ummm, not to put too fine a point on it, but Childs, although raised in California, was raised by a very upper class New England family, akin to american Brahmins, as it were. An upbringing further reinforced by her choices in colleges. My mother had a similiar up-bringing, and has vestiges same phrasing, diction and yes, accent. Please don't accuse others of a lack of intelligence, or research, regional accents and colloquialisms abound throughout the United states.

So damned refreshing. Julia was so genuine, not worrying all the time about being skinny or dieting. If she wanted butter she used it with no apologies. It's really awesome. What an empowered, no-nonsense woman she was. Girls need more strong role models like her and less of the stupid Bratz doll types.

Seen & LOVE the movie! MS was Super Super Wonderful & should get Awards - she deserves all of them! The 2 husbands in the movies were great too - so understanding & supportive (thats the way they s/b, don't they?). MS did wonderful with "i dooooo" - thats how my french husband says (it cracks me up all the time & i'd imitate him everytime he says it, LOL). Everybody should see this movie: its a Joy, great relaxation! :) Uh, should eat be4 seeing it though ;) YUM!
