  • omg i totally remember masturbating to this

  • She has nice legs.

  • <3

  • I watched this movie last night..... it reminded me of how much I love Jose. I've been practically obsessing over him-- to a slightly greater extent than the other two Caballeros, as it's impossible to get him seperate from Donald and Panchito. But still.... y'know, I blame it all on the samba.

  • God, I live Jose :D

  • I'm Brazilian. Unfortunetly my country is not anymore as showed in the movie. I live in São Paulo, and Brasil is passing trough an awful time. Here we have afraid of going out even in daytime, because there is many poor people in the street, and many of then are druged and may stil, kidnnap or even kill us. Our politicians are all corrupted, they still a great amount of money. We have the highest import taxes. Since our late president, Lula, stayed at the govern, we started to live real bad.

  • why does this sound better than some of the music of today??

  • presumptuous clichés and the lack of caution with the culture they're supposed to approach friendly. this is always a problem.

  • Today we hitch our wagon to Israel, at the UN. All these past concerns seem so quaint by comparison. We once led the world, but who we chose to lead us left us wanting...

  • Thanks for bringing back my childhood :D

  • I don´t think he would peck here..... Unless joão deixasse. Of course Joe would............ check out real samba and couch surfing then come to Brasil. some quick links (of course the first is mine):

  • When i saw "blame it on samba" I though "that's a nice excuse" but It´s only a cartoon. I´ll go to work at lunch Zé and José and Carioca and me João Carioca ( the name translated at the foot of the letter ( hope a smart person from Brasil read this, if not maybe a dumb one)) and that is it. Woody the wood Pecker?

  • seriously, I see that a video made with old stereotypes for old political purposes can really mean something after all. Im saying that because samba really does that to people. That girl ( seriously I adore her) is not eve born in Brasil.

  • @willowmagrini I agree with you, you would like to read Giroux...

  • This video is so cute! Panchito and Jose should be back for more cartoons... but instead of House of Mouse (where they made Jose Mexican), they should keep him Brazilian!!!

  • I remember watching this when i was a tot ^-^

  • 2:30 IMMM TRIPPPING BALLLLSSSS~~

    :D

  • How sad that the current generation of kids would 1) never recognize this cartoon as being Disney 2) probably not recognize the Three Caballeros, period 3) some may not even know who Donald Duck is.

  • @hardcharging Whatever. Donald Duck is a character, not a moral truth. Why should one generation's cultural icons be held superior to another?

  • @bobbobato Why not? At least cartoons from this time period were actually worth watching. God knows today's cartoons are anything but!

  • @hardcharging They're going to say the same thing on videos of Spongebob about thirty years from now....

  • @SlakyCampa we'll see...

  • i just love the very first song xD

  • Ethel Smith looking very attractive all dolled up and playing the pedals in heels. She was a great promotional tool for the Hammond Organ.

  • 24 people got their piano blown up by the araquan

  • In Brazil, Samba is other thing...

    comes at Carnival time ...

  • @gabilovercrepusculo1 Não é não, você que não conhece as raízes da nossa música.

  • that cartton its from year?

  • Comment removed

  • they dont make cartoons with cigars and alhohol coctail those dayzzzzzzzz

  • @piotrekkogut that's good... becuase ont hat time, kids wanted to smoke loool

  • As opposed to the Jackson 5's "Blame it on the Boogie?" *snicker* Sorry, couldn't help myself.

  • This was always my favorite scene from this movie!

  • MARVELLOUS!!

  • the parrot is the only person in disney cartoon history to die of lung cancer#fact

  • Lyrics at 4:31:

  • calm down, teacher. i just gave the correct information about the music.

  • the name of the song is "Tico-tico no fubá" by Zequinha de Abreu. and it's not a samba. it's a choro. but we here in Buenos Aires don't care about this kind of mistake.

  • @flaviocvalente66 I agree Tico Tico is good anyway you hear it.

  • @flaviocvalente66 You know, Walt Disney made this cartoon, along with the rest of this movie as a rebuttle to the Roosevelt/Latin American "Good Neighbor Policy". I don't think his intention was to target Latin Americans and share his knowledge of the South American culture. It was used to educate Americans about the relationship between The United States and Latin America coming out of the Great depression and the cultural influence. Oh, but we American's don't care about your mistake.

  • @ralphyy1234 I actually just read about that on "Born In Blood & Fire: A Concise History Of Latin America- by John Charles Chasteen". He talks about the events that led up to the "Good Neighbor Policy" and how in 1933, during the seventh congress of the Pan American Movement, FDR's representatives publicly swore off military intervention in Mexico and stated that Cuba and Panama were no longer "protectorates". A landmark achievment of US and Latino America relations up to that point.

  • @usdgreen Yes! That's the exact book I had in mind when I was making my comment. Good words.

  • remember wathching this when i was little and now its a trip watching it high! lol

  • Gosh that aracuan is craaaazy! I likey! :D

  • we need Jose carioca and Panchito back for new cartoons

  • @JoseCarioca101

    I agree. Bring back Joe.

  • @JoseCarioca101 with better voice actors that stick true to Jose and Panchito's Brazilian/Spanish accent.

  • @RayeliB no offence to Rob Paulsen

  • OMG Jose is depressed.Somthing's wrong with him AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Am I right in thinking Jose is just as popular in Brazil as Mickey is in the States?

  • @SamhainTheDark

    Yes,you are!

  • D: this is the last Donald duck cartoon for me... i've literally watched every single donald duck cartoon known to man... x.x [sniff, sniff] it took me forever to find this one, i think it's the last........ noooooOOOO!!!

... At least i stil got a ton of mickey mouse ;D

  • @Tijopi11 yes

  • Thank you so much for uploading this wonderful cartoon!! This is a real treasure and gem!

Muito obrigado por este maravilhoso vídeo!

  • Beautiful

  • hey from what movie is this from again

  • @beatleanddragonlover Melody Time. ;)

  • @beatleanddragonlover Meldoy time

  • this is the first time I've seen Aracuan not be annoying

  • donald came here and took some acid...

  • this is the kind of thing that actually makes me WANT to go to Latin American countries, unlike modern films like "Beverly hills chihuahua" or "Rio", e.t.c. But The Three Caballeros, now that movie makes me want to grab a sombrero and run to Mexico!

    THIS is ART!

  • @NightlyVamp006 JOSÉ Carioca

  • @VenomtheOne sadly the accent isn't one American's have on their keyboard or know how to make. Forgive us our lapses.

  • @NightlyVamp006 It's Jose, but "Joe" is what Donald calls him. It's his American name. :D

  • I wonder if they put those two birds in the game?

  • 3:48 SHIT GOT REAL !

  • This clip is a most precious one. Handle with care. An alltime favorite and allmost never broadcasted.

  • Apanhei-te cavaquinho!

  • Andrews Sisters: no modern girl group can match them!

  • @NightlyVamp006 It's José Carioca.. but Zé Carioca for short, since Zé is a nickname for José.. like Bob for Robert

    hope that helped =)

  • I just adore the Aracuan. <3

  • @darmokthegreen LOL!! XDDD

  • @HiroyukiNishino Because Jose and Donald are so awesome! =3

  • @NightlyVamp006 His full name is Jose Carioca. Donald calls him Joe, and in Brazil his nickname is Ze.

  • Why are the musical numbers that involve Donald and José ALWAYS amazing and a lot of fun to listen too??? X3

  • This is the only time I can think of where the Aracuan Bird actually helps Donald instead of driving him crazy. Who knew he had it in him?

  • @ NightlyVamp006 Zé Carioca

  • @NightlyVamp006 It is either way

  • haha! Muito Legal esse vídeo. Adorei! Brasil, eu te amo!

  • eu adoro esse desenho!

  • what the heck is this? i didn't know there were cartoons based on the movie!?

  • This song is featured in a 1948 disney collection, Melody Time. My son happened to pick this obscure title of the shelves at the local video rental store b/c it had donald duck on the cover. What a gem! I just googled this out of the blue here now b/c the song was in my head. By the way, Ethel Smith on organ.

  • At the same time as this, racist right wing-nuts at RKO pulled the plug on Orson Welles film project because he dared to show actual Afro-Braziians doing and playing the REAL samba. Fragments of this unfinished film have be reconstructed as "Its All True". Welles had originally been turned onto the samba by his collaborator for this film Robert Meltzer. Welle's career would never recover.

  • I FORGOT THIS WOMAN'S NAME; BUT SHE'S NOT CARMEN MIRANDA.

  • @RIVERKINGERIC Ethel Smith

  • @RayeliB ETHEL SMITH? OKAY, THANKYOU SO MUCH, I APPRECIATE IT. I'LL HAV ETO LOOK HER UP.

  • @RIVERKINGERIC Ethel Smith was a organist around that time

  • @RIVERKINGERIC Its Aurora Miranda, Carmen's sister

  • REALLY? OKAY, THANKS. THA'TS VERY INTERESTING.

  • the song is so damnd catchy

  • does anyone know the lyrics???

  • i love this cartoon is reminds me bacc when i was a kid!!!!!

  • wait a minute i know what's wrong with Donald and Jose carioca they like dancing,

so the Aracuan bird made music to cheer up Donald and Jose.

  • What's wrong with Donald and Jose Carioca? maybe their having a gloomy day.

They're blue, they're not in their original colors.

  • @geeljl Maybe they're sad because Panchito ran off with some "Latin baby" :-)

  • Long life to America, Long life to Brazil, Long life to presidents....

  • Very Good video! I love Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, São Paulo!

I'm brasilian, but is the best country in samba!

    Kiss

  • interesting how long ago they had liquor and cartoon characters smoking cigars! just thought of this as my 2 1/2 year old watched the cartoon. times have certainly changed

  • @spanesl They werent exactly to children, those old cartoons were watched in Theatres for mature people xD.

  • @CanoPinto In the United States TODAY you would not see this. Perfect example is that they don't even show it on television as replays or in theaters as re-releases IN THE UNITED STATES

  • @spanesl Yeahh, but it hasn't impressed me a lot when a child. I didn't became inclined to smoke or addict to alcohol even with my aunt smoking like crazy in front of me!! hheheheh

  • AAaahhhhhh My favorite Disney Character!!! The Attica!! ( Red spastic Bird :D) Thank you so much for making this! It really is a classic. . like Make Mine Music and The Disney Legends :)

  • I want this song so much!

I tried looking on itunes but the closest thing they have is a much shorter instrumental re-make version that just isn't as good :(

Atleast I can always watch this vid. :D

  • just google listentoyoutube or youtube audio converter and you'll get plenty of sites that can just take off the audio from the video and make it a wav or mp3 file. Though its illegal in some countries

  • That is thre greatest cartoon i'v ever seen :) Donald Duck rox

  • classic cartoons. thank you for bringing them back.

  • Jose is so suavo <3

  • Simplesmente maravilhoso

  • man...

when W. Disney died...the REAL disney gone with him.... shame we don't have cartoons like this one today...

  • which year is this movie?, I cant belive that eletronic keyboards already existed on 40's :|

  • Regards from Peru, this organ is not electronic, is electromechanical.

  • omg i love these i have it!

  • Perfect!

  • I freaking LOVE this song!!!

  • Is God brazilian???!!! Wow, imagine if He is not?

  • Brazil speak PORTUGUESE, no SPANISH! We are only country in the South America.

  • Lindo... samba no orgão ...!!!

  • God bless Brazil!

We fought fascism back in WWII. Not surprisingly, this very flattering, pro-Brazil cartoon was first made back in 1944 when Brazilians and Americans were together fighting fascism in Italy. God bless America, God bless Brazil too!

On a lighter note, thanks for the post, it's a darling.

  • @lsnows specially when we have a "president dictator" that looking with some simpaty for the fascists in Europe! Your country made a great strategy act: aprochin' to Brazil, give to our "president" some loans to your plans of industrialization and, the most imortant, make with the "presidnt" Vargas take a position beside US, stay away from the Euro-Fascism.

It's true that our Noth-East is a strategic position in South American because the distance with da Africa and some U-Boats on our coast!

  • @lsnows - and we should STILL be together fighting communism.

  • @lsnows Thank you so much for saying this. :) Disney needs to see comments like yours - nowadays they're so afraid of offending people that they just don't have much culture in their movies anymore.

  • @PixarShark See "princess and the frog"

  • This video is very much about my childhood. I was born in Copacabana and just everything that appears is real! Love, music, joy and love for other countries. Viva Brasil! Viva Rio de Janeiro! "If God is Brazilian, the Pope is Carioca." John Paul II

  • in rio we say 'ai caralho!' kkkkk

  • la mia infanzia!

  • Ah os bons tempos de minha infância!!!!

    Alguso

We've got something special throwing in our veins, "brazilities"

God Is Brazilian, as we use to say!

    Congrats, loads congrats!

    XXX

  • the aquana sounds cute in this! ( for some odd reason)

  • oh yeah i do now!

  • we don't say "ay caramba" in Brazil...

  • In Rio we say that.

  • @josianneRHCPinlove Yes we do: "Ai, Caramba..." but without spanish accent.

  • @josianneRHCPinlove eu digo

  • @josianneRHCPinlove neither in México XD

  • @josianneRHCPinlove Well, in The Three Caballeros, Jose Carioca (the Brazillian parrot) is unfamiliar with the term.

  • @josianneRHCPinlove yes, we do. At least I do, sometimes...
