  • i hear palmistery by viktor vooten

  • 1:03 - Oh, my sunglasses!

  • what an odd thing to cover. i never would have associated the two... (yes, SP version way better, but great effort)

  • It can only be a world class song if Miles is playing it :-) I've seen him performing this one...way back.

  • I like his hair, image and style... and of course his unbelievable trumpet playin

  • Love the feelgood vibe of this tune. The Scritti original is hard to beat, but I think Miles did it justice with his instrumental covers.

  • Kenny..!!!

  • Orjazzmic

  • Miles does Scriti Politti....right on Miles, props Scrit.

  • awesome!

  • where is mr miller?

  • Miles wanted his music this way, and thats that. Not bad for those times. It was current.

  • @mmlight: Miles Davis also worked with Cameo and other pop acts in the 80s. Though this here is very inferior to "In a Silent Way" and "Bitches Brew" and the Scritti Politti original is just better - it´s always difficult to translate pop into jazz.

  • @MrSKINFLICK Miles made pop music to keep the bills paid and not be called an 'old man' by the new generation. A good effort, but much of this music is dated and won't live on. Most people don't want to buy his 80's period stuff; especially live material.

  • @mmlight naa. he did this stuff because it's freakin awesome

  • @tomgilesmarvoloryley Each to their own.

  • Let's be honest, this isn't Miles at his best.

  • yeah is this better than porgy and bess? no. is this better than bitches brew? no. this deffinetly not his best. great, but not miles.

  • who is the female drummer?

  • hi it's the great Marilyn Mazur. She later played with Eberhard Weber and currently leads one of the best fusion bands in Europe. She's originally American but now lives in Denmark.

  • I'm 'favoriting' this (though I've got the 1988 Munich DVD-set), as it's is the Miles Davis band I saw in Sydney that year.

A truly wonderful concert, Miles-wise. I still think Foley was the 'weakest link' in the band, but history backs this up too.

  • @avs002 I have the Sydney concert on video.

  • i love miles davis!!! and his jacket =]

  • dont forget the punk rock shoes!! :p miles always had style :)

  • i enjoy this song =) is funny

  • Ha ha. I love this. Kerry? Miles? Jazz World is so small:)
