  • The way the strings are playing is the exact way Jonny Greenwood arranged the strings on the album. White noise.

  • MrJmandog? Thats my psychology tutor :D

  • OH. MY. GOD. ♥

  • :) in loveee with this song! and your version is beautiful!

  • boring

  • she's got such a lovely voice

  • Det var da godt nok en god cover-version.

  • I actually thought to myself at one point, "Wouldn't Bat For Lashes sound nice singing this song?" What a wonderful coincidence!

  • OMG OMG OMG OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG! ! ! ! ! !

  • she did a good job covering one of my favorite radiohead songs.

  • My favourite female artist covers a song of my all time favourite band ... :) I love both Natasha & Thom !

They both have the voice of an angel ! <3

  • Great video.

  • i like this version

  • omg that is so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and what's so wrong with her body language and her hand gestures? so,what you'd rather see is some sullen, passionless cover? at least natasha is doing the song and radiohead alike justice. and btw, seeing as BFL is actually an artist thom yorke admires himself,i'm sure he approves.

  • i am all the days that you used to ignore!!yeah radiohed y natasha

  • wish i was there, love the song, love her... love love love

  • I think this is a lovely cover but remember guys its a cover very rarely are covers suppose to be better then the original, they're more like homages to the originals.

  • unless it's something terribly cheesy like say when goldfrapp did the cover of physical by olivia newton john. aeons better!

  • Plus, it's hard to cover Radiohead. I've never heard a version better than their original.

    This holds its own!

(Pete Kuzma & Bilal doing High & Dry was pretty cool too)

  • well, it sounds beautiful. I'm not going to assume to know what the performer is thinking.

Sometimes greater singers have to work at their stage performance, but that doesn't make them bad musicians.

Vica versa, some "stage performers" are terrible musicians, but are still very popular.....

  • Hmmm, wouldn't say better than the original, but damn good :)

  • i love the original but her voice is more heartbreaking than thom yorkes which fits well for this song

  • @PFGrifter, sir, have you been drinking while writing this comment? Sure, the cover is nice, but I guess no voice in today's music can be a matter of comparison when talking about heartbreaking of Thom Yorke's voice.

    Cool down.

If you don't believe - True Love Waits (live from Brussels, 1995).

    Dankju wel.

  • This is truly amazing but i dont think i can choose between this and the original. But good lord this fantastic...maybe this is better than radiohead's.

  • better than original

  • @cataro0823 hahahah... not. she's great but this cover is not better than original.

  • the best song of in rainbows ! great version too !

  • Gorgeous strings.

  • no Cover is made to be better than the original. This comparison is so immature.

  • Good, but not as good as the original.

  • radiohead fan offers a brief list of covers that are better than the original:

All Along The Watchtower - Hendrix

    Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley

    Red, Red Wine - UB40

Girl You'll Be A Woman Soon - Urge Overkill

    Higher Ground - RHCP

    Landslide - Smashing Pumpkins

    this

  • @DTreo79 disagree about hallelujah, but the others i have no problem with. Jeff Buckley's cover is perfect, but so is Cohen's.

  • Saw them in Ireland in 2008 - Totally awesome band!

  • Saw her 8 times already. Too bad she didn't cover any radiohead song at the time ;-)

  • My favorite voice in music today. Absolutely gorgeous.

  • nice. But 's got nothing on the original.

    but VERY nice.

  • I agree. This girl seems like just for show, image.

  • Are you saying FierceSwitters this is just a superficial take on the song; merely a pose or failed attempt to get some of the mighty Radiohead's glamour to rub off on her? Well IMAO she delivers a profoundly moving, brilliant & beautiful cover here. Plus Thom Yorke's opinion should count for something in recognising BFL's quality: he wrote a rave review of her 1st album, and got her to support Radiohead on tour 2 years ago. Coldplay are lucky to have her supporting them in S America right now.

  • No, I'm talking about her hand movement and her overall exaggeration of performance. It's not just that she's singing the song but she is completely aware that she is singing the song in front of people that she knows she has to look "cool" but T. Yorke has become an ass,

  • Thanks for sharing your opinion. Would you mind kindly explaining how Thom Yorke became an ass (which suggests you didn't always consider him to be one)? Much obliged. BTW You and I probably won't see eye to eye on this, but I'll try to respect your right to express your POV if you can try doing the same for those who don't necessarily share yours (bearing in mind that if you comment negatively on a BFL vid you can hardly be surprised if her fans - such as me - rally to her support).

  • @FierceSwitters Don't be dumb. Why do you care what she is doing on the stage? I don't generally care what the artist is doing, as long as they can maintain their singing well, which she just so happens to do. Cage the Elephant's singer can't do that.

    T. Yorke has the right to be an ass; he writes brilliant, revolutionary music.

  • beauuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful

  • This was really really impressive, but so was the rest of the set: such a good gig, and the string quartet section was immense...

And all in Bexhill too. Who'd have thought.

  • Lovely.

  • Amazing

  • flawless.

  • AH SO GOOD. Brilliant.
