  • BADASS of New England!!!!!!!!!

  • cool sequential taillights

  • I can tell that they are shorties huh?shorties are no better then stock manifolds.LTs is where the power is.

  • @YoungerPrice Actually, these are stock manifolds.

  • I missed out on a Caprice 9C1 about a month ago. A guy not too far from me was selling a '95 model with an LT1, was previously a California State Police Detective's car, dark blue color. 73k miles total, 19k were as a police car. This car was BEAUTIFUL! No visible rust anywhere, plus the underside had been undercoated. I swear the thing looked brand new! And the guy was only asking $2900 for it. What happened? Sold within days. I really wanted that car, would've made a great first car for me.

  • I also see you put an Impala SS grill on the car. Did you also change the tail light covers to an older style?

  • @mhtube01 Yup, thats all I did though. Its not an SS clone, I just like that grille better and the older tails go good with the chrome on the trunk lip.

  • @moldymac Yeah they do go well with it if you compare this video to the one you made when you brought the car home. I like the SS grille too. She's looking good!

  • I think you should turn the arms into pinball flippers

  • Sounds pretty cool!! I bet it sounded a lot better in person though but the camera picked it up pretty well. How do you like this car compared to your Caprice 182 wagon?

  • @mhtube01 It did sound a lot more impressive in person. I like driving this one much better, it's much faster and handles better. The 1A2 has a 2.56 open rear end which makes it accelerate a lot slower than this car. Also this car has a rear sway bar which helps with handling. Also I put leather seats in here which makes it a lot more comfortable.

  • @moldymac Ahhh ok. Sounds like a fun car to drive! I've been debating lately whether to get one of these Caprice sedans or a Roadmaster sedan sometime in the future. I love these big old GM cars and have heard great things about both. I'd probably have to drive both to compare them but it has to have an LT1 for sure!!

  • @mhtube01 I like the look of the Caprice better than the Roadmaster sedan, but that is just personal preference. I put limited leather seats from a roadmaster in my caprice so now I have some of the luxury of those cars, the only thing I can't get without a lot of work is the automatic climate control, which would be nice but isn't a big deal.

  • @moldymac Yeah I think I like the look of the Caprice better too. It's more rounded in the front and looks like a real police car with the 9C1 rims. I'd probably have an easier time finding one in decent shape over a Roadmaster because they're getting pretty rare. I've only seen 2 in good shape my entire life but I've seen plenty of Caprices. Once again I can thank the people who beat the crap out of them instead of treating them like the classic, collector's cars they are.

  • @mhtube01 already got you a caprice for your birthday!

  • thats what my grandpas plow truck sounds like all the time lol

  • Sounds fucking awesome!

  • What did you have to weld??

  • soundssort of like the half master!!

  • i might have a 11 horse i could sell u

  • They sound alright.. I had mine open once. I was expecting it to be louder. . The old Caprices sure are bassy straight off the manifolds or headers if equipped.

  • Sounds good. You should take it for a rip down the street and see how it sounds wide open. Take a vid if you do! So you going to get Bob the welder to fix that exhaust leak for you, or are you going to fix it yourself?

  • Its so pretty! leave em open.

  • I thought to myself..."that's gonna be really loud"...

It is, but it sounds really SWEET. Your camera did a good job picking it up.

  • @uxwbill It did come out pretty good, but even still it was much more impressive in person.

  • 9C1 is the police package right? Thats a really nice car. I'd love to have an old Ex-Police car Caprice like that.

  • @WillieWonka928D Yup, 4 wheel disc, HD suspension and brakes. It is what the Impala SS is built off, I refer to it as the poor man's SS.

  • @moldymac Sweet! That thing sounds nice with open headers, kinda like the Daves farm Cheviac haha. I don't see too many older Caprice police cars around here, mainly the 2000s and newer models, and I like the looks of the older ones better. I saw in an older video you said you got that car for $400. That is a steal and a half lol! Man you guys get all kinds of stuff for little or nothing, lucky. Around here everyone wants and arm and a leg for junk lol.

  • sounds cool, hey do u have any 17hp or more hp for sale? if u could tell me that would be great

  • @Brye95 Nope, nothing like that. I'm still looking for one for the LT1K we picked up a while ago.

  • do you mean you had to pull the cats to gut them i just did on my 89 towncar

  • @casebutler No, they may or may not be gutted already (haven't looked in them yet). The welds broke on the flanges and someone at my work offered to weld them for me.
