  • dude can u tel me 1 thng? -.- is CORE 2 DUO compatible with XFX Motherbord Geforce 8200? n shall 9800gtx can be placed in it ? please Help me bro!

  • why they are not more building the 9800gt?

thats a good cost x benefit card!

  • @Glauberz1

Well it uses older technology, and they want to sell the newer stuff.

The GTX 550 ti is pretty good for sure, but they need to get their lower end cards sorted out.

  • @Usul573

well,i´m sure that in 2008 the 9800 gt card was like a today Gtx card ..

  • @Glauberz1

    More or less I guess.

In November 2006 the 8800GTX was the fastest card on the planet I think, but it was $500, then the 8800GT was released in 2007 and it was $200 and not much slower, so the 8800GT/9800GT is still the most used card for gaming out there I think, and every game on the planet supports it, and some engines haven't changed all that much since 2007.

Ati started doing more damage in 2008 I think.

  • @Usul573

but,why they keep making shit cards like 7200gs and 8400 gs today?

These cards should be forgotten now .. but still on the market, and the 9800GT has a better cost-benefit stopped being manufactured, because logically affect the sales of new generation cards.

  • @Kakashisd

    Eh, they're trying to toss the 6200, 7200, 8400s.

    It's weird for sure.

I get confused by how it works sometimes, but I do like to have the newer stuff no matter what level it is.

  • the Gts 450 isn´t too much powerfull than the good old one 9800 Gt

    thumbs up if you agree

  • Will it work on vista home basic 32 bit with 4gb ram?

  • /watch?v=E30v94Ktymc <--- Battlefield 3 on HIGH no problem 30-40 fps

  • I have a 9800 gt 1gb and 4gbram intel core2duo of course and all the new games like nfs run and assassins creed bf3 all run in full 1080p with no lag

  • HOLY SHIT! 4-5 year old card!!! time flies. i really really loved this card, best card ive had and lasted 4 and a half years!! RIP 9800 but its time for a GTX 560 ti. Merry Christmas :']

makes me sad that XFX is exclusively with ATI =/ XFX are the best looking cards out there imo, and customer service is purely amazing

  • One of the best cards of Nvidia, its not expansive, and is powerfull

  • hey guys,

    i have

    i5 760

    4gb xms3 1600mhz

    9800 gt 512

in BF3,was running smooth but in the mission "going hunting" the 9800gt down-clocks its gpu clock to 300 Mhz and memory clock to 100Mhz and the game minimizes itself and doesn't come to front again, these settings doesn't change until i restart the PC,by settings i mean both the clocks ,initially the overclocking clocks are 700mhz gpu and 900mhz memory. also i had a similar down-clocking problem in "Nfs The RUN", kindly help me in this regard.

  • @fawadbasit it's probably the engine's fault. Both games use Frostbite 2, which is pretty heavy, it requires a gtx 560 to run smoothly. Your card just can't handle it. I have the same one, but with 1 gig vram and I'm going to be switching to a gtx 560 these days.

  • I can play skyrim on a radeon 3650, 2gb ddr ram. P4!!

  • I'm running a Gainward 9800GT with the same clock and core speeds as this one and he's right, it still performs very well. It easily plays just about anything I throw at it and now that the price has dropped a 9800 is a lot of videocard for the money.

  • Hi. I really like those cards. I had an 8800 gt and now i have a gts 450. Actually i find the gts 450 way worse as the 8800 gf . At low resolution is not so bad but at high res the 8800 gt kick his ass by far

  • @MBbrut You could be finding the GTS450 worse because of the bus width. I'm pretty sure that the GTS450 has a narrower 128-bit memory bus, while the 8800GT came with a 256-bit bus.

  • @paulph12002

The GTS 450 has significantly faster GDDR5 memory though, it looks like it's about on par versus the 8800GT/9800GT for bandwidth and overall performance, maybe a bit faster.

The GTX 550 is a decent upgrade over the GTS 450 though.

  • Also, anyone know how much of an upgrade the 560-Ti would be from a 9800-GT? I believe I'm only running on PCI-E 1.0 will upgrade in the future but just wondering if it's worth it even with running on 1.0.

  • I bought this card about 2 years ago except there was one difference, mine didn't have anywhere to hook up a 6-pin connector, it was powered by the mobo. I think this is why it's not very stable when trying to overclock. The card also runs hot and after a couple of years the fan has recently broken down. I'm going to buy a cheap replacement fan hopefully it'll work, 55mm fan diameter 39mm distance between mounting holes is what I think I measured, hope that's right. Card runs skyrim really well.

  • im running two 9800's

  • thank you, and one question, if this video card is suitable for the arma 3 which will coming up soon?

  • and is it me or do many pc gamers defend pc gamers with bad ports? how are they bad ports when they are made on pcs? if it was the other way around you would still slag consoles off. just get with the times and play games on all formats

  • yep i just got one of these.. let me tell you my story.. my old 8800gt pc broke, a few years back, and i fixed it and added a 9800gt just a few days ago as the cpu ram cant be upgraded further... i can run games like l4d dawn of war 2 f1 2011 , you know all currwent gen gamesetc etc very easy, pc gamers make these things out of date because they are obsessed with graphics. this runs better than my ps3 or xbox. pc gaming is a niche market admit it.

  • this runs bf3 just search youtube

  • @mixindave1 yes it does i play with it...

  • tell me please if this card is suitable for the game BATTLEFIELD 3????

  • @ikaklitus777 You'd be lucky if BF3 booted with this PoS.

  • @OutlawLovesNewVegas yea you can play on medium

  • Get an XBOX....

  • @coolpixx12 hahahahahahahahahhahahaahahaahaaahhaaah =)

  • I played minecraft with that graphics card i had 150 fps

  • how good would this be while playing runescape?

  • @CheapGuidesRS

dude i can play runescape on an old ass dell latitude with a 16mb video card and p3

  • can i play cod waw with this

  • @Arabsinc

Sure, could help to get something newer and better though.

  • @Usul573 can you help me i dont want to be an ass but i need your help :p i wont have to turn down the quality of the graphics or anything will i, also say im playing zombies it wont shut off because of too much zombies right?

  • @Arabsinc

Shouldn't crash if there are tons of zombies.

Ideally for the COD games, a GTX 560 1GB or 6870 1GB would be perfect, you can get either around the $170 to $190 range.

Note that your processor and memory should be good also, upgrading PCs is tricky.

  • @Usul573 thx u helped me a ton ill try this btw do u wanna ply cod or sumthin sometime jus got an alienware instead but ill probably still try wat u said on my old cpu (gonna get a GTX 560 1GB or 6870 1GB and a 1tb external hard drive)ur right it is tricky lol :)

  • @Arabsinc

You confused me a bit there.........

I'm not playing games much these days but I still have most of the COD games.

  • Yeah my 9800Gt can run everything without problems on max, my friend is selling a 460 GTX for 100 bucks should I even get it?

Skyrim and BF3 are coming soon?

  • It's the best I can find for the bucks... I have little money to spare to upgrade right now, so I think I'm going to go with it. If anything goes beyond the specs of the card, I got a Ps3 and xbox360 for that same reason. :)

  • @Emanouche

Wait.....you do realize nothing on the planet requires more than a 9800GT right?

  • @Usul573 LOL... well still curious what version the guy used in his vid.

  • @Emanouche

    I'm sorry, what?

  • @Usul573 Woups!! Haha, first time that happened to me, confused my original post with another post. ;) In another vid someone was demoying COD Modern W2, with this card, and I was wondering if he used the 1gb version or the 512mb version. Sorry about the confusion.

  • I just need a huge FPS boost for Skyrim, my computer could barely max out Oblivion.

  • this is e really good video card its a good card for a low budget :)

  • Man this card is olldoldold...

  • this card is great i have had it for around 3 years plays everything 25fps+ on all games, but then it died, and xfx sent me a 5750 which was defective

  • I picked this card up last year used for dirt cheap to upgrade my low priced refurbished dell purchase (Phenom II X4 820), and it works very well. I even played the Crysis 2 demo on my 1080p monitor- but with most graphical extras turned off. It also plays Metro 2033 just fine in base settings.

  • who else is still watching this ?

  • @waseem1173 Me? :3

  • Would this video card work on a 430 watt power supply? The website says 400 but I'm not 100% sure. And no this can't be used on a Laptop. And no you cannot use as an external on a Laptop.

  • @riceaznx i am running this card on a 430w power supply so i would say yes

  • would it work on a laptop

    and would it improve railworks

  • @ThomasMurphy711 you have to by an adapter and your laptop has to have an exturnal pci-e(pm me for a link to the adapter)

  • Can this be used as an external GPU? You know, to speed up gaming on a laptop?

  • @Replican815 Also, was that a noob question?

  • @Replican815 no

  • @Replican815 dude the other dumb asses dont now what they are talking about.... you can but you have to get a very expansive thing (pm me for link to it) and you need to make sure your laptop has an external pci-e port

  • Comment removed

  • I still use this card since 2007 and runs everything smooth

  • will it fit inside a hp windows 7 premium desktop server?

  • I have a 18,5 inch monitor. The 512 mb of memory is enough to function properly?

  • might have to upgrade from my peice of crap 8500 gt

  • pff... my 100 years old 9600GT overcloked runs crysis, crysis 2, HL2, Mafia 2, allmost all games maxed out at 1360x768 resolution...

  • @lazydany1

Everything works on a standard 9800GT.

    EVERYTHING.

  • @lazydany1 you can

  • I am a noob... i am aware that the 9800gt is a pcie 2.0

    my motherboard has a 1.0

I know it will still work, but to a lower potential.. What is that potential? How much would the 9800 be dumbed down in my 1.0 slot? or am i wrong? :/

  • @Evangelisticana i was going to get the same thing but if you have a Motherboard that is only 1.0 its better to just buy i new motherboard like i am

  • @Evangelisticana Isnt pcie 2.0 backward compatible?

  • @Cookizai YES!! Tested and proven with excellent results

  • will this work with an hp desktop p6203w?

  • i know the answer will probably be no but my motherboard is hp pavilion p6000 series is my motherboard compatible with this graphic card?

  • @OriginalNamesHD if it has a pci express slot then yes. and that's very very likely.

  • @maxproxyDotTK thanks for reply i looked up my model and the motherboard has the expansion slots 1 PCI Express x16 slot for graphics card and 3 PCI Express x1 slots

  • what does it matter what it looks like? it going to be in our computers, out of sight

  • @KreepyWhiteKid BULLSHIT! , you can make it visible by having a case with a class side panel.

  • @KreepyWhiteKid not allways, some like me have a plexeigalss side panel wich you can see through

  • Already, I am looking back on these vids, nostalgically, as classics.

When this vid first came out, I had a radeon x800 and I really wanted a 8800 or 9800. I eventually went with the 4850, later 4870 and now a 5850.

    What is Albert doing now?

  • @wootlanter Albert? I miss Logan!

  • @wootlanter

I heard he stopped doing this videos and has a career in photography, I could be wrong though.

  • hey i am goin to buy a new pc which graphic card should i buy for it ......9800 gt or gts 250!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!help?!!!please reply quick

  • AMD Radeon HD5750 1024MB

    Nvidia GeForce GTS450 1024MB GDDR5 Ram

Nvidia DeForce 9800GT -The one obviously older that the one you got there thought

I am sure its one of the first thats best, but i would like to know if its much?

What gives the best performance? Please :-)

  • @MasterFuglsang And i am into the newest games, i know its a old video, and those graphic cards might even do it, but what do the best? Thank you! :)

  • @MasterFuglsang I have a gts 450 got it for $95 and i can get 40-60 FPS on BFBC2 with all high settings on a 1680x1050 monitor, i say its a pretty good card, also with overclocking i got it to outperform a 5770

  • @pyrofreak130 Ah, thats pretty neat, thanks for replying! :)

  • @MasterFuglsang

5750 and GTS 450 are mostly a tie.

  • This guy is cool. The new guy sucks.

  • @m1up This is the new guy to me... I miss the old old guy... he was the best :(

  • @lSeKToRl

The real old guy was the best. That new, new guy sucks the big one.

  • how come i dont have the 6 pin power connector? 0.o

  • can this game run the sims 3.

  • @thewewguy8t88 yes! and all other games you can think of

  • @thewewguy8t88 yea u can im playing sims 3 without card its wroking perfect my card is causiing some problems :(

  • @demonicipod the 1gb version would work fine

  • I used this as a physx dedicated card for a while.

  • will it run good on gta iv

  • @demonicipod yes i get 30-60 fps in gta 4 everything max but view distance is on 30 because of memory shortage.....

  • i got this card on my 19" monitor and i play crisis 2 and crysis MAX no problem 60 fps :)

  • @TheNewNitrok7

60 FPS is the most shittiest shit

you should have 100 maximum and 60 minimum

  • @xVolken

its enough of 30 fps for most games except some FPS shooters

  • @xVolken

You're a pretty big dumbass for expecting those kind of rates from a three year old Card that was Mid-Range when it came out.

  • @xVolken

    60 is good ignorant fool.

  • Would the 9200 nvidia geforce graphic card work well with just runescape and a 4g ram 3.1GHz prossesor and 1tb hardrive?

  • @coolstar10

    There is no 9200.

  • @coolstar10 go trolol somewere elce,

    yes durka durka

  • @coolstar10 nope. runescape is more taxing than crysis 2, so its not gonna work. especially with your 3.1ghz pentium 4 :P

  • is this a good upgrade from a geforce 8400 gt???

  • @sciman001

    HUUUGE

  • @sciman001 this will be ultimate upgrade from 8400GT !

  • @sciman001

    OVER 9000!!!!!!!

  • can i use this on pci-e 1.0 n i mean on full speed/potential

i heard it will help this card's preformance;bottleneck

so,is it wise to get gt 240 ddr5 or tis 1?

    Tq 4 review n +help soon

  • Where can you buy this?

    I really need it plz..

    Plz Reply

I really wanna play Call of Duty 6 Modern Warfare 2

And if you guys have time then plz send me an like with the Dell Reparation

    Thx alot

  • @MrTakemeawaynow

Yeah, your computer can handle the 9800gt.

  • @pijef ok thanks

  • will that work on ddr2 ram motherboards, coz i have a ddr2 and i heard that its ddr3

  • @julian23561 of course your gpu could have ddr5 and still work with ddr1 the graphics card has its own memory controller and will not interfere with your motherboard memory

  • @decimat777 thanks man.

  • @julian23561 no

  • Wich is the Difference between 9800 GT and 9800 GTX+

  • @ElBribri

Think of the 9800 GTX+ as an upgraded 9800 GT.

  • @Usul573 I already think of it as an upgraded 9800GT, but again, what specs make the difference between the two?

  • @ElBribri

    You asked for it.

9800GT is a 112x56x16 core, and clock speeds are 600/1500/1800

9800GTX+ is a 128x64x16 core, and clock speeds are 738/1836/2200

At least for the most "standard" version of the cards. The GTS 250 is basically a 9800GTX+ also. Still a good card, not DX11 though.

  • @Usul573 Thank You

  • @Usul573

The GTS250 is anyway not really powerful to utilize Dx11 in the first place...

If ur gonna play Dx11 atleast a GTX275 is recommended...

  • @Anitrex4Anitrex

    GTS 250 and GTX 275 don't have DX11.

  • @Usul573

    Ohh,,Srry my fault!!

  • A beast of a card back in the day. But now its sad :( haha

  • @Airwaves117

Old girl will never die though, no game on the planet doesn't support it, I don't think any game will need more than a 9800GT for.....forever.....maybe.

  • @Usul573

Not really,,,if your playing High Def(1920*1080) like most people are then it scrappes the edges around a few games....

For example in Mafia 2 you have to disable AgeiaPhysix and Anti-Aliasing to getting decent frames...

And in games like Crysis,, Crysis Warhead and the latest sequel(Beta Leaked Version) ,,,,the settings need to be cranked down a bit probably to mid if ur gonna play full high def....

But yes i do agree anything below full HD and u'll be able to crank it all the way!!

  • @Anitrex4Anitrex

    You lost me.

  • @Usul573

I Assume you are not the tech kind of guy... :-p

  • @Anitrex4Anitrex

Well, I am, but I'm not sure which comment of mine you were replying to.

You started out by saying "not really"

And I'm like, not really what?

  • pcie 16x

    300 W PSU

    Will dat cut it ?

  • does it support windows 7?

  • @aliawesome12fab yes i own one XD

  • get logan back!

  • i have the GeForce 9500 GT video card!

so if i buy a GeForce 9800 GT video card, will it work?

and what about the power?, will the power be enough for the card to run?

  • @zejdkoco1

what power supply u got. i have a 9800GT and i have a 450Watt power suppl, and it works with it.

  • @zejdkoco1 From geforce 9500 to 9800 is a huge improvement trust me.

  • Is there an easy way to learn how to build your own computer? I mean at the moment I'm still in highschool, but I'd like to understand how everything works. I have some free time comming up after school, so anything you guys know please let me know. Thanks for the help.

  • @zenith110

Could buy a barebones PC and it'll come with everything to put together a decent gaming PC by yourself, instructions and such. $500 usually.

  • @zenith110

Mmm the easiest way wud be to just open up yur cabinet and see everythin for yurself.. Rlly its much simpler than it sounds..

And if yu get into any sorta trouble o anything like tht .. Yu will find yur anwswers online ..

  • @zenith110

Mmm the easiest way wud be to just open up yur cabinet and see everythin for yurself.. Rlly its much simpler than it sounds..

  • @zenith110

    Motherboard-Main

On it u have the CPU and the GPU...

    Then there's the RAM...

Put these things together with a PSU and u hav a PC...

Now in order to learn how to do it try surfing youtube for

    "Tutorials On Assembling PC"

    Hope This Helps...

But remember you might not get it right the first time...i actually shorted out my motherboard the first time in tried doing it(Had connected the wrong power cords :-p)

So try doing it with relatively inexpensive parts the first time you do it!!

  • Is this the same as the ''paltik'' version ?? I'm confused

  • dammit nvm i asked what the wattage was before i finished the vid 450

  • how many watt does this card need like 350 ? dont know

  • It's over 9000!

  • @MHGenesis

    Lmao

  • 450W is required? bullshit! I run an overclocked GTS250 on a 400W generic brand. and its working fine.

  • I too have a geforce 9800 gt. But I cant play Starcraft 2 on it with high resolution, or else I'll lagg my arse off. Whats with that, could somebody plz explain?

  • @Madhofd CPU?

  • @masterchief3k I have an AMD Phenom2 X61095T processor with 2048mb ram. You need more information, please dont hesitate to reply. THx

  • That card suits my needs, hope i can find it!

  • Could this play "Napoleon Total War" on high graphics settings or ultra? and is my Radeon HD 5550 GPU better than this graphics card? Plz respond to this. ;)

  • @xX3PIDEMICXx27 Yes, 9800 GT can easily run Any game in the "Total war" series. It could most definetely playa on high with out any lag. But on Ultra you might just get a tad bit of lag. Radeon HD 5550 GPU is better than this card, not much though. 9800gt Can run new games even though It is outdated, I would recommend getting this card. For the price and how it handles.

  • @pijef

5550 is worse, the 5670 is usually slightly slower than the 9800GT.

  • @Usul573

5550 has more RAM, and higher on every specifications on the 98000GT card making in better.

  • @pijef

More RAM? They both have either 512MB or 1GB, for the most part.

When it comes to specs, the 9800GT has the bandwidth and fillrate advantages, more TMUs and ROPs, very different shaders though that can't be directly compared.

Look up 5550 reviews though it can't match the 9800GT.

  • @Usul573

What are you talking about, because I'm not talking about the 5550, listen.

5670 Has 1GB of RAM, More than the 512mb of he 98000 card.

Half of games on 9800GT will have 30CPU damage. 5670? 12. Shaders on GCD cannot be matched or compared to the 5670 card.

Research 5670 review, 9800GT cannot compare to it .
