Obama talks about the economy in a way that says we have to do something. But when he says "we," he means the government. And the government isn't a help to jobs and the economic faulure. The government is mostly responsible. And they've made it worse.

I'm in the military and I was told by my command that I would be threatened with non-judicial punishment unless I withdrew from the whole process. The rules had changed in January 2008- right was this was happening. What's even more ironic is Ron Paul received more military donations to his campaign than any other candidate.
That's disheartening to hear that zeek. I'd expect the military to greatly respect the American election process. I've read many of the excellent comments here. I suggest there is still 'strength in numbers'. If only 100 million people will just simply boycott income taxation legally, it will force OUR worthless government to pay attention to us.
They cannot declare martial law yet because they don't have enough troops in our country.
1.File a W-2 EXEMPT, and then
2. REVOCATE ALL PREVIOUSLY FILED TAXE FORMS, and then
3. CHALLENGE THE JURISDICTION OF THE I.R.S. based on Common Law/Constitutional Law.

He has consistently voted against every un-constitutional piece of legislation, with the exeption of going into Afghanistan on which he implictly said he wanted our guys to go into there to get Al-Quada and leave. zeek796456. Just thought you might want to look up the WAR DEPARTMENT Training Manuel, TM No. 2000-25. WASHINGTON, November 30, 1928. Great reading. It was pulled in 1933 by the FDR white house and ordered destroyed. I guess they didnt want American Servicemen (or Women) to know what being an American actually meant. I wish I had known about this when I went into the Army in 1965. It should still be mandatory reading for all the Services.

non-judicial punishment is what we call going to "captain's mast" in the military, punished according to a violation of an article in the UCMJ (uniform code of military justice)- it usually entails reduction in rank, half months pay for a given amount of time, or restriction. You are sentenced by the commanding officer- does not involve an official court proceeding such as a court martial.

I became a delegate in my local precinct for Ron Paul in Washington state this past election cycle. I'm in the military and I was told by my command that I would be threatened with non-judicial punishment unless I withdrew from the whole process. The rules had changed in January 2008- right was this was happening. What's even more ironic is Ron Paul received more military donations to his campaign than any other candidate.

But when you say that you were threatened with"non-judicial punishment", what exactly does that mean in the military? Does that mean that you would be ostracized? or something other than that?
Btw, I'm happy to hear that you care enough about your country to not only have served in the military, but also to go above and beyond the call of duty to become a presidential delegate.

Thats deeply disturbing and really confirms my fears that our military leadership will just follow orders from superiors without giving a thought to civil liberties or morality. If they only knew history, they would understand that "following orders" is not a legitimate excuse for inexcusable behavior. ie: the Nuremberg trials.

Middle of the night bill passage. They don't read the bill they're signing. Fear-mongering galore (if you don't pass this bill, the world will end). The House & Senate leadership (Pelosi, Reid) tell members that they MUST vote for the bill. The Congress sheepishly acquieses. Sounds like yet another railroading of bad legislation through Congress. Just like the USA Patriot Act of 2001.

C4L is looking a lot more professional in their video! Obviously some issues w/ the wind that need to be worked out. I doubt that the lavalier mic was picking up all that wind, it was probably the shotgun mic on the camera. Maybe just shoot with one channel is there is wind? Anyway, looking better! It's things like this that make me absolutely disgusted to be an American. As an example to the utter stupidity I faced during election time, I couldn't get any but three of my friends to drop their party loyalty and just listen to what was going on. You better believe they are listening now, as they see yet another president flush our country further down the drain. This "stimulus" package is truly pathetic and the mere idea of government influence stimulating the economy is laughable.
