Your not going to believe this, but I submitted the idea of a light bulb with wings to a hydro logo design contest when I was 6. They got my mom to sign a release, gave me a t-shirt (which I thought was a huge score), and then got a professional designer to finalize the concept. I guess that person was Mike Lester.....

I live in Ohio and I remember in Elementary school when "Louie" came to or school. He was the only mascot that we kids didn't beat up or throw trash at or make fun of. Man I used to love all his song. He broke out the harmonica man the bug had style. Get down Louie, get down!

I have been looking for this commercial for a LONG TIME! Thanx for posting it. I remember this commercial so vividly. I loved the ending where he ad libs and starts singing "YES YOU'VE GOT TO PLAY IT SAFE, AROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO­OOOOOOOOOUND" That part is cut out of this video, but he does it at the end. LOL

This is awsome...haven't seen in years. Southern Company began running the spots again in Alabama and as a Southern Nuclear employee I emailed the head of advertising and told her that they should begin running these ad's again..they are so catchy!
