fair. Anyways snakes are just evil.. the only thing they know how to do is to kill. They may be beneficial in the natural world, but there is no need in owning one and trapping poor animals in a cage with a snake. Anyways hamsters aren't as common as mice in the wild so it probably would have never even been eaten.
@imGoinGhetto I don't know... life isn't fair for anything. I saw a kid today at a Buddhist temple in Thailand. His nose was split in 2 - horizontally... like someone hit him straight on with an axe. It was a birth defect I'm sure. Was that fair? God doesn't care about fair... sure you might have a real nice life for yourself. Look around at the rest of the people around you - there's a whole lot of 'unfair'. I didn't start this...

@shezCRACKx3 You're good! If you're right... I got it at the pet store - the lady was really happy to sell me 3 of them - until she saw the clear plastic container on the back of the motorbike and this beast moving around in it. She said, NGOO MAI? I said - yeah. She wasn't so happy after that.
@senmingy yeah, uhm... talk to god about it - not me. I didn't set this world up man, I'm just a player like you are... like this snake is... like this Russian hamster thing is. Snakes eat live prey. That's what they do. Whether I give it to her or she finds one in the wild which you never see - what's the difference? The difference is, you see it now and you're confronted with what kind of god makes the world like this? Think on that... great way to pass the time.
great shot never seen a snake eating that close up before, but anyways i can see the venom glands but only like 2 teeth on the botom, i dont know much about snakes but i thought they had like lots of teath
i lolled @ 10mins of gecko no interest seing 5 seconds the mouse boom hap :P it hold the mouse really long and was the mouse big or was the camara so close ? watch that close is intersting :) how did you get the snake bought or lended :S did him/she?
Yeah, that WAS interesting to see how the gecko did NOTHING for her at all... and then when the warm blooded mouse lit up the pits that sense the heat - she struck that mouse quickly from behind. The mouse was only about 4 inches long. Not too big. I am not sure - male/female.
@ajezupk I think the camera was so close it distorted the size of the mouse (hamster someone called it). It was maybe 4 inches long and 2.5 wide or so. These snakes are everywhere. I've caught a couple, and this one I got from a friend.
a warm blooded tidbit is much more appetizing than a cold blooded meal like the gecko . Also like Mike says ,the gecko is a bit alien to the viper as far as normal prey.
Its incredible how fast the venom stopped the heart of the mouse !
it didnt start breathing again, it was indeed dead. thats just rigor mortise.
